Crypypaw smiled in greeting when she saw Paperpaw pad up to her. Crypypaw had heard a whole lot about the medicine cat apprentice, and she had also heard about Kitchenpaw, who was also a medicine cat apprentice.
Crypytpaw blinked her dark green eyes at Paperpaw. She was not injured. "Oh, um....well I just wanted to talk one of the medicine cats or medicine cat apprentices...I hope that doesn't waste your time." She meowed, her voice growing quiet. Cryptpaw could sometimes get really shy.

Barrenworld padded through the crowd, and then sat down beside Lightlore. The other deputy gave Lightlore a small smile and a nod in greeting. Barrenworld loved it when they held ceremonies. That meant new warriors and new apprentices. Barrenworld gave the cats that were gathered a smile, seeing the excitement on some of the apprentices or kit's faces.

Barrenworld had been on patrol when he had caught Lightlore's scent. The deputy blinked and curiously followed it, wandering what Lightlore was doing. Barrenworld's amber eyes widened when he saw Lightlore, and saw what Lightlore was staring at. "What is that?!" Barrenworld said, padding up to Lightlore and looking at the cave. Could this week get any weirder? Barrenworld thought to himself. He flicked his long and fluffy tail.

Barrenworld let out a small grown as he heard his apprentice call to him from across the camp. He had been sleeping in the warrior's den. Barrenworld opened his eyes and tiredly pushed himself to his paws. The Maine Coon padded out of the den and looked at his apprentice. He looked up at the sky. Yup, it was patrol time.
The deputy padded over to Tiniestpaw. "Yeah, it is." He muttered, letting out a small yawn. "Are you ready to go?"
-
Barrenworld narrowed his eyes as he saw Masqueradeball just blunder right into the camp and "order" the high positions to come. The Maine Coon resisted the powerful urge to growl as he padded up to stand beside Copperstar. The deputy stared at the BirchClan medicine cat. Barrenworld had the habit of always being tense around cats that did not live in ForestClan. Barrenworld sat down on his haunches, letting Copperstar do the talking.

Barrenworld gave a long sigh as he watched Aloi drop right into the cave without knowing what dangers could be in it. Barrenworld knew the old beaver was going to need supervising as he explored. Barrenworld jumped into the cave after Aloi. "Be careful. We don't know what could be lurking here." Barrenworld said seriously, looking around the dark cave and padding over to Aloi.

Barrenworld sighed and looked at Tiniestpaw. "Stay close to me and be careful." The deputy grunted, his tail tip twitching as he looked around the cavern in slight awe. He looked over to Aloi and Chickadee, giving the beavers a small nod. He began to pad around the cavern, studying everything and making sure nothing hostile could be lurking around the cavern.

OOC: If you want Tiniestpaw to be a warrior now, you can. If you want her to keep training with Barrenworld and stay an apprentice, that is fine. :)
Barrenworld eyes scanned the crowd of cats. The deputy gave a small smirk when he saw his apprentice, Tiniestpaw, among the ForestClan cats. He twitched his ears as he glanced over at Sandkit when she came to the front of the crowd.
-
Barrenworld looked around the camp, blinking a little. "It will be just us." He said, looking at Tiniestpaw again. Barrenworld flicked his apprentice's ear with his tail as he padded out of camp, signaling for her to follow with his fluffy tail.
-
Barrenworld blinked in surprise as Copperstar spoke. It was like she had read his mind or something. The large Maine Coon sighed and looked up at the morning sky. "Truthfully, yes." He meowed solemnly to the leader. "I have heard about the bizarre weather conditions that have been going on with the other clans, and I fear that ForestClan might be next..." He muttered to her.

OOC: Who will mentor Sandkit?
A small smile appeared on Barrenworld's maw when Tiniestpaw bounded over to him. Even though Tiniestpaw was hyper at times, she was going to make a great warrior when she became older. Barrenworld glanced over at Sandkit and gave a small nod, stepping forwards and clearing his throat as he looked at the kit.
"Sandkit, please step forwards." The deputy rumbled, his ears twitching just a little bit.
-
Barrenworld stalked through the territory. The deputy was patrolling by himself. His sharp ears shot up when he smelled like four kits nearby. It's like kits are falling from the sky or something! Barrenworld thought to himself.
The deputy followed the scent. His Maine Coon pelt was thick, and it protected him from the cold weather. He saw the four kits up ahead, two of the younger ones were squeaking. Barrenworld gave a friendly smile as he padded up to the kits. "Um...hello there." He said to the kits. He felt rather awkward and he hoped one of the kits could actually talk.
-
Barrenworld cleared his throat as he looked down at Sandkit. He hoped he still remembered how to do this.
"From this day forward, until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be called Sandpaw. Copperstar, you have skill and bravery. May you pass down all you know to this apprentice." Barrenworld meowed. He really hoped he said all of that correctly. -

Barrenworld looked over his shoulder at Tiniestpaw. "Are you ok?" He asked his apprentice. But, before she had time to answer, a rattlesnake slithered out from in between some large rocks. Barrenworld let out a snarl and ran at the rattlesnake, and slashed at it with his sharp and unsheathed claws. He jumped back when the snake attempted to bite him, and he dodged. Barrenworld then managed to grab the snake. He started shaking the snake furiously, then bit down on the reptile hard. The snake went limp, and Barrenworld let go of the snake, which was dead now. Luckily the snake hadn't been able to bite Barrenworld.
Barrenworld looked at the group. He twitched his ears. "Now we need to be very careful while exploring through here." He muttered. "There might be more where that snake came from." The Maine Coon then carefully began searching again, looking behind him every now and then to make sure Tiniestpaw wasn't being stupid.

Cryptpaw gave Paperpaw, Kitchenpaw, and Flickerwish a small smile. The young tortoiseshell she-cat curled her long tail around her paws as she looked around the den as she tried to think of something to say. Sometimes, Cryptypaw could completely forget what she was going to do. "Um....well......I'm getting bullied and teased by a lot of the apprentices in the apprentice den because I can't fight very well....But I don't really like fighting or becoming a warrior like the rest of them....." Crypypaw meowed to the medicine cats, her voice soft as she got shy again. She looked around the den. She identified some of the herbs, but some of them ere ones she had never seen before.
Crypypaw looked at them again, feeling stupid after she had talked. She always felt like that after talking to someone when she was shy.

In camp, Barrenworld was lying on his nest in the warrior's den. It was rather quiet in the camp. Barrenworld obviously had no idea what was going on outside of camp, but he did know that Lightlore was gone, which was strange to him.
The deputy had just finished giving his
slaveapprentice Tiniestpaw some stuff to do, and he had to go on the dusk patrol soon, so he needed to rest until then, since he had recently gotten back from a hunting patrol. -

Barrenworld's eyes narrowed when he saw the snake. Bsrrenworld wasn't really the kind of fighter who favored fancy dodging and battle tactics. Instead, he head on ran forwards and bit into the snake like he had done with the last one. He began to shake the snake furiously, hurting it with his force. Suddenly Barrenworld felt something bite into his her. The snake had bit his ear, but luckily the snake had not injected any venom yet. Before the snake could, Barrenworlld grabbed the snake with his teeth and jerked it off of his ear, and then literally stepped on it, and killed the snake.
Barrenworld felt sharp pain in his ear, and he realized when he jerked the snake from his ear, some of his ear went with it. Wonderful, now he had a torn ear. Barrenworld grunted, sheathing and unsheathing his claws as he glared at the dead snake. "This isn't worth it." The deputy grunted, a few drops of blood dripping from his ear. The snake hadn't managed to inject any venom, but his ear still hurt now.
