"Oh..." Embergaze meowed. She blinked at the creamed color kit who was squirming about.

ooc: Crap, no I didn't. I'll go do it now.

"No!" Embergaze snapped, "These are my first kits! I can't leave them!" Her gaze softened. "Sorry..." she apologized.

IC: Embergaze sighed. "I don't want to be in the nursery. But I do not want some other queen looking after my first kits. I want to be able to raise them with your help, not some other queens'." she explained.

"I'm glad they came out healthy." Embergaze meowed, trying to change the subject.

"I hope they'll be strong warriors." she breathed, licking each one between the ears.

Embergaze looked down at Amberkit. "They are so innocent, I hope nobody becomes a bad influence for them." she meowed.

"I'm sure you would. I know you'll be a good father." Embergaze purred. She looked down at Mistkit who was suckling beside her brother. "I wish Flint could have saw them though." she sighed.

Embergaze resisted the urge to fly back and only flinched. "It's okay, you just surprised him." she assured Foxember. She looked down at Mistkit who was squirming closer to Amberkit.

Embergaze wrapped all the kits close to her belly her tail and looked up at Foxember. "Would you mind getting me a mouse? And you should get something for yourself." she meowed.

"Thank you." Embergaze meowed as she began nipping at the mouse.

Embergaze was drifting off, she was really tired after this long day and she could finally rest. She layed her head down a fell asleep.

Embergaze's ear twitched in response. She breathed softly as she dreamed of her kits as great warriors to the clan.

Embergaze picked her head up and yawned. She looked at Rowanpaw and blinked. "Oh, hello Rowanpaw." she greeted.

Embergaze looked at the apprentice. "Yes, but that's alright, I just wanted to take a little nap." she meowed as she looked down at Amberkit.

"Indeed they are." Embergaze meowed, pulling Stainedkit closer to her belly with her tail.

Embergaze nodded her thanks to Rowanpaw and smiled as Foxember stepped through. "Hello," she meowed, "where did you go?"

"Ah. You should, so you won't get in trouble or something." Embergaze meowed.

Embergaze licked Amberkit between the ears.

Embergaze sighed. I know they're kits, but they're kinda skittish. she thought.
