Britain's eyes widened, "America...I... I'm the one who needs to apologize." His throat closed up a little as he continued, "I know that I don't say it, or show it...but I love you. I love you so much. More than life itself..." beginning to tear up, he averted his gaze for a breif moment, "Everything has been hard on me lately, especially since I haven't been able to be with you... And if I've left you alone to pick up the pieces, I'm sorry. I want help you pick them up together..."

The Brit's face flushed a deep red as it finally clicked in his head. For a moment, he was distracted by the box flooded with emotion. Tears spilled over his cheeks as he smiled, "Nothing would make me happier..." Nearly ripping off his seatbelt, he threw his arms around America, resting his head on his chest.
-
Ray weakly smiled back, hurrying over and dropping the stack of slightly damp paper on Cecil's desk, "An agent from the Sheriff's Secret Police dropped these off earlier. It...uh...came with the coffee stains..." He covered for himself, stepping back hesitantly. He hoped that they weren't too important.
-
"You git, all I care about is being with you. You're going to learn that sooner or later." England muttered. He didn't move; this is exactly where he wanted to be. He didn't care what circumstance surrounded them, as long as they were together.
-
"Alright, don't keep me in suspense, then." he smiled, looking up.
-
"Oh, uh, of course, sir!" Ray stammered hopefully. Folding his hands behind his back, he couldn't help but to let out a short sigh of relief. This job was important to him, and he wasn't about to let Cecil down...even if he stumbled around and tipped over the occasional vase.

(Lol typical dorky nerd intern~)
Giving a little salute to show that he understood, he smiled, turning around and exiting the studio, feeling a lot better than before. With a slight spring in his step, he exited the studio, slipping into his silver car parked near the entrance. As he turned the keys, starting up the engine, he muttered to himself, "Okay... Very edge of town..sounds easy enough, then."
-
As Ray drove, he realized that he hadn't actually been around the outskirts of town that much. He was a little sketchy about the open desert, especially after all of the controversy about whether mountains actually existed out there or not... But it didn't matter. He had a job to do, after all. Suddenly, he noticed a small plume of smoke not far away. Could that be it..? he wondered to himself, steadily driving towards the the broken down car. Pulling over beside it, he cut the engine, stepping out to examine what or who exactly he was getting information on...
-
Ray, a bit surprised to just see a girl and a rather cute-looking hedgehog, blinked, "Oh, of course! It is a bit strange for your car to just act up like that...they usually just explode in mid July... Anyways, I'm name, what's your Ray- NAME. My name is Ray." Ray bit his lip, wishing he could kick himself, muttering, "Yikes, that's awkward..."
-
Doesn't matter. I can start if we're ready..?

With a loud shattering sound, Danni brought her baseball bat down on the car window, smashing it in. Loud noises weren't something that you wanted to cause around the walking dead, but if she coud get in this car, grab the box of energy bars and book it out of the area, it'd be worth the risk..
-
"Mel. Nice to meet you. And Spoons and Wednesday, of course." Ray relaxed a little bit. He always hated first impressions, but was glad it was out of the way.. "You..don't seem like you're from around here..?"
-
As the alarm continued, she took a quick look around before ducking into the car, grabbing the box and shoving it into her backpack. Before she stepped out, however, she decided to check the glovebox too...you never knew what could save your life, after all. As she rummaged around, taking longer than she expected, the sound of the alarm masked the sound of a corpse shuffling towards her.
-
"Oh, yeah! That's Cecil, my boss. I'm an intern at the Nightvale Radio Station." Ray explained curtly, "I'm new on the job.."
-
Ray shrugged, "Well, it's just like any other town, I suppose. I mean, I've never exactly been anywhere besides here, but I really like Nightvale. Besides, we have an amazing new restaurant, Rico's Pizza, but I wouldn't try to get in...reservations are pretty tight..." He gave a bit of an awkward shuffle, "Since it looks like you're kind of stuck here without anywhere to stay, you could always stay at my place, if you needed to..? N-not that I'm forcing you or think you aren't capable of finding somewhere, I just...I have an apartment by the Station and..."

Danni, surprised to see the god-awful creatures had snuck up on her, but even more surprised to see two boys...helping her? Whatever was going on, she knew she'd made a mistake by skipping over her usual thorough scan of the area before trying something like this... She also knew that they needed to get out of here if they wanted to leave this place alive... Jumping out of the car, she took a swing at a nearby zombie, breaking its neck with a nasty snapping sound, then bringing the bat down, crushing its head. Looking around, she spotted an uphill path looking remotely clear of walkers... "Look!" she called to get the boys' attention, "There!"

England's eyes lit up as he saw the gold ring. Silently, he reached out and traced the engraving with his finger. Almost at a loss for words, he whispered, beaming, "It's..beautiful..."
-
Ray's face broke into a grin as he saw the cat, kneeling down next to Wednesday, "Well, hello there, Wednesday! I think I know someone who'd like to meet you..." Looking up, he added towards Mel, "Oh, where does your aunt live?"
((And yeah!! :D))
-
A bit distracted, he pet the soft cat for a moment longer before standing up, offering, "Did you have any other things you needed help moving? I have a lot of room in the trunk." Why didn't I ask to help sooner? he thought to himself critically.
-
Britain kissed him back, seemingly loosing himself in the moment. Pulling away, he rested his forehead against America's, grinning as he whispered, "I love you, idiot."
