"Gyrfalconfly, I found you, I found you! You're in the bushes here!"

Gyrfalconly smiled when he saw him sniffed the ground and then come towards her hiding spot. Good he was getting it. She stood up and gently flicked her tail on top of his head to congradulate him on his find. Now he had one more person to find out before they would try this again, another way.

"Good find Storypaw. Now find Honeysplash so we can try this lesson again, a little different this time.", she old him as she sast down and watched him search blindly around for the other she-cat.

"Fine. I guess I'll leave then."

Pikefang's head shot up so fast he was sure his neck would be aching later. His aqua eyes grew as wide as...well..just really wide, as he stared at her. What she was going to leave? Was it something he said? He ran over what he had said to her but couldn't find any insults or anything that would make her leave. Gasp! Was it because he wouldn't tell her what was wrong with him? Yeah that must be it.

He stood up and succeeded in hitting his head on the roof yet again. Dang he really was starting to travel down the road of the crazy. But this time the pain didn't register with his mind because he was so busy thinking and frantically finding a way to stop her from leaving.

Well so he did, he pounced on her, landing on top and pinning her to the ground. "...Please...don't leave...me.....alone.", he slowly said as he buried his face into her furry back.

Hazestorm watched her contemplate on his question. Why was there so many emotions rolling around inside her eyes? First there was shock, at what he didn't know. Then fear, fear of killing? Then lots more he could name by just staring into her eyes.

This she-cat sure was confusing. Not that he'd say that out loud to her, he didn't want to hurt her feelings. Best to keep bad comments to oneself. Hazestorm still waited for her answer, which he noticed she took a long time at answering questions. It's like she gets sidetracked mentally and then she realizes she has company with her.

Then something hit him. Did she not like hunting? Because the look on her face clearly shows that she felt uncomfortable with killing little animals, even if they are prey.

But she agreed, much to the tom's surprise and followed him to wherever he was leading her. As they walked Hazestorm glanced at her. They walked in silence for a while before the silver tabby tom spoke. "You don't really want to go hunting do you?", he asked her as he stopped walking and looked back at her for a moment.

Kade raced down the streets in his Directorate van. He had a GPS tracker that was set to find Kye's location, he saw another blinking light appear on the screen near Kye's location. What was Lauren doing there for? He thought the fox shifter was working on finding out how the women were being killed. So much for that. The moose shifter sped up, taking a short cut to get there faster.

Right man yelled when the small otter cat looking thing bit him. He tried to grab her small body to throw it away from him as well as keeping his eye on the dhole who was trying to get his wrist. The right man kicked out with his foot again at the dhole, wanting to hit it in the face and knock it out.

Left man wouldn't let go of the girl, only sneering at her and then pulled out a switchblade from his pocket. "Somebody's gonna get a haircut, for free.", he laughed as he reached the blade closer to her face.

The sudden appearance of another girl caught the men off guard and they were surprised for a moment. Kye took this moment to hit the leader over the head with his own metal pipe, knocking him unconscious. The wolf shifter turned to look at the girl. "Haley? What are you doing here?", he looked behind the fox shifter for the sister that usually wasn't too far behind. "If you're here, then Wren is here too?", he asked as he then heard a car screech. Oh good, Kade was here too.

Kye turned to look at Ari. "Ari, kick him where it matters.", he called out as he went over to the goat shifter to see if he was alright.

OOC: I love how the story has progressed XD oh the irony!

Pikefang literally was lying on top of her, his larger body covering hers entirely. But he wasn't squashing her, even if he was not in the sanest of minds right now. He felt her squirm underneath him, heck anyone would start squirming if they were squished, her actions only made him cling tighter to her. God how he was turning into such a wuss.

What happened to the tom that was funny and confident? Well let's just say he turned tail and ran crying wee wee wee all the way home. Now all that was left was the insecure self-conscious tom that acted like a kit compared to his true 15 moons year old self. Gosh how low he had fallen. The tragedy.

"I can't anyway, since I'm sorta kinda pinned."

He didn't let up as he spoke into her back. "If I let you up, would you still leave?", he asked, his voice somewhat muffed by the fur that was in his mouth as he spoke. Ah she smelled nice. He just now realized she smelled like mint and rain, a pleasant smell. He felt like snuggling up to her and never letting go. But that wasn't going to happen.

Strongpaw quietly stood up and swiftly followed his mentor to another location, getting ride of the leaf lodged in his claws as he did. He looked around at the area Blueclaw brought them too. It was a flat area with grasses and right now, a dense fog that had an eerie feel to it. Though Strongpaw didn't pay much attention to his surroundings as to his mentor's words.

"When you hunt, you must have patience and quick-thinking. You must have speed. This is what I am here for; to teach you."

Strongpaw mimicked his mentor's action and dropped into a crouch as Blueclaw had, listening to the older tom as he moved.

"Now, when you're hunting a bird, never make any noises, and always stay on balance. One wrong move could ruin the whole hunt. You must keep your paws in the places where you think they will make the least noise; never move your tail. Always keep it splayed out behind you and never touching the ground. You must use all of your senses, especially your scent and hearing. Once you spot your bird, get downwind and make sure its back is facing you. Once you get a few mouse-lengths away from the spot where the bird is perched, you leap. The bird with realize your presence right away, so you must be quick and agile. Never doubt yourself. These are mere tips, Strongpaw, but make sure you remember them. Now, can you smell a bird nearby?"

Strongpaw repeated Blueclaw's words in his head as he listened. "One wrong move...the hunt is over.", he thought as he watched his mentor. He moved his tail so that it was parallel to the ground and scanned his surroundings, sniffing and the scent of bird filled his nostrils. "Yes sir, the bird is about 5 ft in front of us perched on a low branch of a bent fig tree.", he replied to his mentor.

"Maybe-- Okay, fine, no, I wont leave. Now off!"

Pikefang heard her say. He thought on her words for a moment, confirmed her sincerity and slowly got off her and stood beside her, still a little afraid she would bolt the moment he wasn't looking. Oh my gosh how he was turning into such a paranoid tom, it was almost laughable.

He stared at her with his wide aqua eyes, looking at her hopefully. Maybe she wouldn't leave him after all. Then something clicked in his mind. He chuckled a bit as he turned to the dark she-cat. "You are a hypocrite you know that Darkestwaters?", he told her as he wrapped his tail around hers for a brief moment.

He still had a fearful look in his eyes, but he had confidence that if she tried to bolt, he could and would catch her.

Marley saw that his store was cleaned out, good. He turned to find Ella. "Ella. Are you okay?", he asked as he went to the window to see how the fight was going. Good looks like Kye was winning, and he had help.

Left Man squealed like a pig when Ari kicked him where the sun doesn't shine. He sank to his knees, clutching his prized jewels and started whimpering like a pitiful creature.

Right Man choked under the head lock of somebody behind him. But he was a tough guy and swung an arm around his back trying to hit whoever was behind him as well as fend away the otter thing and the dhole. He swung his right arm while he tried to pry away the hands that were choking him. "@#$%!$@&", profanity spewed from his mouth at his attackers.

Kade hopped out of the van and ran over to the wounded goat shifter with a med kit. Kye moved aside as the moose shifter looked the goat over. "His throat is crushed. We'll have to get him to a shifter hospital. Kye help me carry him.", Kade said as he gently lifed the goat's head and Kye took the feet. The two men gently lowered him onto a mat and placed him in the van. Kade turned to Kye. "I'll take hiim to the hospital. Clean up here will you? Call Alister, you'll need his help.", the moose shifter said as he shut the door, got into the driver seat and drove away.

"I know. But I'm not the one who pinned a cat down so she wouldn't leave."

Pikefang relaxed a tiny bit, seeing that she had no intention to bolt...yet. But he kept his tail twined with hers and smiled at her. "I mean that you got mad at me when I ask you what was wrong, yet you threatened to leave me if I didn't tell you what was wrong with me. I find that ironic.", he said as he sat down across from her.

He went quiet for a moment before he spoke again.

"Sorry..for pinning you down I mean. Didn't know what got into me. You can smack me if it'll make you happier.", he said with a sheepish smile. If she did hit him, he deserved it for smushing her down to the ground like that.

Uh what did this she-cat do to him? He wasn't a big mess before he met her. It felt like the more he was with her, the more insecure he got and the more sane she got. He laughed at that. Oh how the tables turn.

"Now do what I told you. Stalk, think quick, leap."

Strongpaw nodded his head in a silent affirmative and started stalking towards the bird, only to be cut across his path by another apprentice. The rustling noise the apprentice created alerted the bird, making it start with a caw and flap away, fleeing the cats.

Strongpaw hissed in slight frustration as he stared at the apprentice who failed to get by them without being noticed. "You there, fellow apprentice. What are you doing here for?", Strongpaw asked the she-cat apprentice with sharp hazel eyes that stared at her.

He wasn't too happy about failing his mentor and letting the catch get away. Now Blueclaw would be cross with him. Strongpaw didn't like disappointing his mentors but this apprentice, what was she doing there for? Where was her mentor?

OOC: Bree, make sure your posts are in third person, so words like "I, me, you" can't be used unless your cat is talking okay?

A tall white tom looked around for his apprentice. His grey tipped white tail flicked about as he looked for her. He was cross. He told her to be here at this time and not a moment late. The 24 moons old tom frowned. He didn't like being made to wait for his apprentice. But he didn't like to make others wait either. So he liked to be early. "Being on time, means you're late, being early is on time" a crazy saying he followed but made little sense to other cats.

"Aeropaw! Where are you?", he shouted to no one in particular. He looked across the mountainous area which was lightly covered in grass and snow. His white fur blended in perfectly as he then sat down on his rump to wait for his apprentice.

"Aeropaw I don't like to be kept waiting!", he shouted again. Others may see him as strange and crazy, but that's just how Glaciermajor was. One crazy coot but one heck of a mentor. He made sure his apprentices became the best warriors through tough and rigorous training with him. His apprentices always felt like they were in boot camp, a training camp. After a lesson with Glaciermajor they're muscles would be aching, but they'd be thanking him because all the hard work would pay off in due time.

    Name: Alister Coil
    Gender: Male
    Age: 22 years old
    Race: Black Mamba/Cobra shifter
    Occupation: Directorate Cleanup, Medical Researcher
Personality: Alister is a tricky fellow, he is a very lax and laid back, but he's not lazy. He's very loose and relaxed though usually has ulterior motives to his actions, sometimes. Other times he's just really bored and likes interesting things. He doesn't like humans, at all, but will tolerate them if his "commrades" do.
History: His father is a king cobra shifter and his mother is a black mamba shifter. His parents were kidnapped in their animal forms and used as test subjects, but killed themselves so the humans couldn't research shifter genes.
Appearance (picture optional): He dyed the ends of his black hair red. His eyes are a yellow color. He's about 5'10 ft tall with a really skinny and slim frame just like his animal counterpart, a snake. He's got a really flexible body.

    -------------------------------------------------------

Kye waved a hand at Lauren as he flipped over the leader with his shoe. "Besides the usual treatment we shifters get from humans? Nah nothing new. How's the study of the dead bodies going Wren? Is there any sign on the dead women that point to shifters? Or point to a frame set up by humans?", he asked the Directorate forensic.

Left man struggled to get up but was still in extreme pain from being nailed in the goolies.

Right man gurgled and then fainted from lack of oxygen. He dropped unconscious to the ground with some drool coming out of his mouth. Kye turned to look at the dhole and jagurundi shifter. "Hey kid, how are you two doing? Not hurt are you?", the wolf shifter asked the siblings. (FYI Steggy, they'd have to be foster siblings because dholes and jagurundis can't mate, they're not in the same family)

Kye took out his phone and dialed a number, hoping he would pick up.

"Let me guess Kye, you need me for clean up duty.", a male voice said over the phone, only this time it wasn't Kade the moose shifter.
"You guessed right Alister. How far away are you?", the white wolf shifter asked Alister, a hybrid snake shifter.
"Not too far. Coming over now.", Alister said as then he hung up.

Left guy cussed his mouth off. Then suddenly he pulled out a gun and aimed it at Wren and fired. Kye whipped his head around too late. Except the bullet never hit its mark. Wren was safe, and the bullet was caught in between the fingers of a black with red ends haired guy with yellow eyes.

Alister smirked as he dropped the bullet and blew on his fingers which were smoking from catching the bullet. "Dude, that was a close one.", the snake shifter said as he turned to Wren. "Hey Wren, you owe me for saving your pretty face darling.", he said as he then walked over to Left guy. Kye snatched the gun out of his hand and emptied the magazine, then broke the gun in half and pocketed the magazine. "I thought you said you were close, but not that close.", the wolf said to the snake.

Alister gave him a smirk. "Well let's just say I was close enough.", the snake said as he bent down to start his part of the job. Kye walked over to the others. "Ari, you okay? You can shift back now.", he said to the panther shifter. He turned to the dhole and jagurundi. "What's your names? The dhole shifter will need to get his bones checked out by x-ray to see if there are any breaks. Lauren, Haley, you two fine?", he asked as he pulled out a cigarette and stuck in his mouth, lighting it and exhaling. God how he needed a smoke.

    Yeah. Irony."

Pikefang chuckled at her answer. At least she was talking to him. Now she just seems more cold than insane or crazy. Well maybe if...Squirrelpaw or Quickpaw showed up she would act differently. But maybe to him she was just cold. Oh geez he was becoming a M (do you know what that means?). How insane was he getting? Uh she was rubbing off on him.

He looked at her to see her reaction. Apparently she didn't like the way his tail was entwined with hers from the look on her face. Ah but the look was cute. If cats could blush he was sure she'd be pretty red right now.

"Don't be silly. Even if I wanted to hit you, I wouldn't."

He wiggled his ears and whiskers as he looked at her. "Why not? If you wanted to hit me, why wouldn't you?", he asked her confused a bit at her reply. Pikefang knew she could hit him, and it'd probably hurt too, so it wasn't strength that was the problem because she definitely could hit him, she just didn't want to for some reason.

"Are you saying you want me to hit you?"

Pikefang stared at her with a dumb smile on his face. Well not dumb but just innocent and well I guess kinda stupid. It was like he was asking to be hit by her. "Do you want to? If so please do. I'll accept it without any complaint.", he said as he stuck his face closer to her paw. Yep he was turning crazy, he'd have to admit it. Wanting to be hit, yup that was crossing the line of insanity.

He waited for a moment, watching her expression, which was funny. She looked at him as if he had two heads or three eyes or something along those lines of weird. His tail was still tied with hers and he weaved his around her tail, locking them in a spiral.

Then he saw a glint in her eyes and he frowned. Was she having a change of heart? Did she plan to leave now? Oh no, he wasn't going to let her leave. Enough with begging, he liked her and didn't want her to leave.

Wait a moment....did he just say he "liked" her?!?! He thought it over in his head. Then he affirmed it. Yup he liked her, and he wasn't letting her get away. He stepped closer to Darkestwaters, his body looming over hers. "If you're thinking of running away, I'm not gonna let you. And even if you did, I'd find you and bring you back.", he told her with a smile. "I'm not letting you go Darkestwaters.", he told her with a sly smile.

Kye nodded at Calla's answer but was surprised when Haley added to it. He raised a white eyebrow. "And how do you know them Haley?", the arctic wolf asked the fox shifter. He'd known Haley because he knows her sister Wren, but he didn't know a lot of other people outside of the Directorate which was where he usually was, working.

Kye went over to Wren and looked at her nose. It seemed fine, a little trickle of blood but her nose wasn't broken. He pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to the artic fox shifter. "You've got blood under your nose. But it's not broken.", he said as he then went over to check the dhole shifter, Shiloh. The kid was back in human form as Kye inspected him. "Kid I'm gonna call a friend of mine to take you and your sister to a shifter hospital to get you checked out. You've got a fractured leg by the swelling and maybe some cracked ribs. Hang tight.", Kye said as he pulled out his phone and dialed Kade again.

Kade picked up at the second ring. "What now Kye?", he asked into the phone. "The goat shifter, Mr. Phineas has been admitted into the Fauna Hospital and will be there for a few weeks for his throat. Who is it now?", the moose shifter asked.

"I've got a dhole shifter here with some cracked ribs and a fractured leg. Need you to send him to the hospital too. His sister's coming along with him. Alister's cleaning up. I'll meet you back at the office later.", Kye said as he hung up the phone after Kade agreed to pick up the kids.

Alister turned to Wren with a smirk. "I didn't say I wanted your body as payment. Though if you're offering I wouldn't say no. You owe me dinner tonight for saving your face.", the snake shifter said as then he turned back to his work, erasing the minds of what happened to the three men. He picked up Left Guy and made him stare into his yellow eyes. "Now you're going to forget everything that's happened today. You hurt all over because you got into a fight with your two buddies alright?", the asked the guy who mindlessly nodded his head. Alister was known for his hypnotism and making people forget memories. The snake shifter dropped Left Guy and repeated this process with the other two men, then stuck the three of them together and went back to the group of shifters.

Alister smiled at Haley. "Hey Haley, long time no see. How's it going?", he asked her as he dusted off his hands. Then he turned to Wren. "Tonight at 6:30 PM at the french cuisine place. Your treat.", he smirked at her as he nodded an affirmative at Kye.

Marley came out of the store and into the alley to the group. "Hey guys, come on into the cafe where you can be seated and talk. Food's on the house today for cleaning up those three thugs.", the deer shifter said as he ushered Ella into the kitchen where they would make some food. "Ari, get your little butt in here to make food or you won't have a job.", Marley joked as he started making some coffee.

    "No."

Pikefang grinned. He half expected her to hit him, but then the other half thought she was too nice and wouldn't hit him. But looks like neither side won as he saw a little want to hit him but unless he did something to really get under her fur, she wouldn't lay a paw on him.

"If you say so.", he told her as he released her tail and started walking around her body, in circles.

"Let me just say, that's not a very attractive way of saying you like someone. I mean, threatening to stalk me? It makes it kind of obvious."

Pikefang smiled as he continued to circle her. "Attractive maybe not, but passionate yes. I know you're not afraid of me, I don't want you to be. I want you to know that I'm the kind of guy who doesn't let something so...mysteriously attractive get away from me so easily.", he said. Then something hit him and he grinned at her. "And how do you know I like you? I didn't say I did. Do you want me to like you? Just cuz someone stalks you doesn't mean they like you. They could hate your guts for all you know.", he added.

Oh great, Pikefang was back to his old self again, the tom that was confident and self assured as he kept circling around Darkestwaters. Then an idea formed in his head and he smirked. He walked in a circle and once he was closer to her cheek, he reached in and licked it. Then he moved back so she wouldn't be able to hit him.

Pikefang mentally chuckled at the suspicious way she was eying him as he circled around her. Did she think he was going to do something to her? Like pounce on her and pin her down again? Nah, he wouldn't do that, unless she threatened to run away from him, then he would pin her down.

"Mysteriously attractive? Okaay... I know you like me because why else would have pinned me down? Because you did not want me to go. Why didn't you want me to go? Because you liked me. A friend would say goodbye and leave it at that, but no. You had to go and pin me down and bury your face in my fur and beg for me not to leave. What do you call that?"

Pikefang lost his smile for a moment. He looked at the ground for a while before looking back up at her. "Ok I'll be honest with you for once. I...I had a lonely past and I think that built up into a paranoia of being abandoned again. I don't like being alone so when I had that dream,no that nightmare of you saying how I was a nuisance and an annoyance and how you wanted me to go away, well I guess that's what made me paranoid again and why I pinned you from running away. There's my history in a pinch.", he told her as he drew circles in the dirt with a paw sheepishly.

Then he looked up at her. "Even if I was just a friend, I wouldn't like my friend running off on me like I was some creepy monster or something. That would hurt my feelings. Now here's the real question. Do you like me?", he asked as he came closer to her again, this timen not afraid if she hit him or not.
