Morningkit shook her head, "No, what?"

Nightpelt quickly darted after Moonheart. He could smell his sister now. Morningkit! Oh please be safe! Nightpelt felt himself growing more and more nervous as the two of them followed the trail. What if she had frozen to death? What if a hawk had carried her off?

ooc: Nightpelt went out with Moonheart to search for his sister, Morningkit.
Morningkit slipped out to go hunting. At least that's what's happening with my two characters.

Morningkit giggled as the berry juice cover her fur. It felt gross, but the she-cat was willing to help her hide the fact that she'd been out. So she guessed it was for a good cause.

ooc: I don't care if your cat has a crush on mine.
Morningkit let out a fake wail like Moonsoul told her too.

Nightpelt darted forward at the sound of his sister. Oh no! She's hurt! It's all my fault! Because I couldn't keep a close eye on her! He stopped when he saw his sister with Moonsoul. Without waiting for any cat to tell him what happened, he bent down and began to frantically lick the she-kit.

"What do you mean it's ok?" Nightpelt hissed, "I let my sister out of my sight and she got hurt! It's all my fault!"

Morningkit began to feel guilty. She didn't want to lie to her brother and have him think it was his fault. Morningkit almost wanted to tell the truth about what happened, but she was almost scared at what would happen if she did tell the truth.

Nightpelt watched Morningkit carefully and then turned to look down at his paws upset. It's all my fault! It's all my fault! The same thought ran through his mind over and over again. I should have been there for her and I wasn't!

Morningkit giggled at Mounsoul's licks. Poor Nightpelt! she thought. She had to tell him the truth, it was unfair for him to be this upset. Why was he blaming himself? It's not like he could help what happened. But she couldn't hide the fact that her brother's guilt was coming off in waves towards her. She followed the other cats back into camp when the she-cat had finished licking her.

Nightpelt sat down next to Moonheart. Hoping the she-cat didn't mind his presence. He let out a small sigh and felt guilt burst through him once more.

Finally Morningkit couldn't keep quiet any longer, when she sat next to him for the ceremony, she meowed, "Nightpelt, I wasn't attacked by a fox. I slipped out to hunt and I caught a mouse in hopes that you would like me more. And that Cedarstar would make me an apprentice."

Nightpelt looked at his sister, for a moment he felt shocked, but then relieved that his sister wasn't hurt, "You could have been hurt!"

"I know!" his sister meowed back, "I just! I just! I'm so sorry! Nightpelt! Please don't feel guilty anymore!" The she-kit pushed against her brother's pelt.

"You're not mad at me, are you?" Morningkit meowed nervously.

Nightpelt looked at the young she-kit. His sister, and closest friend in the whole world. He shook his head, "No, I'm not mad. I still feel guilty for letting you out of my sight. You didn't have to feel like you had to do something to get me to like you more Morningkit! You are the single most important cat in my life! And no cat will ever come close. Even if I ever do find a mate."

Morningkit purred and pushed into her brother's pelt. The two sat and looked up at the ceremony going on.

"You think that Cedarstar will let me become an apprentice, now?" Morningkit meowed softly to her brother.
"You'll be lucky if Cedarstar doesn't claw your ears off after he hears what happened," Nightpelt meowed softly back, almost laughing at his sister.

"I suppose you're right." Morningkit meowed back, and saw Brackenfoot and Icepath interacting with each other, she couldn't help but comment, "Who would want to have kits? I want to be clan leader! Not be some cat tied down with kits!"

"Morningkit! Be quiet! Don't be rude to your clanmates!" Nightpelt meowed.

"It's ok. I guess I can understand that. But she does have to learn from her mistakes. I would like it if she didn't have to be in trouble either, but I know she won't learn if she doesn't get punished. As much as I would like for her not to be..."

Morningkit pushed against her brother's pelt, "I'll do whatever it is I have to do to make up for it! I promise! You'll see!"

Nightpelt and Morningkit cheered for Badgerface. And then Nightpelt turned back to Moonheart, "Umm shall we go hunting? I mean we didn't get to go earlier because of Morningkit....unless you'd rather not..."

Morningkit blinked at her brother and then padded towards Cedarstar, she had to tell him what happened.

Nightpelt quickly lead the way for him and Moonheart to go hunting. He felt the cold air hit his pelt as the two of them made their way through the mountains. Nightpelt paused to sniff the air.

Morningkit breathed before she meowed, "Cedarstar, I wondered out of camp. I decided I could hunt on my own. I even caught a mouse! But I made Nightpelt feel guilty about letting me out of his sight, and for making him upset, I feel just awful. That's why I know I have to have a punishment for what I did..." Morningkit twitched her tail nervously.

ooc: I think Leafpaw and Luna went hunting. Then Leafpaw, Luna, and Skypaw had a discussion. I think that's all you really missed.
ic: Nightpelt quickly lead the way for him and Moonheart to go hunting.

That's why I know I have to have a punishment for what I did..." Morningkit twitched her tail nervously

Nightpelt blinked and then meowed, "Maybe we have to go out further!"

Morningkit purred at her leader's praise, "I'll think about what I'm going to do before I do it from now on! I promise!"

Nightpelt followed and then stopped to scent the air. The scent of a mouse hit his nose and he crouched down to stalk. He stalked forward and then pounced, catching the mouse easily. He padded back towards Moonheart. Nightpelt buried the mouse by a tree and looked back up to see if he could scent any more prey.

Morningkit looked up at Cedarstar and then meowed, "So how did you become clan leader? I wanna be a clan leader one day! So I have to hear how to do it!"

Nightpelt purred, "Thanks!" and watched Moonheart catch a squirrel, "You're not so bad yourself! That was an amazing catch!" He sniffed the air and bent down to stalk again, he could see a rabbit up ahead. Slowly he paced forward and then pounced, quickly killing it.

Morningkit sighed, "Darn! I was hoping I could get tips! Never mind then! I'll figure it out! I'll become the greatest leader that the clan has ever known!"

"Sure you can catch a rabbit!" Nightpelt meowed insistingly, "You just have to be real quiet and get real close and then pounce!" Nightpelt looked at her and allowed a purr to escape his throat.

Morningkit stood in the middle of camp and then quietly she began to play, "I am Morningstar leader of Blizzardclan! Rouge cats have began to invade and I have to drive off the evil cats!"
Slowly she began to pad forward, pretending to be in battle with her imaginary evil cats.

"Then we need to find rabbits that like to hop through snow on the mountain and not in the forest, that way they just think you're a puff of snow coming towards them!" Nightpelt mewed with an amused purr.

Morningkit blinked up in alarm as she saw Skypaw racing towards Cedarstar. A prophecy? A new adventure! She thought excitedly.

"But you're a very pretty snowball." He meowed quietly and then shook with embarrassment, hoping the she-cat hadn't heard him, "I think I smell a squirrel!"
He quickly padded off in the direction of the squirrel and then bent down to catch the squirrel.

Morningkit watched with amazement. A kit born with great powers? Who would this great cat be? She wouldn't let that kit get in the way of being clan leader before her! He could take over when she was done!

Nightpelt pounced easily catching the squirrel. He went to where he had put his other prey and put it there. Nightpelt shook his pelt and looked back at Moonheart with a smile.

Morningkit blinked and mewed, "I want to know! I have to become leader and I can't let that cat become leader before me!" She twitched her tail.

Morningkit blinked in disbelief, "Of course it's my business! I'm going to become leader one day!"

Nightpelt blinked, "Yeah, we probably should!" He bent and dug up his fresh kill. Carefully carrying as much as he could.
