Nightshade is a handsome black Tom with piercing ice blue eyes. He has thick, sleek fur and a feathery tail, with tufted ears and extremely long black claws. His muzzle is short and his forehead quite high, but he is still good looking.
He is kind and selfless, willing to sacrifice his life for any of his clanmates. As a kit, he jumped through a wall of fire to save his sister, which is why his paws have shorter fur than the rest of his lithe muscular body.
His mother, vixenbark, was tortured by rogues. After having cruel 'fun' with her, they had left her beaten and bloodied. Nightshade, then an apprentice, had found her, with ears and tail torn clean off and already being pecked at by flying scavengers.

Nightshade padded around camp, searching for his tiny nephew, tinykit. His sister, cloudhop, skipped over with her mate and jealousy coursed through him, washing out te sense of peace he had felt until now. How come he was such a loner?
He spotted his nephew and ran to the black kit's side. They shared the same thick, soft fur, and the same piercing blue eyes.
One thing his they didn't have in common was pacience, not to mention selflessness. Where nightshade would help a troubled or confused elder, and explain over and over until they understood, tinykit would look down his nose, grunt the answer disrespectfully then snap at them before turning away.
Still, kit and warrior were close and the game of hide-and-seek they were playing proved it.

He nodded and showed Xeniacrest the fur."blood. This means starclan has sent an omen, I'm sure."

She smiles then gets up to go hunt.
She brings down a mother caribou and its calf, but a bear attacks her.

The cubs mewled and snuggled closer to their mother.

Badach looked up at his mum,"m...mummy?"

"Who's my daddy?"

Nightshade padded to her side,"want to go on patrol?"
Two other she-cats, bladepaw and darkpaw, padde over to join him.
Bladepaw was an ex-rogue with blue eyes a gray fur, darkpaw was a pale silver tabby with pink eyes. The two of them were close to nightshade.
The Tom knew they fancied him but the only cat he cares for was deer paw.

Biro and sharpie looked confused."please sir, we mean ou no harm."

He shrugged and turned away. The three cats left camp laughing, but deep down nightshade felt ever so lonely without his crush at his side.

When they returned to camp he spotted deerpaw and ran to her side.

Wolfkit mewled and ivypath appeared below the high rock.
