    face me, are you tired of living? replace, she was so unforgiving.

    postcards quietly considered the idea, although his mind had been mostly made up. as far as he'd heard, the clans had plenty of she-cats. and judging by the smooth glossiness of the riverclanner's pelt, they were all very beautiful she-cats. or at least, most of them. finally, returning from his quick thought-trip, he nodded. "yeah, that's awesome. by the way, i'm postcards."

    briefly postcards was transported to a distant memory of being afraid of water. then, his father pushed him in and ordered him to stay in the water until he could swim. surprisingly enough, he survived- and rid himself of his fear of water. "sure," he mewed quietly, harshly pushing the memory away and wading into the cold, shallow water after blackbutler.

    postcards let his gaze travel to the tom, watching him swim against the current. he let out a soft, barely audible sigh and closed his eyes, his paws still churning the water. "dead," he replied simply, again like it meant nothing. "your's?"

    ooc; sorry that took so long. Dx distracted

    the tom sighed, making his way back to shore. he was exhausted; not only from swimming but from traveling so far. he'd been walking nearly nonstop for three sunrises. when he smelled riverclan, he was more than elated. but he wouldn't show it. "oh. are you- or, rather, we- their enemies?"

    [align=center][font=georgia][color=pink]

    "do we have other enemies?" postcards asked with a gentle huff, shaking out his fur and sending water droplets flying everywhere. his tongue rasped lazily over his pelt, his ears flat against his head. "and allies?"

    postcards nodded, listening to each word intently. he wanted to know everything he could about this 'riverclan.' he lifted his head and shook out his fur, making him fluff up to almost twice his size. using his tongue, he licked down the embarrassingly long tufts of fur on his body until he was normal looking again, with his glossy silver and white pelt. "so i'm a warrior, right?" he meowed, tilting his head ever so slightly and watching his friend swim ferociously against the rising current.

    [align=center][font=georgia][color=pink]

    "cool," the fresh warrior mewed with excitement. he couldn't help it- he'd never been in a clan before. no- he'd never been in anything at all. he'd always been a rogue, and quite frankly he was just dandy with that. before a few days ago, he'd never even considered joining a clan. postcards though he preferred solitude, but socializing with this tom had shed a new light on his life, one he hoped wouldn't fade like all the other lights he'd felt in the past. "should we head to camp, or what?"

    [align=center][font=georgia][color=pink]

    "right then. lead the way!" he purred, sending one final glance at the sparkling river before following blackbutler into the still disgusting marsh. just because he was a riverclanner now didn't mean he suddenly thought different of the muddy area. his paws made squishy sounds every step and he cringed each time. "how do you live in this?"
