I would say it's just a normal dream, but I guess a normal dream wouldn't freak you out so much.
I don't believe in 'guardians' or 'signs' or whatever. I personally think since there were things in your dream that you've seen before (the cat drawing, your friends little sister...) that it was just a weird normal dream, but I guess that isn't a very good explanation.
