Shatteredkit looked around the room with a confused expression on his face. He blinked twice, trying to make sense of the images that were surrounding him. He was supposed to be going on a adventure, not stuck in a room.

Ya see, I'm writing this fantasy story, and I need ideas for characters, places, plots and more. But at the moment i have very low muse... Any ideas, and I will post the story on here and give credit to you!

    Remember,

This story is about fantasy and magic,
so it can't be very realistic.
Also, if your idea ends up in my novel, i will send you fk!

    Thank you for reading ^^

Jet watched with mild amusement. You never go against he Elite and survive. If they wanted this cat to be a sacrifice, that is what was going to happen. He sighed, and rested his head on his forepaws. If she needed help, Jet would know. But he doubted that Hydra would need it.

Jet watched the mansion intensely, his head tilted. He had seen some life inside that old building, and he wanted to go check it out. He yawned and padded towards the building, looking for a way to get in. after a while, he sighed and gave up, lying down and sticking his muzzle underneath his paws. "Awww" The young pup sighed, looking up at the large uninhabited twoleg structure.

My story is not one that has been told, but now I plan to tell it. I grew up in a loving home, outside of the normal sabre community. My family were not elementals, and believed that their cubs should grow up and pick their own names when they knew what their names were to be. It was a long tradition in the family that the children chose their names, so as to assert themselves in the world. While I had a loving supporting family(for the most part), a stable home, and good living conditions, I didn't know who I was, and could not choose a name for myself. I was an anomaly amongst the normal sabres, with my fur being the darkest of blacks and my strength being less than average, so I was outcast amongst my older brothers. Because of this I sought refuge caring for my baby sister, who was at an age where she was bouncing all over the place and just getting her teeth. She was not yet old enough to pick her own name, but I nick named her Charmion, meaning delight, as that's what she was to me. She called me Gold, apparently because I had a heart of gold, as I protected her. We did not tell this to our parents as they would have disapproved of us naming each other but she had a knack for language at an early age, and she was the first to name me, so to her delight I named her.

One day I was playing with Charmy by the stream in the woods near our cave. It had been a beautiful morning but it appeared as if a front was moving in and we were about to have a storm soon.
"Charmy" I called as she bounded towards the trees expecting me to chase her.
"We should get back or ma will get worried, we may have a storm soon"
"I want to play loooonger thouuugh" She whined
"Well if that's how you feel..." I said turning away before rounding on her and chasing her down the field. I was faster then her, faster then all my siblings in fact, even if I had limited strength, but I let her beat me, then pounce on me 'knocking' me to the ground. I laughed as she chewed on my paw.
"Gold?" she whispered after curling up in a ball on my chest.
    "Yeh Char?"
"You won't ever leave me right? I mean you will always protect me?"
"Charmy, why do you even have to ask such a thing, I will never leave you"
"never, ever?" she whispered, and I could tell she was getting sleepy
"never, ever. I will always protect you."
    "Promise?"
"Promise.", and with that we both drowsed off into sleep.

Darkness, it was everywhere, it was inside me, reaching for me, trying to take me, it slithered around me, I couldn't breath, it would consume me, it grew heavier and heavier and reached towards me...
    "Gold?"
I burst into wakefulness and heard a little shriek as I knocked Chramy off my chest.
    "Sorry Charm"
    "Ow"
"its not that bad, just a little bump." In answer she just bit my leg. We got up and shook ourselves off
"Why did you wake me up?" I asked her
"you were groaning in your sleep and it was annoying"
"nice to know you care, we should get back, c'mon, you know ma doesn't like us staying out long". I started walking off and noticed Char wasn't following me. I turned around to see her standing in the field staring into the forest.
    "What is it Char?"
"There is something in there... I don't know what it is..."
I looked where she was looking and could see the shadow of something in the forest, I couldn't tell if it was saber or not, it almost seemed like... I grinned.
"Its probably just Androcles trying to play a trick on us again. C'mon" Androcles was one of my more self obsessed brothers and had named himself Androcles meaning glory.
"I don't think that's Al..." She started padding towards the forest.
"Char, come back, don't go off by yourself"
    she just kept trotting forwards
"Char" I said uncertainly, as I started to follow her. She was now creeping only a few feet away from the bushes. My eyes caught movement in the shadows, and so fast I almost didn't catch it, a black beast leapt from the shadows right onto Charmy.

"CHARMY!" I screamed rushing with speed I didn't know I possessed at the creature, which seemed to be shrouded in darkness. I could hear her screams and saw the beast slash it's claws along her face, and a deep red line open up after them.
"NO!" I roared launching myself at the beast, letting my claws and fangs sink into its hide. The beast screamed, a horrible cracking sound I had never heard before and bucked around trying to reach back and tear me off. I saw Charmy get up, dazed.
"RUN" I yelled at her, and saw her look at me confused, blood dripped down her face and three red gashes marked their way across it, one going across her eye and i bet that she couldn't see out of it. A look of comprehension came across her face as she turned and bolted into the forest, looking pained at having to leave me but knowing there was nothing she could do. The beast bucked and howled but I hung on until a last moment when I flew off its back and slammed into one of the river rocks. I saw lights flash in front of my eyes and felt the trickle of blood down my head, then as my dizziness cleared a little I saw it take off after Charmy.
"no..." I whispered and got up to give chase.

Please let her be okay! i thought as I raced through the forest. I saw the shadow of the beast ahead of me and I could smell Charmy's trail. I looped around the beast to get ahead of it without it noticing, it seemed to be a bit of a clumsy runner so I beat it easily. I caught up with Chary and saw her struggling to continue. I picked her up by the scruff of the neck and raced to our cave to warn our family. I could still hear the crashing of the beast running through the forest as I ran into our cave holding Charmy in my teeth, I gently laid her on a deer skin as my family came round demanding to know what had happened.
"There is a monster coming, run, NOW!" I told them
"NO" this came from my father, a strong and proud saber. "We will protect our cave." I saw looks of agreement from my brothers and mother. They were a strong pack but this beast was too powerful and I knew it. They didn't.
"It's too strong I can see what it can do, it will..."
"NO!" my father boomed. "THIS IS MY CAVE, I AM LEADER HERE, YOU ARE NOT, I AM STRONG, I HAVE A NAME!" my father screamed at me, his fangs bared. His words cut me to the bone, and he could see the look on my face. He suppressed his fury and muttered "take your sister and flee into the forest"
    "But papa"
"GO!" I stood a moment longer looking at my family before picking Charmy up by the scruff and running into the forest with tears streaming down my face.

As I raced through the forest with Charmy, I heard the sounds of the battle behind me, and heard the cries as my family were injured and killed, but still I ran on, my heart breaking in two. I knew that soon the monster would be done and would after us. As the sounds of the battle faded behind me I wondered if any of my family had survived, if any had fled. No. I thought. More likely they stayed and fought to the death. We ran through the night until the early hours of the morning, when I could run no longer, I had done the best I could with my limited strength. I stopped in a little grove at the base of a cliff overhang and curled up around Charmy, falling asleep almost instantly, too tired to even have a nightmare about the dark shadows.

A rustling noise from the trees startled me awake. I looked down to see Charmy had woken up too with the noise. She was looking weak and would need food soon. I gazed around trying to find the source of the noise when suddenly the beast stepped from the shadows into the clearing. I could smell the fresh blood on it, the blood of my family. I picked up Charm and started to run, but it had more energy and ploughed into me before we could escape, knocking Charmy from my grasp with a yelp. I rolled on my black and looked up into its eyes. The beast was still shrouded in shadow so I could not tell what it was, but I could see the glowing red eyes that seemed to bore into my soul. The beast raised a claw and racked it across my shoulder and chest leaving a three deep cuts and made me cry out in pain. Suddenly a small brown thing ploughed into the beast, knocking it away from me. Charmy was trying to defend me. The beast turned on her, and with a mighty swipe of it's paw, it knocked her into the cliff wall with a sickening crunch.
"CHARMY!" I called running over to her before the beast could stop me. She was crumpled on the ground, one half of her face unrecognisable and her body matted with blood.
    "Gold" she whimpered.
"Charmy! I'm here, it'll be okay. Just stay awake"
    "Gold, run..."
    "No Charmy"
"Please! you protected me, I have to protect you... Promise..."
"Charmy no-" but it was too late, Charmy's life faded away from her eyes
"Charmy!, no, Charmy wake up, please..." My voice started to break and tears flowed freely down my face. I heard a shriek of anger from the beast and saw it running towards me. I was too injured and weakened to fight. I took one more look at Charmy's body and ran.

I ran through the night. I was numb. Charmy was dead. I didn't know if the beast pursued me or not, I didn't care, I felt dead already, I almost wished the beast would come, either so I could kill it or it could kill me. I collapsed. It was too hard, the slashes on my chest burned and my legs were so weak. I couldn't go on. I slept.

The shadows surrounded me, horrible shapes with twisted features, glowing eyes and snarling faces. Their tendrils reached out to me as I tried to run. I ran and I ran and still I got nowhere, I couldn't escape, this was it, the shadows would engulf me, I could feel their burning touch on my chest...

I startled awake to a burning on my chest. I looked down to see the deep cuts and remembered the terror and heart break of the previous night. I had to keep going, I couldn't stay anywhere near this place, it felt as if it was draining the life out of me itself. I got up and started walking.

I don't know how long I walked for, it must have been days. I was in a state of self exile, walking through a barren land. I barely ever stopped, I don't even know where I was going. One day I stopped, knowing I must sleep, but dreading the nightmares of shadows the dreams bought. I lay down and curled up.

"GOLD!" it was Charmy screaming my name
"Gold, save me, why won't you save me?"
    "Charmy im coming!"
    "Im dying, help me!"
    "CHARMY!"
Shadows wrapped around her, engulfing her, then they turned reaching for me, dragging me under, suffocating me with darkness, and dark pure hatred.
    "NO!!!"

I woke up to see a creature coming through the fog. It wasn't, it couldn't be, it was. The beast had tracked me down. I could almost smell the bloodlust on it, it wanted me dead. I could see blood dripping to the ground from under its shadowy cover and knew at some point I had injured it, and angered it. It gave an almighty bellow and charged at me. I was filled with rage at the sight of it. I could feel a weird burning tugging feeling coming from the wounds on my chest but I ignored it, I had to kill this creature. I lunged at it but I was still weak from our earlier encounter and it knocked me aside. I gave a roar and turned to face it. I could hear the rumble of thunder and felt the first few drops of rain, as if even the gods were a part of this fight. I lunged at it and sunk my teeth into its shoulder, while my claws scratched at it. I could feel them scrape across its eye, and I could hear it howl with pain. The creature swiped at me, knocking my head and dazing me. I could feel the familiar tug of the shadows but was too weak to resist them, then they engulfed me.

A burn started in my chest, and I was filled with excruciating pain as it spread throughout me. I is the most painful thing I could imagine, as if I was burned with the fire of a thousand suns, but I couldn't die. I dragged myself upright through the pain. I was furious, I could feel the darkness working inside of me. For once I didn't fight it, I let it take me over. I roared and sent a blast of darkness at the beast. It howled but couldn't escape. I could still feel the horrible pain, but I couldn't help smiling and laughing at the beasts suffering, knowing it matched my own. I saw the beast drag itself free of the darkness and run into the night. I roared out my fury. The pain started to ebb and I looked down at myself, seeing I had stripes like the elemental sabres, but these were different, curved and distorted, and I knew my name.
"From this day forward... I am darkness...! I AM SKOTOS!" I bellowed into the night.

So now, I am a lone wonderer of the Earth. Half consumed by the shadows of darkness that give me my power and fuelled by hatred for the beast that took my home, my family and my life. I do not seek a fight, I seek to avoid company, but I still have that feeling... That tugging at my heart... Although, this time it's not the shadows. Its a longing to be loved.

Skotos yawned and woke up slowly, blinking in the light of the rising sun.
