Oakley heard the thud but figured it best to give her space. You barely know her, best not get involved with things you don't understand yet he thought, waiting by the building for Rocco's patrol to come back around. He took a deep breath in, absorbing the cool dawn air as he saw the sun begin to dip. "We're gonna need to move soon, god only knows those things will pop up more when the sun goes down." he mumbled, still waiting for the others.

Oakley grew more worried as the sun went down and Red still didn't leave. He looked to see if Rocco was near but she wasn't. He walked back into the store and quietly walked up the stairs. "You all good in here?" he asked cautiously, not seeing much because the lighting.

"It's fine, everyone is tense when it comes to the undead" He said, walking closer. "The sun is starting to fall, so we might want to think about heading out." he added, this time next to her and looking out the window. "You know we all have scars... there is no reason to let them dictate you." He said bluntly, trying to break the silence. Immediately he regretted saying it, knowing it might have been to blunt to say to someone he barely knew. Then again it was better she knew now then later.

Oakley hoisted her up instinctively, helping her keep balance. "You shouldn't be embarrassed, at the very least it makes you look pretty bad ass" he smiled, not really noticing the sudden closeness of the two. "We can keep talking about this once we get back to the encampment." he added, very aware of the darkness at this point.
OOC: Think I might go to bed soon, it's like 1 AM where I am :p

Oakley guided Red and himself out of the building and towards the camp. He made sure not to look at her, knowing it would probably lead to more awkwardness. He looked around to make sure there wasn't anything that could cause an issue before making his way across the street and towards the camp.

Oakley walked in as the gates opened. He felt the eyes on him as he entered the university grounds, sure that at least some of these guys knew who he was. I didn't really matter though, if they had a problem they could address him about it, no point in paranoia. "Nice place you got here" he joked, though he was honestly impressed with the infrastructure of the camp. Most groups he ran into didn't have guards at the gate or constant watch and that's why they normally crumbled. The place it's self seemed pretty built up.

Oakley stood their awkwardly. He could tell these guys were put off with some random outsider at their leaders side but whatever. As long as he didn't piss them off he should be fine.
-
Oakley shrugged. "It's fine, so where should I set myself up?" he asked, looking at all the gear and people around. He had been slowly trying to find a pattern of where things were but everything was scattered about.

OOC: Goes to work for 1 day, get's destroyed. What happened sense like page 8?
IC: Oakley was left to his own devices, heading to the boy's dorms Red had directed to him. He looked at the sky as he walked calmly to the dorm. For the first time in a while... he wasn't in a rush! God this feels marvelous he thought to himself, soaking in the slight amount of stability. He eventually found himself at the building and he took one of the few bunks left, a bed near the top. It wasn't optimal for a quick escape, but it allowed for him to do his own surveillance from his room.
After putting all of his stuff, which wasn't much, away in his area, Oakley found his way to the top of the building. He looked around the area, even though most of it was pitch black. He still felt security in knowing the layout, even if it was dimmed. He would be sure to get a better scope of the camp when it was brighter.
