    [size=18]MADDER RED[i]!
    [size=16pt][font=times new roman][i]"the endpoint of love and [color=black]ego
    ."

    [size=11pt][font=times new roman][color=#eb0000]NAME;; Maddercub » Madderpaw » Madder Red
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]namesake;; Madder Red. A somewhat haunting name, conforming neither to the naming style of a Tribe or a Clan or even a loner. Likely it derives from this feline's strange, eerie eyes: one is red, the other blue. This simple naming scheme, however, is not just it. Madder red. The color of blood. The color of empowered eyes. The color of lust and power and greed and hatred and wrath. This is what Madder Red is named for.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]surname;; Nostri Maris Xerxes Simul Stamis Russo Pendragon
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]shortened surname;; Xerxes Pendragon
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]nicknames;; Maddie, Madder, Red, Pariah (a pseudonym she often goes by; means outsider)

    [color=#eb0000]GENDER;; gender fluid, appears female and prefers female pronouns
    [color=red]❦ [color=black][i]gender orientation;; feminine

    [color=#eb0000]SEXUALITY;; heterosexual
    [color=red]❦ [color=black][i]romantic preference;; aromantic, develops into panromantic

    [color=#eb0000]ALLIANCE;; ShadowClan; also the Exiles and maybe ColouredClan later on

    [color=#eb0000]POWERS;; glow (red), flower prints, ability to change pelt/eye color, conjuration, multiple possessions, (and if Lily can scrape up money...) emotion manipulation, time travel, elemental powers, telepathy, ability to induce/take away pain, memory manipulation, super strength
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]mutations;; wings (black), black body fluids, custom pelt on many bodies

    [color=#eb0000]DISORDERS;; None, unless being a sadistic killer and power-hungry evil genius counts.

    [color=#eb0000]VOICE;; soft and sweet, rather feminine, but with a sort of darker, almost distorted undertone that is hard to pick up. [sounds like the Vocaloid IA in Outer Science]

    [color=#eb0000]APPEARANCE;;
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]basic appearance;; winged melanistic cougar with one red eye and one blue eye
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]detailed appearance;; Cougars are normally rather light-colored creatures; they are oft colored with soft, sandy hues, a golden-red-fawn sort of color that allows for camouflage in their dry desert environments. Of course, this trait was selected for with natural selection, but every so often, an individual with a mutation appears.
    This is one such individual.
    Madder Red is not at all red; rather, her entire body is a sort of dark, shadowy midnight black, the result of a mutation allowing for melanism. Her form is simply beautiful to behold. She looks like a breathtaking demoness, a spectre of the night, utterly and completely pulchritudinous. There is, of course, something just slightly unsettling about her eyes, but overall, she is simply marvelous, an astounding marvel of nature.
    From the bottom to top, her features all scream of grace, of poise, of elegance; they seem to be crafted with the utmost care by the delicate hands of the devil himself. It does contrast with her true personality, but, of course, Madder has no issue with letting herself deceive. Rather, her appearance serves quite an advantage to her habits.
    Her paws are around the same size as the run of the mill cougar's; they look velvet black, plush, soft. This is, however, among the most deceiving things. Claws are hidden within the innocuous-seeming paws, shiny and glistening. Of course, these are not just any claws, but particularly sharp, glinting, long claws-- and often covered with the red of bloody remains or the red of the juice of poisonous nightshade and yew berries. These claws remain safely hidden at all times, of course. Madder would never let a little thing like that expose herself.
    Extending from her paws are slender, long legs, ones that give Madder a sort of supermodel elegance; they are slightly longer than those of an average cougar, and despite being somewhat long in proportion to other body parts, they fit into her image gracefully, without giving an image of lanky clumsiness. They are lean, rather much built for speed as opposed to the sheer power of giving blows to others. Their color is quite similar to the hue of Madder's paws, but just a little lighter, bordering a thick, mesonoxian charcoal instead of pure, inky black. The transition of black diluting to dark grey is smooth and subtle, barely noticeable, a gradual gradient creeping ever upwards to the torso.
    The torso itself is slender. Muscles-- certainly there and just visible under her pelt, but not enough muscle to make her seem awkwardly bulky-- cover a delicate skeletal frame. A sleek, rich pelt envelops it entirely like a shadow, almost always presented impeccably. It seems glossy and soft, and it is incredibly smooth to the touch. Not a hair seems out of place. The obsidian of the paws returns in sporadic patches, blooming in ghostly spots against the deep, ashen backdrop like spectral roses. They are quite hard to detect, but they give the fur a darker tone. This fur lightens slightly to a storm cloud color on Madder Red's underside, but this side of her is rarely seen. Being pinned flat down is a weakness, of course, so all Clanmates ever see will be the dark fur that melds perfectly into night skies or shady areas.
    Sprouting from right behind her shoulder blades is a pair of large, feathered ebony wings. They are quite a sight to behold, adding to the majestic splendor of Madder. They are raven in hue, and they have an enormous wingspan; they are literally like the wings of night. Of course, due to their size, they give Madder an easier time with gliding in air instead of just flying and beating her wings loudly. This, coupled with her coloration, adds to her ability of stealth.
    Further back from the torso is a tail. Madder Red's tail is a long, snaking appendage. It is slender, but significantly fluffier than her torso nonetheless. It, too, is a charcoal hue, and dark gray spots drift over it, at last congregating to form a black tail tip. This tail is a bit longer than average, and if Madder Red didn't hold it above ground as she usually did, it would sweep on the earth and drag behind her.
    Finally, an unsettling finish-- the head. It would be beautiful. In fact, overlooking Madder's eyes, it certainly is beautiful. Soft, round ears top a velveteen forehead. Ghost spots dance, out of sight, around a bridge to the nose. The nose itself is not big nor small, an average size, and rests above a muzzle with long, translucent whiskers. The shape of the eyes is rather lovely: roundish, innocent, slightly almond-shaped. If not for their color, if they had been the stereotypical "crystal blue, the color of flawless diamonds", they would have been lovely. However, they are most certainly not. The left eye is blue. A strange sort of grey-tinged blue, though, the blue color of a faded December sky, of fallen forget-me-nots. It grows gradually less dull towards the pupil, nearing a sort of concentrated, icy, piercing hue. The eye to the right is blood red, a dried blood crimson to the outside and a fresh scarlet towards the inside. The pupils are slightly smaller and thinner than a normal feline's, almost reptilian in nature. These pupils, however, are not just black. The left pupil is bright red, the right pupil an electric blue. The contrast is startling and unnatural, and it can be frightening; however, Madder Red usually just changes their color to both be red with black pupils. Nonetheless, these eyes stare into one's soul. More startling is Madder's tongue: permanently purple in color and with a fork at the tip. No, it's not quite a snake tongue; it's still the general shape of a normal cougar's, but an "accident" caused for the tip of the tongue to be cleanly sliced off in a triangle shape.

    [font=times new roman][size=11pt][color=#eb0000]PERSONALITY;;
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]basic personality;; a manipulative, cunning, and ruthless murderer, often disguised as a sweet girl
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]detailed personality;;
    Once, there was a snake. Or, rather, the spirit of a snake, a spirit that encompassed sheer power. This spirit was, despite its power, useless without a host. It had no sentience. It was nothing but a shadow in the air, always attracted to death by some sort of morbid biological taxis. One day, it once again detected death. It was the death of a cub in the womb. The snake spirit decided to take over this cub and make this body its own, achieving sentience...
    And Madder Red.
    A smiling sinner, a complacent killer. She is the outsider– an outsider to their games, that is. Madder holds the strings to her marionettes, always striving to be on top as the puppet master. Her mind whirls away at top speed, constantly scheming to get cats in the positions she wants them to be in: positions of weakness. Gaining their trust, of course, is vital, hence the false representation that she shows everybody. She plays the dumb card deftly, tricking everybody blind that she is their saccharine, sanguine little Maddie, one of the duller blades in their knife drawer. Deception and manipulation hang as well-known utensils in her tool belt, pulled out and used with her unreadably calm and composed poker face. Everything is pulled off in such a swift motion that nobody can suspect what goes wrong, assuming nothing from her elaborate ShadowClan facade as the innocent Maddie, too stupid to pull off something so delicate and complex, if the accident was even caused on purpose. Her own loyalty doesn't remain with anyone, always shifting to the most powerful Clan to be "allied". Her official alliance is still to her birth Clan, of course, but she is a dangerous, mysterious double agent, sneaking away to different groups with her powers. Being the actress she is, she is extremely well-matched with her power of possession-- however, she uses it with a twist. Madder Red does not just possess dead bodies; she possesses live ones, existing cats, nailing her victim's personality so perfectly that no one can notice a thing, not even the creature that she possessed-- and all under the codename Pariah. Male and female, old and young, strong and weak, she uses the best of any body she is supplied with to efficiently pull off her plan. Even if she were to get caught, too bad! The poor body she used would end up with the punishment, and Maddie would be safely back in her old Clan, hopping from one body to another yet again. Nobody questions her elongated and clandestine disappearances, always assuming that she gets captured again and again as her "curiosity" gets the best of her. She always comes back without anything too serious, anyway; no need to worry. They should, however, be worrying their not-as-clever heads off about themselves, for there is always truth to that portentous gut feeling, for Pariah is always latent, always watching, the embodiment of cruelty and impurity. After all, sins are her virtues.

    [font=times new roman] Sloth. Madder Red is not sloth in the sense that most would expect; she is not exactly lazy, per se. Rather, she always seeks the best way to pull off things so that she can do the least effort, exert the least physical force. Mental force is never a strain to her, anyway. One such way of maintaining the least work possible is her game of innocence. At first glance, she is merely a loyal ShadowClanner. She seems only mediocre in warrior skills, and her intelligence seems to be lackluster as well, but she makes up for it by being a forgiving animal. Of course, it all couldn't be more wrong; she is an actress, faking her way under everybody's range of radar, slip-ups rarely distinguishable, if even present. The cats around her are merely her pawns and playthings, used for nothing more than to be toyed with and used to her advantage. This little game of pretend saves all the effort in being a nomad. Despite moving around anyway and having a dual membership-- ShadowClan and the Exiles (she acts as her normal self there) -- she will always have a place to return to should things go awry. It's her impeccably planned yet utterly effortless plan, after all. This elegant femme's intelligence is incredible, her brain working at an unbelievable pace as she stays ten miles ahead of everyone else. "Flaw" is not a word that she can comprehend, executing each plot to perfection. Execute? Wonderful word choice. She's not afraid to get her paws dirty, proudly brandishing her sharp, glistening silver claws. That, perhaps, is one thing that she has little sloth for: killing.
    Envy. One would assume that most cats would never, ever border cunning even remotely similar to Madder's. Of course not; with a femme fatale as powerful as she, most would never dare. If someone were, however, to even seem slightly a threat, wouldn't it gain her respect? Wrong. Madder has a nice dose of competitive spirit in her-- perhaps an unhealthy dose, too. Madder Red does not tolerate exceptions, nor does she tolerate competition. She is incredibly jealous of anyone ranking above her, of course. It is normally healthy for every kitten or pup to have a nice little dream of being a big, strong leader or medicine cat: it sets something to strive towards. Madder has a dream, too, and it just happens to be supreme power. Madder Red will slay anyone blocking her in her path upwards, and anyone and anything below her that may threaten her path. She is ruthless, cruel, uncaring of suffering; rather, she laughs, she revels in the macabre murders, in the rich metallic fragrance of spilled blood, in the sweetness of death. She's not, however, exactly a sadist-- she only kills for purpose. Doing otherwise would expend too much precious energy and waste her time. Of course, it is not like she wishes everyone to die. Merely those who challenge her deserve to die. Those who she deems innocent remain safe. After all, wouldn't it be illogical for her to kill off the entire population? She'd have no one left to rule over.
    Gluttony. Madder Red is not a glutton in the traditional sense; she is not always stuffing her face. Rather, she eats when she has to, never for pleasure. How is it, then, that she embodies gluttony? Well, when she needs to eat, she will eat anything-- even resorting to cannibalism when time calls for it. After all, she's a snake at heart, and the slithering reptiles are well known for even eating creatures larger than them. Madder Red also has an unresting appetite for something else: power. She wants and needs power. She devours it more ferociously than she would devour any carcass, and she truly subsists on it. She cares not what gets in her way-- thus, she is a sort of power glutton, feeding off of power.
    Greed. Madder Red wants more, always more, building upon that "more" infinitesimally. More always subsides to less as she desires more and more power. It's a curious thing, really. How did Madder Red acquire this flaming ambition? This power-ravenous side? Power is truly a primal instinct of the snake's. Originally, the Snake of Clearing Eyes was a parasite, and the only way to remain conscious would be by possessing a mortal and having consent. What better way to receive consent than to promise power? Endless power! It's a mortal temptation, but one that she needs nonetheless. It doesn't even matter what form the power comes in: political power, physical power, mental power. As long as she can obtain it, she can push her way towards World Domination. Madder Red plays by no rules. After all, what aspiring universal dictator needs rules? Material greed is secondary to this vicious impulse. Physical goods are only needed in the context of power: bodies to fight in, wealth to bribe with, plentiful land and subjects to rule over. Surprisingly, material wealth is not the stem of want for power, like in most creatures who want power to attain wealth. Rather, Madder Red wants power for sheer power, and wealth for the power. Rather than a cycle of greed, it's linear, allowing for her to progress with her lone goal in mind.
    Lust. Once again, this sin is used unconventionally. Madder Red lusts for nothing (but power), but rather, she seems more of an object of lust from others. She's manipulative, using seduction whenever she has to to go forwards. She toys with emotions as casually as a kitten playing with a leaf; yes, she's beautiful and she knows it. Her own emotions aren't easily toyed with themselves-- however, when attempting to flirt with Madder Red, one should keep her temper in mind.
    Wrath. Madder Red, as her name suggests, is certainly a creature of wrath; forgiveness does not seem to be something that she comprehends. When she is wronged, even slightly, she will deal punishment. After all, no one gets in her way, and no one can belittle her. The fire of anger in her eyes is, perhaps, even more fearful than the roaring beast scavenging for power within. Despite her usually calm disposition, she marks every wrong away with her powerful memory, and these grudges remain immobile. Her vengeance is always grueling, either mentally or physically. A slight amount of pleasure is taken from this vengeance, but definitely not enough to consider eternal forgiveness. The wrong is merely put aside as temporarily pardoned-- true punishment, or death, would come whenever convenience allowed it. Scarier still than the glimpse of rage in her gaze is her acting. After all, minor inflictions don't crack her calm at first. Rather, she bottles it all up within, so the offender will never know when this feared wrath is coming.
    Pride. Being the incarnate of an immortal snake spirit, Madder Red certainly has a right to think herself above others. She is clever. Dangerous. Capable. Why would she not have an enormous ego? She has trouble viewing other cats as equals, condescendingly seeing them as a lower species the way a human would an ant. They are merely her toys, pieces on her board game, chips to be gambled in a simple game of poker she is sure to win. It becomes habit ever since birth, as she retains the memories of her snake form, the memories of being a ruthless puppetmaster. It is difficult to see eye-to-eye with the cats around her, to relate with those unnoticeable specks that are not considered peers. She is creating a self-worshipping religion, building herself a shrine of pride for her own self: a mortal god. She may act humble or even caring, but in reality, it's all a ploy to gain trust... Or so she thinks. After all, the Snake of Clearing Eyes is not accustomed to having a true body of its own; it is a borrower. However, trapped within her mortal prison, Madder Red still has mortal inclinations: to love, to have sympathy, to fear, to want not to be alone. However much she tries to suppress this humanity, it's there. She cannot help but express it-- even despite her fervent denials. She tries to remain aloof, cold, distant, patching up cracks in her pride.

    [color=#eb0000]TRIVIA;;
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]ambition;; To take over the world. A grand ambition, but her ambition no less.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]best warrior skill;; Manipulation and murdering, although that may not be considered a skill.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]favorite color;; Red. Madder red, to be exact.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]favorite pastime;; Manipulation and deceit.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]favorite food;; Large, sentient prey, like deer. Sadly, however, Madder also takes an embarrassing pleasure in some small twoleg treats-- especially cookies.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]favorite animal;; Snakes.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]favorite flower;; Roses-- dark, crimson roses, almost black. With multiple thorns, of course.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]theme song;; Outer Science by IA.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]phobia;; Fear of being mortal or being susceptible to the whims and desires of her own mortality.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]fatal flaw;; Her belief that she is above mortals. It paralyzes her whenever it turns out that she is not quite the creature she once was in spirit, since she is confined to life.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]religion;; None.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]mates and crushes;; None yet.
    [i][color=red]❦ [color=black]quirks;; It's embarrassing, but she likes Japanese candy and cookies.
    She can change eye and pelt color, but whenever she possesses others, the eyes, by default, change to her usual eye color of red and blue. She often changes it, though, just to make it seem more realistic.

    [color=#eb0000]PLOTS;; Madder Red will basically just go with the flow, but here are a few main things. As a cub, she will cut off the tip of her tongue herself and claim it an accident. Then, she'll continue on in ShadowClan, but then secretly join The Exiles. She will likely also join other Clans in the meantime. She will also fall in love-- rather against her will.

    [color=#eb0000]OTHER;; CAN I JUST SAY HOW PUMPED I AM? I would be overjoyed to play Madder, if you choose her!! ;u;
    Based off of the Snake of Clearing Eyes from Mekakucity Actors. ( I wanted to play with a more abstract character. c; )
    Also reincarnated from Marseillesangel-- so her soul is comprised of Marsie's and the Snake of Clearing Eyes's combined.
