(Ah! Sorry, I was off on a trip. Should've warned you DX)

The rat man screeched, his sides probed with electricity. Immediately, his limbs became immobile and he fell to the wooden ground, twitching.

Noticing the arc of electricity, the other thug was able to see for a moment and lunged at the cop, his arms open, aiming to wrap her in a hug like embrace.

Ardal mumbled as if nothing were going on. He muttered curses, still trying to find that flashlight.

Edgar swooped down street after street, making seemingly random turns. But finally, he perched on a dumpster in a back alley, shifting on the green box. He looked at the neon sign to O'Neil's, his eyes wide with concern.

Oh my gosh... are you trying to make me cry or something? you monster

I always love the antagonists who try to be good, but they just can't. Awesome characterization with Corbett, just loved it. That bit was actually better than your other two, in my opinion. Nice work!

There's just one little itty thing that's very minor. The part where he picks up the bird to throw it into the air again, I think you should probably make it clear his intentions are to get it to fly again. At first, I was like, "Oh my goodness, Corbett you cruel animal! What are you doing throwing injured birds around for fun?" But that's it!

*waits patiently for the next chapter* :3

Redshift couldn't help but chortle at the blue-pelted kit. It certainly didn't help keep the conversation anymore discreet, but it was just too hilarious. "Haha! Alright, a perilous trip to the freshkill pile, then," the warrior chuckled, rolling over.

She stretched and shook out her pelt. "You lead, I got your back just in case there's an attack from the back flank," the she-cat purred, her eyes gleaming. Bluekit would never live that down.

Redshift plodded after Bluekit, her paws heavy. Shifting through the prey, the warrior found a pulp vole and she licked her jaws. The she-cat looked over at the other young cat, Nylkit. Redshift flicked her tail in greeting and took a large chomp out of the fresh kill. She looked up to an approaching warrior with a nod, her mouth too full to say anything without being rude.

The red warrior dramatically gulped down her mouth full of vole. She licked the blood off her muzzle and meowed with a dip of her head, "A pleasure." Redshift shuffled her paws, uncomfortable in the company of other cats she hardly knew. Clearing her throat, she said with a half-false grin to Bluekit, "Eat up, kid. I can hear your stomach from all the way up here."

    I volunteer as tribute! :3

Umm, let's see... Well I've got a few loners, most of whom could react hostile if you want. There are a particular few I've got a high muse for, though.

Clotho - old tabby she-cat, mostly friendly, though
Lachesis - old tabby she-cat (Clotho's sis), she's definitely more prone to fights
Nevermore - raven (can speak cat, no worries)
Eris (or Kakia, haven't truly settled on a name yet) - this girl's a Dark Forest spirit, so yeah... complications, but she's open

Whichever peaks your interest, I'm good with :)

A dark shape blotted out some of the sun for a moment, its black wings spread wide. It twirled in the air, enjoying the soft air currents of the sky. But, the shape saw movement below: a cat. The felines of the forest had become increasingly interesting these days, forming large alliances and fighting in large numbers. Even a lone one peaked the raven's interest. With a swoop, it dove down towards the pond and onto a low lying branch on a tree.

The bird sat stoically, his dark eyes emotionless. He tilted his head, getting a better look at the cat. After preening a few of his feathers, the raven spoke, his voice smooth, "I do not think you look weird. You just look..." the bird searched for the right word, "ragged. And your eyes... troubled. Are you well?"

The raven could not help but pull a grin on his beak. His dark feathers shifted as a slight chuckle escaped his throat. His avian kind were not nearly this funny. From the shadow of the tree, he cawed, "Do not worry, wet feline; your imagination is perfectly stable. You are just looking in the wrong place."

The bird set aloft, his feathers flapping noisily as he fluttered down to the edge of the pond. He folded his wings neatly and looked to battered she-cat with warm, dark eyes. He shifted his claws and snapped his beak in greeting. "Pardon my... rude manners. I do not get much opportunity to speak with your kind. I am..." He dipped his head, as he thought was customary for cats.

    Quoth the raven, "Nevermore."

Redshift's fur almost prickled in guilt, looking over to Shadestorm with large, blue eyes. She tried to flash an innocent smile, but her poker face was never the best. "Um... yeah! It's just back there, Bluekit. To the right a bit more... you almost got it," the warrior went along with the young kit's bluff. "I have no idea what you're talking about Shadestorm."

"Isn't it obvious? He wants to kill you," a voice purred from the shadows just behind Cynder. The silhouette of a marbled tabby she-cat stepped forward, revealing her shining golden gaze. With a large grin of pointed, white teeth, the tabby said, "But there are others who want that lovely little power of yours. You should be careful where you tread in here, Cynder." The she-cat paused, and took another step forward. "I don't think you've had the pleasure of meeting me, though. I am Eris, the spirit of strife."

Now he though felines were strange; they were nothing compared to humans. Their nests rose higher than some trees, and their machines did the oddest things like create light and make noise. It was just all around crazy. But, the bird did not complain. Their delicious food was strewn around as if they wanted him to eat it. He even got within a few fox-lengths of one and it didn't even turn to face him. Humans: a whole different universe.

But, what surprised him even more was the cats and dogs that resided in their homes and groveled for the people's affections. The raven would never do such a thing. Why were they? Perhaps he should ask. Flying over the front lawn of a human's house, the bird blocked the sun for a moment, looking down at a housecat, basking in summer's glory. Maybe the collared cat would have answers about the humans and their animal companions. With a loud flap, the bird swooped down into the yard, a few rabbit-lengths away from the pet. With a soft crow, the raven asked, "Excuse me, I flying over, and I was wondering if you could... answer a few of my questions. You... know much about the humans, yes?"

Eris purred, the sound echoing in the trees. "I would beg to differ, my dear. Your usefulness is far beyond your claim. Please, calm yourself. Just because we are condemned to hell, doesn't mean we can't be civilized." The tabby padded closer, her tail twitching as if the other she-cat were a fat piece of prey. "All I want to know is where you learned that trick of yours; no blood has to be spilled. Even in death, a cat who can heal herself is powerful, indeed."

Atropos snorted angrily as good catnip was wasted, thrown around like a sugary treat. The few leaves that were tossed her way, she scooped up, guarding them like gold.

Ajax and Lydia stepped into the station, looking to the gathered cats. Lydia's yellow gaze brightened, while her brother's turned away, unsure about walking into the party in the first place. But, as Alternus threw out some catnip, his eyes brightened.

"Oh this going to be so much fun!" Lydia purred, walking ahead of her brother.

Ajax ignored her, picking up a catnip leaf in his mouth and chewing loudly. This was his favorite stuff. "Yeah, yeah," he mumbled, enjoying a tingling sensation running to his paws. "Hey, I'm going to talk to Alternus," the tom told his sister, knowing the senior warrior enjoyed the herb as much as he did. Without another word, he padded off, grinning as he approached Alternus.

Lydia opened her mouth to object, but Ajax was already beside the senior warrior. She looked around, her expression as if she was lost, looking for someone to talk to. Then, she emitted a small cough, but brushed it off. It was just a simple cough... nothing more....
