Agreed. >> She's so pale and the lines are reddish, which doesn't mix well on a dark blue background. She pops out a little too much now; tempted to edit in a plain white background.

Wow those are adorable!
I'd probably go for 20k at least as well, but with the new silver system I'm not positive? Maybe try an auction and see how much people are willing to pay for one.or an art trade if that's your thing -
Congrats on the new pup! c:
Hard to say though? I suppose it depends on what type of German Shepherd you're aiming to draw. I know that there are some out there with really curved spines, but those are typically the show dogs.I like to take lots of close up shots of my pets for drawing reference later, so maybe carry a camera or phone with you all the time. Try to ignore her fur and focus on her muscular/skeletal structure when she's in different positions. fI don't have a camera I try and sketch the general shape as fast as possible(usually gesture drawing), and then look at close ups I've taken before and fill it in with the details.

What programs do you have? You'll probably need something with layers.
I use SAI and it easily allows that. It has an option called "luminosity to transparency" which basically means it'll de-saturate the image(if it isn't greyscale already) and then make it transparent(white is 100% transparent, grey acts like a black with lowered opacity). You can make a layer under that and color it white where you want the image to show up properly. Can do the same thing with Krita, actually. Which is free. c:
1. Open image
2. Make a layer, put it below the image. Fill the layer in with black.
2. Invert colors (shortcut is ctrl + i) of the image
3. While the layer is active, go to layer > convert > transparency mask
Should work. You'll have to make an additional layer and put it below both afterwards and color the areas that you want to be white, but that's simple with the selection tools. -

Pff, truly the most enticing deal ;P
Kind of like this video -
I missed my chance..

Sounds fun! I'd be considering a similar idea but more of an art trade/collab hub for artists. c:

Took an hour to warm up with this random deer. Tried to make it look like there's flower garlands hanging from the antlers.
And the commissioned drawing has been lined! I'll continue the stream saturday/sunday to do edits, shading, and then coloring. -
Very cool idea, and that main character looks adorable!
Wouldn't mind helping out with drawing collab if there's still a need for that c: -

Did that maybe... 12 hours ago? And then promptly passed out due to no sleep. Finished it a bit ago. c:
Featuring 4 guys, 3 being my mmo characters and the one in the bathrobe is Ori's dude Olivynn. I was pretty sleep deprived but wanted to do some chibi stuff. -
Artists need no sleep, we thrive on caffeine and junk food and that's all. Stop only to sleep when the sun rises. :p
Thank you though c:EDIT:
Stream up, working on commission from a couple days ago:
http://www.livestream.com/swabdiversstreamEDIT: Stream down, tbc tomorrow

Streaming again! Shading has been laid down, so hopefully I can work through that and then start in on coloring.Stream down.
Most of the shading has been completed! I'll work on the details off stream tomorrow. -
Sorry, no FK art shop. This will forever be USD only. ^^ I will very likely do FK auctions in the future though! I'll be burning through my own supply quite quickly, and I have enough for maybe a month right now.

I MIGHT be able to fit in some streaming time tomorrow at around noon(EST) or night, but Saturday will be impossible. Next stream is likely going to be Sunday. -
