Slade wondered if he could go with Shasta. Maybe adapt to her world. But, he knew he couldn't. He wouldn't fit in no matter how hard he tried. I could turn her. Make her one of us. She wouldn't have to go back to that life she lives now. She could adapt and live with me and Daryl. We're already letting Shanine stay so why not? he thought. Slade glanced at Daryl, knowing his reaction would cause havoc.

Jesse and Tanan stayed down. Then Jesse looked at Tanan and nodded. Tanan was always faster than he was. Tanan sprinted forward and looked for the District 7 and 10 bags. He saw them sitting relatively close to eachother. He snatched them from where they were and turned to sprint back to where Jesse was. Jesse had a throwing knife prepared to throw it at anyone if they tried to attack his brother.

Slade couldn't help but keep glancing at the other room. He wanted to stay with her. He liked her a lot.

Slade couldn't help it any longer and walked into the room. He pulled up a chair next to her and sat down folding his arms and sighing. He didn't look at her yet but instead he looked down at the floor

Jesse ran out to join his brother. They both stood out in the open. "We haven't got a choice. If we want to survive then we'll have to fight" Jesse said to him. Tanan handed his brother a sword that was lyin near the cornucopia. They both covered their faces that way no poisonous smoke could get to them. Then they waited anxiously for any tributes to come in sight.

Slade locked eyes with her. "I'm not sure" he said. Then he added more softly "I wish you didn't have to leave"

The twins saw the ring get closer to them. Jesse looked around for the tributes. He knew they were close to him, but none came into sight. Frustrated, they began walking around looking for the other tributes in order to survive.
