Slade smiled to himself and looked down at his plate. Daryl looked it him emotionless. "Don't get attached kid" he said. Slade looked at him curiously. "Her family will be wondering where she is. She'll leave. She'll have to eventually. Humans can't survive like we can" Daryl said factually. Slade frowned and his eyes dropped back to his plate. He didn't say anything but Daryl had definitely ruined his mood.

Jesse crouched next to his brother watching the cornucopia. Neither had decided to go for their things yet, but they desperately needed them. Hopefully it was water and medical supplies. Jesse hadn't had much to drink in a while and neither had Tanan. Tanan had a deep scratch above his eye from a sword that had caught him during the bloodbath. Tanan refused to admit that it was bothering him though. They needed weapons too. Jesse had picked up some throwing knives before running away from the bloodbath, and he was good with them, but neither thought that would be enough to protect them.
