A tortoiseshell tom with a white tail,a scar on his face and gold eyes padded into camp.Then he said,"Hi.May I join your clan?My name is Icetail."

"Is that a challenge?"Icetail said."If you were an enemy and you knew what I was capable of,you wouldn't want to get into a fight with me."

"Yes I am fierce and skilled,"Icetail replied calmly. His gaze swept over the camp.Then he caught sight of Pebblepaw.He fell in love with her instantly.

"I am Firestar leader of Clawclan.If anyone evil wishes to join me they may."

Pebblepaw padded up to Ferretstar and said,"Am I ready to have my warrior ceremony?"

"Do you want me to go hunting?"She asked Ferretstar.She did not notice,but at that very moment Icetail gazed at her with admiration in his eyes.
