Driftwood flinched as a huge bird shot up into the sky. "Keep quiet," she hissed to Fives before streaking off.

"Trust me, you were," Driftwood snarled as the sun started to come up.
-
Driftwood chuckled as she kept marching ahead, slipping through the trees. "Don't get lost, now."
-
Driftwood yowled a little and laughed. "Yah, put those claws away!"
-
Driftwood looked up. "A hawk," she said. "If I put you down, you'll be its breakfast."
-
Driftwood chuckled. "It's alright," she said. She waved her tail again. "You can still play with it if you want."
-
Driftwood chuckled despite herself. "Not this bird..."
-
Drift chuckled and kept walking, freezing when she heard something snap. "Did you hear something?"
-
Drift crouched to the forest floor. She scented other cats. "Come on," she said, picking up Streak and shooting up a tree.
-
"Well, that's a tribe. We're one she-cat and a kit, so hush," she murmured, putting him on the ground and licking him gently.
-
Drift looked down. "Oh no," she murmured, seeing a few large cats approach their tree. "Do you recognize them?"
-
Drift nodded. "Then let's move," she murmured, jumping from branch to branch.
-
Driftwood started prowling forward, scooping him forward with her tail.
-
Drift looked back and helped him onto a branch. "You okay?"
-
Drift chuckled as she started dashing off, leaping through the branches.
-
Driftwood was completely sensitive. She was just waiting for the end of the field, back into a treeline.
-
Drift stopped and listened, sniffing the air. "Do you recognize any of the scents here?"
-
Drift walked around the field, looking up at the sky and the stars. They hurt, but... They were so beautiful. Drift's eyes followed the stars, the trail of beautiful bright balls of blazes, to the top of the hill, and saw an outline. Softly, she padded up the the cat, all the while wondering. Wondering if that cat was thinking the same thoughts she was. Wondering if that cat was seeing the same stars.
"Hi," she murmured as she approached, dipping her head. "Can I sit here?" she asked, nervous.
-
Drift looked at the tom and the kit before sliding down to her stomach, her paws in front of her, and looked up again. "You can't see the constellations?" she asked the kit curiously. She flicked her tail upwards before letting it flop down again. "Sit still and you'll see them. They're beautiful."
-
Drift took a dive and caught the small mouse. She licked the blood from her claws and looked up as she heard the low growl. Drift pricked her ears, hearing the scrabbling. She stood up, he sleek black pelt rippling over the scars adorning her body. She was young and wounded, and she wasn't about to stand by while someone else suffered the same fate. She prowled through the trees, watching the large cat that launched, and she flung herself forward, tackling the white tom to the side and barreling him to the side.
