Green Lantern Guy Gardner raced along one day when he saw a black ring. He tried to destroy it but it seemed to be more powerful that his ring. Guy also noticed that the sky was unusually dark.

ooc: while you can roleplay a black ringed person or just a ring, if you do you are allowed to die. Since this is my story, I want to allow any black lanterns to die. If you are not a black lantern, then you choose if you die. This story is based on the Green Lantern comic series called Blackest Night. If you chose to roleplay, you can be a bad guy, a good guy, or a black lantern. The good guys team up with the bad guys to destroy the black lanterns and their rings, though. Also we need a black lantern leader, if you be him then (unlike the rule about the other black lanterns and death) you do not die untill the end of the story. We also need leaders. Free roleplays for everyone, though. :)

A bat flew over. "Do you think there is really going to be a huge storm?" he hissed, "Why not come along, it wont hurt me if I do and there is no storm, anyway."

ooc: never heard of it but please help me along. This sounds like a cool story.

"Ok," the bat said as he flew over to the ark and found a comfortable spot to hang from. "But, I cannot see or smell you just to let you know."

Ic: Dad maccaw flew to the nest and stared at the egg curiously. He would usually abandon the nest if a human, rat, or other disturbance was there. For some reason, though, he did not.

The bat carefully listened and came to the lion area of the ark. He then perched himself up on the roof and wondered if there would be any bugs for him to eat on the trip and any animals for him to be friends with.

A bat called Jimmy Firestone hunted in the forest. It was nightime, the time when bugs where out like crazy and where he could hear for them best.

"Nothing," he said, "Its just that I'm not sure whether to take this as a danger, lets move sign or as a lets adopt him and stay here sign. What do you think we should do?"

Though the bat could not wave back (or at least not very successfully) due to his shape, he said, "Hi, I'm Darkness. What is your name."

"Ok," the maccaw said. He brought the egg to safety and started fixing the nest.

"Nice to meet both of you," he said.
