Flintpaw joined the meeting too. It was always good to stay updated with the clan and be there to congratulate your clanmates. January had gone by, both fast and slow. The dark gray feline had only showed up sparsely that month, and it would be the same for a while. Sometimes you had to figure out how to handle the balance between real life and WCRPG life. It would take a while. But at least the student would make an effort to show up at meetings and such.

"How's RadicalClan going for you?" asked the dark gray student in attempt to wear down the newcomer's anxiety. It broke the silence too, but that was just a byproduct. Flintpaw didn't mind silence that bad, however awkward others found them. But it was awkward when you weren't comfortable in your own home. Home was a place to sit back, relax, life a nice life with everyone around you. Paisley would get used to the clan soon enough, but this thread was dying and so was Flintpaw's activity.

An orange tabby kitten tumbled around and somehow ended up among the previously mentioned NPC's. His green eyes looked up at them but, not recognising anybody, he focused them on the host of the meeting. Ceremonies? Hah! Acornkit wished. He was far from old enough but maybe he could just hang around, y'know, to see how it was done. He rocked back onto his heels and sat patiently, ready to loudly congratulate whoever received promotions.

The orange tabby held no interest in getting a pet. Who knew what horrors he would deal it on accident? That was one thidng Acornkit was not curious about. But maybe in this quest to find Airkit's pet, the tomkit could learn a thing or two about finding animals, like for hunting. So the two moon old decided to tag along, not yet saying anything but instead fixing his green eyes on those white birds in the sky.

Well that was something that Flintpaw didn't need to bother with. Sure, it was good to try and such, but the dark gray feline didn't see any point at this moment. There was no way she was active enough and there were a few others here who actually deserved the promotion. The student just gave a nod of support and shifted in her seat. Maybe she would have a shot at a future contest similar to this one. She would probably show up at the ball, but not with anyone.

"Yeah, congratulations," mewed the dark gray cat, giving Lucidia and Kirka a curt nod. She didn't know the first very well but had known the latter for a while. They were about the same age but it made sense for the red tabby to be promoted first, being more active and such. Flintpaw had a long way to go but the winding path didn't bother her. Maybe Kirka could teach her a thing or two.

It had been a peaceful night. Acornkit had been sleeping peacefully in his nest, dreaming peaceful dreams. When the shriek tore through the air, it tore through the orange tabby's sleep too. The sound wasn't extreme because it wasn't close, but Acornkit had never been a deep sleeper. He was already awake, why bother trying to sleep again? The ship probably looked cooler at night. Mildly curious as to what the sound had been - but not concerned, his little ears weren't fine-tuned yet and hadn't detected any malicious tone to it - Acornkit felt his way out of the nursery. It was done as quietly as possible, which wasn't all that quiet with his large, fumbling paws. As he came out on the deck, his green eyes adjusted to the moonlight and he looked around. Still on the boat, mind you. He had never sneaked off of it before. Probably was against the rules or something.

But since when had rules ever satisfied Acornkit's curiosity?

    trackpost

Late. Better late than never, he supposed. He couldn't just outright miss his first clan meeting. The orange tabby didn't catch the announcement but everyone seemed to be congratulating that one guy... Caz or something, as far as he remembered. And congratulating was for when a good thing happened. Maybe he got an award or promotion or something like that. "Congratulations," Acornkit spoke quietly, watching the German shepherd. He was mighty curious as to what all the commotion was about but figured he could ask later.

The little orange tabby kit did fall under the category of 'everyone'. So come he did, with that little bounce in his step and the occasional stumble over his big clumsy paws. As his green eyes landed on the corpse they widened instantly. The two moon old had never encountered such a sight before and had no clue how to react. So he stood there, almost frozen in confusion. He wasn't scared - because, well, there was no threat against him. But he would be if he knew what had happpened.

Acornkit's attention was caught at the word 'training'. The two moon old had never been to one of those. He was at the stage of being curious about everything and might take a while to grow out of it. If he ever did. But instead of yelling out some hyper exclamation or other, his green eyes were bright as he tripped on the way over. Other than that he was silent, not too certain in his enthusiasm because all the others seemed kind of reluctant. But he was enthusiastic nonetheless.

"Yeahh," exclaimed the orange tabby kit, tumbling over. The two moon old honestly didn't do much, most of his time was spent in the nursery. But those things he did do were done with enthusiasm and curiosity. He wondered what game it was but held his tongue, because apparently they needed more players to join in. That gave Acornkit a clue or two about what game it might be, but of course it was all theoretical. He couldn't say for sure.

Well, training was something desperately needed but somehow washed down the drain. The student had had hardly any battle practice during her eight moons of living, which had been her fault. She hadn't had any battles or deadly encounters, luckily, but Flintpaw did admit that it was best to be prepared. So a bit late at Fairygarden's announcement, the dark gray student ambled over, not reluctantly but not overly comfortable.

"I'm in," she mewed as her blue eyes looked around. Sadly she'd be no match for any students her age physically, but she trusted herself enough to be strong mentally, learning fast and enduring pain and such. So she didn't mind being up against anyone, really. As long as they didn't mind her lack of skills in the fighting department.

Whoah, maybe his clanmate wasn't doing so well but she needed space too. Acornkit was quite confused about twhat was happening. But all the others were asking her questions and such, so he figured he didn't need to. Plus, he didn't really know these cats so it would be strange if he started going and comforting them. Casting a sideglance to Majorpaw, who seemed to be fazed by something, Acornkit sat on his haunches and waited, silent.

The orange tabby looked around, becoming uneasy. He noticed that all these cats were pretty confident, as if they knew what they were doing. Well, Acornkit didn't know what he was doing. He was mighty curious to learn all about fighting but wasn't sure where to start.

Eventually he just walked over to the white feline offering to mentor. "Can you teach me?"

Acornkit nodded. He had just experienced a both dramatic and disastrous scene. The two moon old didn't quite know what to make of it. But he had no business here, and everyone seemed to be alright... sort of. The orange tabby nodded to Majorpaw and then left the thread, curling back up in his nest.
