"..." The silver tabby gave him a blank stare for a few moments, trying to process just what she had heard and what it would mean. It all clicked, and she suddenly flew right past him. "Ohnoohnoohnoohnoohno-- Ripplekit, you'll be the DEATH of me!" Lilypond stopped and looked back. "Excuse me... I believe she left camp chasing the butterfly. I need to go get my kit back."
    --
Lilypond would have to hurry; already the kit (who happened to have caught the butterfly) had ran into trouble. Ripplekit looked curiously at the creature that stood before her. "Whoa... you look like a skunk!", She giggled cluelessly. "Sorry though Mr. Skunk, I need to go now. Bye!" Ripplekit turned around and went on her way back to camp; unknown to her, she was being followed by the animal. It wasn't any ordinary, peaceful animal, however.

    It was a badger.

Lilypond dashed forward, prepared to tear apart anything that got in her way. She followed the scent of her kit, growing closer and closer...

    --

...and Ripplekit bumped right into her. She let out a wail of frustration as her butterfly escaped and flew away. "MOM, WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOOOOOOR!?!?" She shrieked, not noticing her mother's horrified expression as she stared at the badger behind them.

"Go." Her mother ordered, not taking her eyes off the badger once. Ripplekit frowned and stared at Lilypond. Why did she have to be so protective? "But moo-" "GO." Now the silver tabby was staring directly at her, stiff with seriousness. The blue tabby kit whimpered under the stern gaze and nodded before hurrying back to camp.

Lilypond then looked up and glared at the badger, which was preparing to tackle her. She crouched down, hissing furiously...

    ...and jumped.

OOC: Sorry for not responding for awhile... there was a storm in my area, so I couldn't use the comp.

IC: Lilypond suddenly padded into camp, carrying Ripplekit by her scruff. There had been a scowl on her face (Along with a suspicious scar on her face), but it vanished instantly at the sight of the clan meeting. As she went to sit down, Ripplekit was as excited as ever. "SWIFTBREEZE! SWIFTBREEZE! SWIFTBREEZE!"

Lilypond nodded in acknowledgement, while Ripplekit squealed and waved enthusiastically. "Strudelkit! You'll never guess what happe-" She was quickly muffled by her mother. Lilypond stared at her kit with a silent warning before returning her gaze to Strudelkit. "I'm afraid we can't talk about what happened now..." She told Strudelkit.

OOC: Umm... sorry for asking this again, but does anyone know the current weather in the rp?

IC: Selina sighed as she finished her 69th lap of walking repetitively around in a circle. She stopped and looked around, examining the camp once more for something interesting. Giving up, the wolf pup climbed to her feet and decided to go for a walk through the forest. Who knows; I might run into something really cool... Selina thought hopefully before disappearing into the trees.

    OOC: Ty! ^^

IC: Selina padded along, in a relatively cheery mood despite her boredom. Suddenly, a familiar scent entered her nostrils. Twitching her nose, she followed the smell until she arrived at its origins.

    "Hey, Skittles!"

She froze. "Wait... did I just circle back to camp...?" The pup giggled at her lack of direction.

Lilypond brought her kit into the nursery, and gazed at her. "Why did you leave the camp?", She asked, eerily calm. Ripplekit stared at the ground, realizing how disappointed her mother probably was.

"Well... I saw a butterfly...", She mumbled, "and it left the camp borders... but I wanted to impress you guys so I followed it so I could catch it and stuff and I ran into a weird looking skunk animal that wasn't a skunk and I told him I had to go and he followed me and I ran into you and--" Ripplekit's run-on sentence was interrupted with a paw on her mouth.

"That's enough. From now on, I will be the one to bring you food. No more going out on your own. Now then, you will eat. I will not have you starve." Ignoring her pouting kit, Lilypond stepped over to the nursery's exit. However, she stopped. "And before I forget... no. More. Butterflies. " And she was gone.

Selina stopped smiling at Skittles to observe the situation. "Hey... how come Rafi looks so... sad...? And... scared?", She commented, "And why are Kujo and Midnight giving her that look?". Selina stepped closer, tilting her head in confusion.

Ripplekit nodded. "Hey... how about I tell you what happened while mom gets me some food?", Ripplekit questioned as a grin formed on her face.

    --

Lilypond stopped suddenly and glanced back at the nursery. "Why do I get the feeling that Ripplekit's doing something foolish again?" She murmured before continuing on her way.

Ripplekit grinned and leaned close to her fellow kit. "Alright, so first I was on my way to the fresh kill pile for a mouse..."

    --

Lilypond leaned down and looked through the pile. "...Hmm... maybe this mouse... no, wait, I'm punishing her... this vole looks suitable..."

Selina was already a decent distance from the camp when she took a break. She stared back to her home, fur bristling fiercely. The image of a pup trying to kill his own mother was utterly heartbreaking. The female pup lowered her head, completely overwhelmed. I think I'll stay here for awhile... She decided.

Ripplekit's grin became wider. "Well, I saw a REALLY cool butterfly. I decided to follow it and--"

    --

Lilypond suddenly entered the nursery, immediately causing her kit to go silent. Giving her a suspicious look, she dropped a vole at Ripplekit's feet. "Eat." She curled up and glanced over at Strudelkit. "Ahh, nice to see you again, Strudelkit." Lilypond gave a pleasant smile.

    --

Draaat... it was getting to the good part, too... Ripplekit moaned mentally before starting on her vole.

"Moom... why couldn't you get me a mooouuuuse?"

"I would have if you didn't wander off like that!"

    "Ughgghhhh..."

Suddenly, Lilypond's ear twitched. She had a sudden feeling of dread in her gut, as if something bad had happened. What was that...? Brushing the feeling off, she maintained a calm expression.

    --

Ripplekit returned the look, as if to say, 'I'll finish the story later'.

A silver marked face appeared, staring at the wolves from the trees. "H-hey... you guys...? S-sorry about me r-running and a-all... wha... what happened while I was g-g-gone...?", Selina stuttered, looking around. To her surprise, everything seemed relatively normal. "Huh...?"

"Stay here.", Lilypond ordered in a voice that told Ripplekit that this wasn't a joke. The kit sat obediently, still nibbling on her vole, as her mother ran out of the nursery.

    --

"What happened!?" Lilypond yelled, a frantic edge to her voice as she hurried over to Strudelkit and the unconscious Sapstar.
