(Hmm... Due to his nature as a supernatural creature himself I'd say he can definitely see through her guise, the regular illusion magic she uses not really working on him since it was designed to hide her from humans. With that, I'll start us off!)
With the moon hung high in the sky, a silent watcher of the world, Dawn made her way home from an unusually exhausting day of work. She loved walking home on beautiful nights like these, mostly because there was no more people to deal with ony most occasions. She had enough encounters with people doing the job that let her get by in life, both literally and financially. Despite the rather fortunate dual purpose of the job, supporting both her supernatural and worldly needs at once, she couldn't help but feel like it made the rest of life feel rather empty. Combine that with the fact that she cut her emotional love life off for the past few years and you had a rather depressed young girl. Moonlit nights like the one she made her way through gave her a sense of peace and tranquility, a feeling of belonging if only so very brief.
As Dawn turned down the increasingly heavily forested area that led to her quaint home on the outskirts of town, a large rustling was heard from within the forest. It was not the typical noises of the woods that she often heard on her treks back home, but something far larger. Had someone decided to start cutting trees down in the dead of night without any modern tools? She shook her head, the thought cementing in how unlikely such a thing would be. Was it perhaps a bear that had wandered too far from the usual trappings of the massive forest? She decided if that was the case it was best that she deal with it now before it accidently crossed into the more populated areas. At least scare it off if nothing else.
The kitsune was happy that she had decided to wear a skirt that was definitely on the shorter side to work that day, because as she moved off the side of the road into the forest, the brambles of the living ecosystem were unrelentless. It wasn't before too long that her legs felt quite scratched up, but at least her clothes were mostly making it through unscathed. Well, as unscathed as they could going through a dense forest. Rips and tears began to appear quite commonly across her clothes, but thankfully nothing severe. Still though, she was going to have to toss this outfit or get it repaired. A deep sigh left her lips at the prospect, but she forged on.
Another massive rustling was heard, this time much louder and much closer. That didn't quite sound like a bear she noted, apprehensively continuing to the noise. There was a light tremble to her movments now as she neared the source of the sounds. Thankfully the canopy of the forest wasn't as dense as the sheer amount of trees would otherwise lead one to beleive, allowing the moonlight to penetrate in and illumate the woods with an ominous glow. As she pondered over what could be making such noises in the otherwise fairly quite night time forest, her senses began to pick up a singular life force that stood out from the rest of the forest creatures that faintly made their tiny energy's known.
Dawn's eyes went wide as she got closer. The sheer level of power given off by whatever it was incredible. The kitsune had never experienced such an oppressing essence in her entire life, not even her father who was a master of his supernatural form. She tensed up incredibly quickly, scared to even continue. What could be out there that sent such waves of power that she could literally feel it before it was close? She debated turning back and fleeing from the source, desiring to let someone else deal with whatever it was, but then she noticed something else. Something more overpowering than the life force. A scent. Her body swooned as the wind sent it further in her direction. What was that? Whatever it was, her body screamed out in demand that it desired to find out.
With eyes glazed over, a certain want written across her face, and thoughts clouded by whatever that scent was, she pressed forward. Her movements were still filled with trepidation as she moved to what was now appearing to be a decently large clearing in the otherwise dense greenery, but they also had a sluggishness to them that she herself wasn't quite aware of. The more steps she took, the more her body felt on fire. Then she froze up upon entering the open area, spotting something massive near the center. Dawn dropped her illusion magic to summon a bright blue orb in her hand, a manifestation of her life drain powers brought visual form. "W-What are you? W-Who are you?" she questioned, both voice and body quivering in an odd mixture of undesired lust and fear. Now the energy the creature was given off was almost suffocating, and at the same time it was amazing. She could gorge herself on it and it wouldn't even make a dent in that well of power! The thought terrified her at what could be so strong, but excited her at the prospect of potentially draining more than just what was required to live. No, this thing had enough essence to really make her feel alive, whatever it was.
(Hopefully that's a good start!)
