Generations ago, there was a tom by the name is Alex. He and his twin brother Zephyr traveled through the forest for years, living on the prey there was there and water from a nearby river. They loved adventure and often searched for she-cats to talk to and become friends. Soon, Alex and Zephyr were one of the best-loved tomcats in the forest.
But one day, Alex became mates with a she-cat named Hilary. Since Alex only traveled with his brother, there wasn't much family to meet. As for Hilary, there was. Alex and Zephyr met Hilary's parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts--whatever you thought of, they met them. And then there was Jaky.
Jaky was Hilary's half-sister who greatly despised toms, even her own father. As soon as she caught the scent of the twins, she was aggressive in an instant. She hated them, even though they'd done nothing wrong. Soon, Zephyr and Jaky became friends and made a secret vow to take over the forest and break Alex's reign.
And so they did. Alex and Hilary were overthrown by other rebel felines, and the two new rulers had the guts to kick the rebels out too. They ruled. But most stories like this have a great, heroic feline to slay Jaky and Zephyr, correct? Well, guess who's wrong?
Jaky and Zephyr's reign lasted countless moons, and later on Hilary had caught a horrible flu. Knowing she was in one of her greatest state of weakness, Jaky ordered a group of assassins to kill her and Alex. But Zephyr said that they should wait and let them suffer. Really, Zephyr just wanted to protect his brother and sister-in-law. But the two rulers got into a huge fight over what to do. And as it ended... both cats lay on the ground--dead.
So the cats, rebel and not, came back and re-accepted Alex and Hilary back into their rightful ruling. Soon, many generations past, and there was a sudden change. There was a male Healer by the name of Kindle, and everyone loved him so much, he was nicknamed the 'Healer of the Century.' He was amazing at his job, finding every omen and herb there was.
But one day, there was a mysterious eclipse. Prey hid for a moon and the tribe, currently named the Tribe of Flowing Rivers, starved. When the first piece of prey arrived, everyone became suspicious, even the leader. Was there a way to stop this that they didn't know? After a while of finger-pointing and clue-finding, it all came to rest on Kindle's shoulders.
Who can guess who turned the poor tom in first? It was Flowe, Kindle's feminine apprentice. She knew that the Tribe of Twinkling Stars had to have sent an omen to warn the tribe, and that because she was so new at her job and never received anything, that Kindle was the only one who could receive them.
But before the eclipse, the Tribe of Twinkling Stars, which is their StarClan, did in fact send a message. It was intercepted, though, by Zephyr and Jaky from the Tribe of Dancing Shadows. So really, Kindle, nor Flowe, ever got the message of warning in time or at all.
So the tribe kicked poor ol' Kindle out. But then, something sudden happened. Every she-cat in the tribe, including the Protector's daughter, turned against the male members. Toms were kicked out; half-gender cats were imprisoned; rebels were killed or locked up; she-cats filled the high positions like a flash flood.
Later, the previous Protector's daughter, Hetilia, changed the tribe's name and hierarchy. From now on, the Tribe of Ruling Queens was an evil feminist tribe. More and more generations passed, and during that time many changes and rules were established--and the tribe was completely refreshed.
