Cooper was devastated. The first cat in moons, and he blew it. His only chance to make a friend, desperate, he called out to her.
"Wait! I want to come with you!"
Pausing, he added hastily, "If that's alright with you..."

The pure white she-cat cautiously padded into the den. No cat was there. She sighed, long ago, she had been exiled from her clan when she failed to save the clan's deputy from a deadly case of greencough. It was later revealed however, that Stormbreeze, an ambitious warrior, had hid the catmint so his sister could become the next medicine cat, and therefore help him become leader. The she-cat, Snowpoppy, had fled across the border, and trekked for days, searching for a safe place with food and shelter. But with no avail.
"Hello?" she called out. "Is anybody in here?"

"Yes!" Cooper couldn't hold in the yowl of triumph. Embarressed, he looked away and flicked his tail.
"So where are we headed?"

"Oh ok." he paused before continuing. "You choose then."

The she-cat whipped around to face Snowbird, startled she fell to the ground.

Snowpoppy sat up and licked the dust out of her fur.
"I'm fine thank you. Just a little hungry"

Snowpoppy weakly lifted her muzzle and sniffed the blackbird. It smelled pretty fresh, although she was unsure. Not wanting to look ungrateful, the she-cat gulped the bird in swift, quick bites.
