Saying goodbye to Sakura, Kita nodded and followed Whitetip through the forest to a small clearing that was filled with protoceratops. Kita turned to Whitetip, waiting.

Kita understood at once what was happening. She cawed loudly along with Whitetip. "KIRAI! KIRAI!" The prey ran away, but she didn't care. Her belly was full anyway. What if Kirai leaving was her fault?

Nighttail's eyes widened in surprise. "You know her? How? Is that one of the reasons why she didn't help us? Not that I'm blaming you." she blurted out questions.

"So what, you guys stopped being friends or something, and now she hates you?" Nighttail guessed.

Kita kept up with them. She didn't want to see Kirai go. She stayed out of the way and watched as Whitetip and Death Note tried to pin him. I guess he just couldn't take the presence of so many females. Kita thought. Maybe my arrival was to much. She sighed. If Sakura were here, they might be able to take on Kirai and convince him that he should stay. After all, he had helped Whitetip many times. "Don't leave, Kirai." she cawed, even though Kirai proably couldn't hear her.

"Oh.' Nighttail was silent for a moment. "Well, maybe we can convince her to be more friendly---" she broke off as Cloudmist came in with cobwebs in his jaws. She sighed. This conversation would have to wait.

"Thanks." Kita cawed softly. She hated to see Whitetip like this. When they finally got back to camp, they all curled up in their dens. Kita curled up next to Whitetip. "Sakura's staying, right?" she asked.

Cloudmist blinked. He looked dazed. "Okay. You two can go." He let them leave the den. "Wow." Nighttail mewed. "Your charm is very handy." She padded out of the den and led Goldenpelt out into the safest part of the forest. "So, as I was saying," Nighttail mewed. "Maybe we can help your friend. Make her less hostile. In the meantime, we should keep an eye out for those foxes. It was like, a whole Clan of them! I wonder where they live."
