After a group of ancient cats(Tribe of Blazing Coals) died out in a territory not far from the forests of Torch Towers, their descendants come together to find happiness in a wild cat lifestyle. These modern cats, however, had no idea how their ancestors lives had been lived. The ways of the tribes had been lost to the new cats.
The reborn civilization is crumbling again when a former loner joins their ranks and shares with them stories of distant cat clans that lived by a code of honor and fought for the well-being of their comrades. Alliances, traitors, droughts, wars, and glory filled his stories to the brim. The cats, enchanted, took on the Clan cats' beliefs of Star Clan and the Warrior Code.
The group of cats, who were still a meager clan with only a population of 8, found a place where they could live their lives in peace with few issues. This territory was called the Torch Tower National Park, but the newly-made 'Clan' cats decided to inhabit it anyways, for there were few twolegs that would bother them.
Eventually, Inferno Clan, as it was called, divided into five clans, each with differing ideals and dreams of the future. Each Clan kept the basic code of law and beliefs, and they continued to meet under a peace treaty every full moon.
Still, these newborn clans have many challenges yet to face.

~Five Clans of Torch Tower Nature Reserve~
Tinder Clan- lives in a forest canyon area with many places to hide and observe nature. Dens are usually made deep in the canyon walls or in dead trees and bushes. There are quite a few stinging nettles in this area. Main prey items are mice, chipmunks, squirrels, and the occasional bird. Excels with climbing and jumping skills.

Char Clan- lives in a shallow quarry consisting of mainly darker colored rocks. Dens are usually made in bushes and shrubs on the edges of the quarry wall. There is a small spring nearby, but most times of the year it is too muddy to drink. Main prey items are chipmunks, lizards, and frogs. Excels with agile movement and accuracy.

Flare Clan- lives on a prairie land with tall grasses and few trees. However, Flare Clan usually has an abundance of herbs. Dens are usually made either in hollow trees or not at all. There is a gentle brook close to the camp. Main prey items are rabbits, mice, and the occasional snake. Excels with running distances and leaps.

Glow Clan- lives in a forest with many animals and plants. Their camp lies only ten feet away from a small, trickling waterfall pool. Dens are usually made from bushes, trees, or in little crevices in the waterfall's cliffs. Main prey items are mice, lizards, chipmunks, and frogs. Excels in brute force and strategy.

Luminous Clan- lives on a high peak near a wide river. The river sometimes has glaciers floating down until they melt. Cats usually sleep out in the open, but retreat to a small cave in their territory during bad weather. Main prey items are shrews, rats, and birds. Excels in climbing and fighting in enclosed spaces.

Appearance Details: Her fur is medium length and is quite tangled up. Her tail is shorter than average and her face is quite natural looking.
History: Born and raised in Tinder Clan. Her mentor was Sandpath, who died when he fell on a stone from the top of the canyon. She is thinking of having kits, though she doesn't know about any potential mates yet.
Family: Her parents, Berrystreak and Bushfire, are now elders. She doesn't have any littermates, though she wishes she had one. Her grandparents, Milo and Leah, were both loners who ran into the Inferno Clan shortly after the stories of Clans were starting to be told. Mossybranch loves her parents very much, but she can't find much time to spend time with them.

Appearance Details: His fur is rather filthy, but he likes it that way. He has a small nick in his ear and a scar on one of his hind legs. He's rather lean as well.
History: Raised as a rogue in kithood, but when he reached apprentice age, prey grew harder to find in the area where they had been living. His parents joined the Clan to keep themselves and their kit alive when prey was vanishing. The Clan managed to keep them sustained, so they never left.
Family: His mother, Roxy, died of blackcough right before she was to become an elder due to her deteriorating health. Shrewscar's father, Shred, is still alive, but has been very tired and dull since Roxy's death. Shrewscar doesn't like to think about his family, so he avoids his father, even though he really love him.

Appearance Details: Aspenstorm has soft features and large eyes that are filled with understanding. Her fur is a little long and her nose is red colored.
History: Aspenstorm was born as Dorothy in a small twoleg den on the reserve. She and her three littermates were the nieces and nephews of the loner who told Inferno Clan about the ways of the Clans. She found her way to Flare Clan and became a member of their clan. Some cats tease her about her origins, and she tries to stay caring and thoughtful.
Family: Her mother, Ruby, died of old age in her comfy twoleg den. One of Aspenstorm's littermates stayed a kittypet, but the rest are now Clan cats. Her mate is Jaggedleaf, and she is now pregnant with his kits. After kitting, she plans to simply help queens give birth and take care of kits until she is too old.
Clan: Flare Clan

Every full moon, the five clans meet at the Springplace. The Springplace is a hot spring in a valley at the center of the territories. Each leader sits/stands on a twoleg platform(bench) and announces the clan's happenings.

Appearance Details: Gingersplotch has very soft fur and slightly floppy ears.
History: Born as Ginger, she was littermates with Aspenstorm, Dusty, and Roseshimmer. She came to Glow Clan after Roseshimmer to find a new life. She left her twolegs only three moons ago.
Family: She loves her littermates, Roseshimmer especially, but she feels like their relationship isn't quite the way it used to be. Her mate is a kittypet, Don, so she also feels regret for leaving him, even though he said Clan life wasn't meant for him. Their first litter was Foxpaw, Blazepaw, and Dustpaw. she doesn't plan on giving birth again soon.

Appearance Details: Her face is more pointed than her littermates, and her tail is quite long. Her fur is medium length.
History: Roseshimmer was born as Rosy in a twoleg den with her three littermates. She, who despised kittypet life, ran away into the forest behind the den. She was nearly starving when the Glow Clan cats found her, but they took her in and eventually gained her trust. Since then, she has been living with the Clans, hoping to make a name for herself.
Family: She feels uncomfortable with her littermates, she feels more comfortable with the friends in her social circle, and considers them more of her family than her actual littermates. She doesn't have a mate, but she views the leader as a father figure.

Appearance Details: He has short fur and slightly small ears. He has a scar on his left hind leg and a nick in his left ear.
History: Rushstar is the son of a great warrior, Hailstrike. Hailstrike died in battle alongside his mate, Snowlion, who was just as great as a warrior as he was. He has one littermate, who chooses to live as a rogue. Her name is Courageheart, but she and other rogues call her Courage.
Family: Rushstar sees his deputy, Roseshimmer as a little sister, and cares about her well-being. However, he does worry about Courageheart, who chose the path of a rogue. He worries that if he leaves the clan to find his sister, another Clan will see it as weakness and attack his beloved Clan-mates.

Appearance: Clearpool has a lithe figure and a bob tail that was cut off by an incident having to do with boulders and a small landslide.
History: Her parents are both senior warriors and they spent their extra time teaching her more advanced moves when she was an apprentice. She now trains by herself when she has the time. She is eager to be the best she can be. Her mentor was Minnowleap.
Family: Her father is Minnowleap and her mother is Stoneshine. Clearpool has a very strong relationship with her parents, and loves them more than anything. Her two brothers died after birth.

History: His parents never taught him much and left both training and moral teaching to his mentor, Mintyside. Mintyside taught the rowdy tom apprentice all that she knew, but he continued to have a temper, though it wasn't as bad as it had been before. Minnowleap found that his best friend, Stoneshine, could ease that anger and give him love instead.
Family: Minnowleap loves his mate Stoneshine dearly, and knows that the two of them together can make sure their kit knows that they love her. Minnowleap gives Clearpool advice about emotions and controlling them. His littermates live in Char Clan and his parents are ^-^.

History: Her parents were former loners, but she and her sister were born in Glow Clan. Her sister and father died in a battle against Tinder Clan. She knew that Minnowleap's temper could be helped, and put in much of her free time to help him. She used to teach their daughter advanced battle moves to ensure her safety in battle.
Family: Her mother, Berrybird, is an elder, and she is rather confused by most things. Stoneshine has more time to spend time with her these days. Stoneshine loves her mate, but she doesn't understand why he doesn't think Berrybird is important. She loves her daughter very much, but she often fears for her, even though she knows she's very confident and independent.

Clearpool looked up at the tall oak in front of her, then gulped. She couldn't believe she had actually agreed to do this. She placed one paw on a large root, closed her eyes and braced herself.

With a shuddering breath, she opened her eyes and unsheathed her claws. She lifted her front paws up and leaned toward the tree's massive trunk. Heart flailing, she dug her claws into the moss coated bark and dragged her legs up below her.

Clearpool ripped her paws out of the wood and step by step, starting climbing the tree.

"Wow, she looks more like a squirrel every day!" Nettleears snickered from the gooseberry bushes nearby. "I didn't think she would actually climb it!"
