Conner couldn't help but stare at her. He noticed that she took a sip of her beverage and he tried to do the same. He moved his hand around the table trying to find the cup and when he did he almost knocked over. He took his eyes from Rose to the falling cup and he was able to catch it before anything spilt out. Conner smiled a bit embarrassed. He took a long sip then returned his gaze to Rose. He wasn't sure what to say. The moment felt wonderful. Rose's hand entwined with his, it made him feel warm, wanted, special, and needed. Conner didn't want the moment to become awkward for Rose so he randomly and spontaneously asked her a question. "What's on your mind at this very moment?"
