Blackfeather pounced into a bush and brought out a fat mouse. He dropped it at Thistlepaw's paws. "Hungry?"

Blackfeather sat down, watching her eat silently with a smile.

Blackfeather stared off at the field of wildflowers with a smile. "Beautiful sight," He meowed.

Blackfeather sat beside Thistlepaw. "So...what now?"

Oh, StarClan...lovely. It's a leader. And me and Thistlepaw are from different Clans...
"Hi, Flamestar," Blackfeather greeted the leader with a smile.

Blackfeather dipped his head in respect to Flamestar. He tried to hide the nervousness knotting his stomach up.

"It's fine. Kits are that way, huh?" Blackfeather shrugged.

Blackfeather sighed.

Blackfeather launched himself at the tom, snarling.

Blackfeather slaughtered the tom from underneath his belly and stood back to let Flamestar settle it.

Blackfeather wiped the blood away and walked over to Thistlepaw. "Daily workout," he joked.

"Hey, practice makes perfect!"

Blackfeather stared at the stars, wondering what StarClan had thought of this whole day.

You've thought about us, haven't you? A familiar mew made Blackfeather perk up. Dad? Nightwish's starry spirit appeared before his son's eyes. The massive cougar mix was smiling proudly upon Blackfeather. Ah?! You went to StarClan? They allowed me in, despite all the other touchy things I've done to deserve the Dark Forest.

Beware of danger, Blackfeather. Nightwish narrowed his deep blue eye at Thistlepaw and vanished. Blackfeather looked at the apprentice, wondering what his father had meant.

Blackfeather approached. "My dad just spoke to me."

"Not much. Only to warn me of danger and to point out he went to StarClan rather than the Dark Forest."

"You alright?" Blackfeather asked.

"Lucky to have a father?"

"...oh.." Blackfeather's eyes grew dark. "That's awful..."
