He dipped his head in apology. "Sorry, didn't mean to do that." He lifted his tail off her, gently sweeping it down her back before sitting and curling it tightly around his leg.

He felt his chest lurch. "Well, then that makes two of us." He forced a purr, scooting closer until his shoulder was brushing hers.

He gazed at her for a few more heartbeats, then licked her gently on the cheek and turned his head, slightly embarrassed. Summoning up all his courage, he leaned over and licked her chest.

He swung out a heavy paw and she fell away from the large Tom, gasping.
Kestrelflight leaped at he tom, snarling.

Dawn turned and glared at him, giving him a teasing shove. "We need to get those herbs back! she meowed, trying to sound stern. The friendly glint in her eyes betrayed her voice.

He chuckled. "Yeah.." He stood up. As he did, his back leg slipped. With a cry of alarm, he slipped into the rushing water. Sitting up, the water was to his chest. He lifted his head and coughed a few times.
