The pale tabby tom was crumpled on the ground. His furry cheeks were drying, but tears still glistened on his eyelashes.

DuskStar Stalked around camp. "Grrr! Theres absolutely NOTHING to do here!" She muttered angrily. She padded to the entrance of camp, and slipped out. DuskStar ran through the forest, dogging bramble walls, and thorn bushes. She burst into a small clearing and gasped, horrified.
-
There, in the clearing, was a dead wolf's body, but what was next to it made her choke. "SilverCloud!!!" She screamed. "No! Don't be dead!!!" -YOU HAVE A PROPHECY TO FULFILL!!!- She wanted to yowl to him- tell him about the prophecy. -No. You can't tell!- A little voice rang in her head, making her dizzy. DuskStar lay down pressing back into a bramble wall by mistake, and crashing through. The roar of water pounded in her ears, and her tortoiseshell fur was drenched. "Help-" She coughed, her voice cut short when she was driven underwater. DuskStar burst through to the top again to call help, but she was rammed into a sharp rock. All she saw after that was the blood in the water trailing behind her, then she went down and everything was black as she closed her amber eyes.
-
DuskHeart paced around the camp entrance. Her Tortoiseshell fur ruffled with the wind. Her amber eyes glowed in the sunlight. She swished her long tail, dragging it in the dust. Looking around, she casually slipped into the warriors' den, and sat near the whole leading into the camp clearing. She fluffed out her tortoiseshell fur, and washed it, with long, soothing strokes.
-
Katie leaped to her fence, and peered down into the next gardin. Her amber eyes grew wide, and her soft tortoiseshell fur fluffed out in alarm. "What happened?!?" She asked, jumping down off the fence, and landing lightly on her paws.
-
"Just what i said!" She snorted. "Your bleeding, and battered. Are you ok?" She meowed, her scorn turning to concern.
-
DuskStar did not breath at all. She was in StarClan. "DuskStar!" A meow of joy rang around the starry clearing. "Huh? Who's there?" She called. She heard a rustling in the glowing bushes, and someone she thought she had lost forever, leapt out at her, barreling her over. "DimLight!" She mewed with happiness. "DuskStar, you have lost your first life. You have eight left now." DuskStar's dead mate DimLight told her. "Ok," She said. "Return to SilverCloud. He's waiting." "Goodbye DimLight." DuskStar meowed. She disappeared.
DuskStar stirred. She opened one eye, to see SilverCloud standing over her. -
" Ok. Glad to hear your ok." She meowed, flashing him a friendly smile, reviling a row of sharp pearly white teeth
-
SomberCoat looked up. "Ok, what is it!" he meowed, opening his eyes. They were still glazed over, and SomberCoat letout a shreik of yerror. "I CAN'T SEE!!!" he wailed. "HELP!!!" he blinked his glazed eyes over and over again, but it was no use. SomberCoat was blinded by grief for his sister.
-
"Cool. I like to hunt too." she meowed
-
"Yes," she meowed. "Remember I'm new to being a leader, so I still have 8 lives left" she reminded him.
-
SomberCoat nodded confidently. "I'll try. Should I tell the clan that DuskHeart was killed?" he asked.
-
"Ok" he meowed. He stumbled to his paws, and with his nose to the ground, he picked up the scent and dashed toward camp.
-
"Oh. By the way, my name is Katie. What's yours?" she meowed.
-
"Ok, cool." She went on. "I haven't seen you around here. Where are you from?"
-
DuskStar pushed herself to her paws. She tried to walk, but instead, when she stood on her front right paw, she collapsed, gasping. Her paw was twisted. "Great! Now how will I get back?" She muttered, glaring. She dug her claws into the grass, and heaved herself up again. She pulled her claws out of the earth, digging up tufts of dirt. Keeping her claws unsheathed, DuskStar stalked on three legs back to camp. She tripped over a root, and fell on her face. Her amber eyes narrowed in hostility. She tried to get up, but she couldn't. Her twisted paw was caught under a stiff root. "Grr!" She growled. Her tortoiseshell fur fluffed up in outrage. She struggled, but she just couldn't get out. DuskStar lay there in the tangle of roots.
-
"Your a forest cat? My friend turned into a forest cat! His name was Rusty." She sighed. "I miss him." Shrugging, she meowed, "Oh well. At least he's happy with his new home."
-
DuskHeart sat a few tail lengths away, washing her long tortoiseshell fur. She swished her long tail, and her amber eyes gleamed, when she moved her head. Every few heartbeats she would throw a swift glance at Jasper while grooming.
-
DuskHeart continued to lick her ruffled fur until it was soft and shiny.
-
"Yes. At least I think thats his forest cat name. I'm not sure. But thats what my brother, Smudge told me." She meowed.
