Arrogant;
Sophus is quite the arrogant old wolf. He believes that he is never, and never will be, wrong. Which, honestly, he rarely is. He never takes anybody else's advice, and when he is in an argument, even if he knows he is wrong, he will fight to prove himself.

Wise;
Sophus's name literally means, "wise old sage". His mind is like a hundred tiny gears, working and turning to fix every problem, every "come-up", so to speak. His incredible smarts make it possible for him to be a healer.

There are strays everywhere. They surround us, their miserable lives showing through their, big sad gazes, their spines sticking through their skin, their ribs poking through their matted hair and scarred skin. Their lives drag on, but it's not living. Though, one day, not too long ago, one mangy mutt decided to change things. To break the boundaries. He called himself, Summis, meaning "supreme". He created a Pack of mutts and strays, taking his place as Alpha Male. They hunt, fight, and live in unity, thriving.

Trash Pile~Old mattresses, pillows, and sheets serve as nests. Alphas sleep on the softest mattress on the top of the trash pile. Mothers and pups do not nest in the Trash Pile because of the threat of rats-a food source and enemy.

Simmus woke to the sound of birds. It was hot, very hot, and the garbage heap smelled something awful. Simmus hopped off of his mattress to the bottom of the junk pile, sniffing the morning air. He looked around, deciding to wake Abigail. "Abigail," he said, "psst, Abigail, could you go hunting, please? Of course, after you wake up and all. Be sure to take Hera with you, and either your brother or Corona to make sure that you and Hera are safe. I heard some grunts coming from skull woods last night."

Simmus rolled his eyes. "Just take Hera and Arthur and go hunting. Be careful; make sure Arthur is alert at all times." With that, Simmus walked off, climbing up to the top of the trash heap once again.

Hera came bounding from her dingy old pillow. "Good morning!" she braked, wagging her tail. She looked at Arthur and blushed a little. "Hey Arthur..." she said shyly.

Simmus nodded back, letting out one huge yawn after that. He leaped down to get a drink out of one of the many old dog bowls that they lay out to catch rain.

Hera looked across camp at Christmas. Hera knew, or thought, that Christmas had a crush on Arthur, and she narrowed her eyes into a glare, as if saying, he's mine! She then turned her attention to Mazaska, and sighed. "No, sorry dear. It's too dangerous. I'm sorry, I truly am. Summis thinks there are wolves in Skull Forest.

Let's mix this up a bit.

Simmus pricked one ear. He stood, panicked. "Rats! rats! Alfie! Take Mazaska to the Mother Hut immediately! Everyone else, ready positions! A whole group of rats came pouring out of one trash heap, their small brown bodies hurling themselves at the dogs.

Simmus yelped in surprise as a rat, a considerably large one, jumped on his back, biting him. Simmus growled, recovered, and bit the beady-eyed creature on its neck, killing it. He sighed as the other rats attacked him, trying to defend himself. He saw one rat slip into the Mother Hut, followed by two more. Alfie and Mazaska! he thought, racing over to protect them.

Simmus fought through at least ten more rats before becoming utterly exhausted. e saw one rat, the biggest of them all, rise up and squeak. All the rats stopped, and fell back. Simmus collapsed, panting. He had bite marks all over him.

"I'm okay," he said reassuringly. He heaved himself up and scanned the battlefield. Dead rats lay everywhere, their somewhat-delicious scent wafting up into the hot air. Anything edible smelled delicious to Simmus. He was starved. "Everyone, grab a rat or two and eat. we need to regain our strength," he barked, making sure everyone was okay. We need a healer badly, he thought.
