"Okay, thanks!" she pads to the fresh-kill pile, and picks out a thin mouse. Obviously, she is still self conscious about not catching her own prey. But again she reminds herself of all the soon-to-be moments when she heals a cat with her skillful herb knowledge. Besides, she'd save the bigger pieces for the ones who truly needed it; Nightstar, Mintfrost, and the other warriors.

It is growing dark. Exhausted, Snowpaw curls up in a patch of grass under a willow tree. She closes her eyes and in an instant, darkness washes over her. When she opens her eyes, she can see. Another dream? She assumed. Snowpaw waited but nothing happened. She was in a meadow bathed in moonlight. Do I smell rival clans? In an instant, an unseen enemy tackles her. The moon bathed meadow vanishes. Instead it is replaced with a flash of red, and then darkness.
Snowpaw wakes up, gasping for breath. It was almost as if..it were real. But she felt no scratches. Still trembling, she checked the air. It was usual scents, so she breathed a sigh of relief. It was a nightmare. she told herself. what kind of cats starclan would be if they hadn't interfered if it WAS real!
-
"Eek!" Snowpaw still hadn't recovered from her dream. Checking the scent, she realized it was Duskpaw. Embarrassed, she meowed, "Oh, hello, Duskpaw. Sorry, just had a nightmare. Sure, let's go!"
-
Snowpaw smiled. "Okay!" as fast as she could, Snowpaw bolted away, dodging trees whenever she sensed them. Occasionally she bumped into one or two, but she was pretty fast...for a blind medicine cat!
-
OOC: lol yes. :)
Snowpaw skirted to a stop by the river. She could tell because of the soft current noises and the smell of water. "I wonder where Darktalon is." she murmured, "I haven't seen her all day."
-
"That's odd..." Snowpaw tastes the air. "I smell a Nightclan cat, but can't make out who it is."
-
"Oh really?" She smiles. "Think I can't hear ya, don't you, Leafkit?" Snowpaw uncovers Leafkit's hiding place. "What are you doing out here?"
-
Snowpaw stiffled a mrrow of laughter. But her eyes were serious. "Leafkit, what would happen if you were out here, alone, and a fox, a badger, a rogue, or a rival Clan cat attacked you?" She shakes her head, trying to clear what could have been. "I'm afraid however bored you are in camp, I have to take you back. And you cannot leave camp until you are an apprentice." She turns to look at Duskpaw. "Come on, Duskpaw, we have to get Leafkit back to camp."
-
"I trust your word, Leafkit, but you seriously don't know what's out there." She began to lead Leafkit back to camp.
-
She stiffled a purr at Leafkit's curiosity. Snowpaw almost wished she could have been the same, but what is there for Snowpaw to see?
-
"Alright, Leafkit." Snowpaw had lead her into the entrance to the camp, "I want you to stay here, no matter how fun the forest may look. You'll get your turn eventually."
-
"Black tom?" Snowpaw echoed in confusion.
OOC: Bye. And I have to go too. 'Night.
-
Leaving Leafkit, Snowpaw yawned and stretched. It was after dawn, and she didn't get much sleep, but she had a fun time with Duskpaw and Leafkit. As much as she liked having the little kit's company, Snowpaw knew she couldn't have something awful happen to the kit.
-
Hearing commotion from Mintfrost's den, Snowpaw pads inside. She scents Sparrowkit, too, and hears the kit coughing. "Oh poor thing." Snowpaw mews. Then to her mentor, "Anything I can do for you, Mintfrost?"
-
OOC: Gotta go. Sorry
Should we just say I got you some tansy? -
"Er, yes, of course, Duskpaw." (Sorry I was gone for a while.) "Lead the way." Snowpaw blinks in confusion but agreed to go.
-
"Duskpaw." Snowpaw's tone was warm and grateful, "I have only had one other cat offer something that gracious before. I appreciate it. However, I have chosen the path of a medicine cat, and, believe me, I have not regretted it once. Medicine cats protect the Clan from the dangers of injuries. I finally realized that they don't need to hunt or fight." She added quickly, "But thanks for the offer!"
-
Snowpaw yawned and stretched. She wanted to please her mentor, but she could tell that it was dark. However, she padded out, looking for herbs. Low on tansy, and while I'm there I'd better find some catmint, and maybe even yarrow.... She grew more weary as she padded by the river. Next to her, she was looking out into a moonlit meadow. Of course, she didn't know though. She had found yarrow, tansy, and catmint. As she investigated more, she found a hidden yew bush. "Where have I encountered these before?" She sniffed a red berry. It had a sharp scent, and memories flooded back to her. "What is this used for? Brightspirit taught me everything but this."
-
OOC: Sorry guys, my internet's been out for, like, 6 hours.
Meanwhile, Snowpaw looked around for new herbs. She'd leave the yew bush alone for now. You know, while I'm out here, I could..get some feverfew and.. she sighed. Something was bugging her. She felt as if the whole Clan were growing sick. Snowpaw looked down at her collected herbs; Catmint and yarrow. She rolled both up in a beech leaf and went to find feverfew.
After a few minutes, she had catmint, yarrow, feverfew, and juniper berries, rolled up into a couple beech leaves. Now with the herb collecting task out of the way, she could investigate that yew bush. Maybe it will cure something! I mean, I have smelled it before. She thought as she picked a deathberry. The flesh did nothing, but she accidentally swallowed a seed...
-
Snowpaw's throat was tight with pain, and she was choking and sputtering. Not a healing herb! Not a healing herb!!! she thought. She fell onto the ground and saw a flash of red through her unseeing eyes, then black once more. She needed to get the poison out of her throat.
Desperately, Snowpaw grabbed the yarrow with all the strength she had left, thrust it into her mouth, and puked the poison up. She felt the seed emerge and fall onto the ground, and felt a sigh of relief, but she collasped, and fell into unconsciousness.
