Hau didn't seem quite as impressed, though that was because he'd seen Illima battle before. He just kept his usual cheerful grin on his face "What's wrong with you today Gladion?" He asked, poking him "You're even grumpier than usual"

He raised an eyebrow but shrugged and chose not to say anything and instead nodded and turned back to Illima, knowing that Gladion wouldn't appreciate him pushing to tell him when he was clearly lying

I'd definitely love that

He nodded "I'd be up for it" He said cheerfully and grinned at Gladion "Afraid you'll lose to me?" He teased in a sing song voice, almost baiting Gladion into battling him. He batted his eyelashes with a grin

He pretended to look offended though he failed at doing so “I hope you’ve gotten better” He retorted and threw a wink in, hoping to throw him off to have the upper hand before the battle even started, though he had no idea just how it would distract Gladion

Hau considered the matchup for a moment, looking down at his pokeballs, opting for his Crabominable rather than his starter or signature Raichu, it wasn’t like he wanted to get beat

OOC: My phone just autocorrected Hau to gay and I couldn’t stop laughing for a few moments

He just grinned “I do learn things occasionally” He hummed “Use power up punch” He said as his Crabominable barely missed dodging the attack

“Dodge And use power up punch again” Hau told his Pokemon though Crabominable’s speed was working against him when up against a quicker opponent

"Keep hitting Silvally" Hau ordered as Crabominable tried to locate Silvally but only managed to notice the Pokemon when it was too late, still managing to get in a last minute hit in before he fell

Crabominable looked to be doing fine and Hau was jumping up and down in victory, having finally beat Gladion, before the crab pokemon fell to the ground, fainted. The hits were too much "You're good" He complimented, calling his pokemon back to his pokeball

He blinked in surprise at the unexpected compliment and a light pink colour began to show faintly on his cheeks "I've been training hard" He shrugged

He shook his hand with a smile “We should battle more often” He added

“Why the nervousness? Afraid to get beat?” He teased him with a wink before smiling brightly and nodding “Definitely”

He couldn't help but poke his pout, chuckling "Such a child" He said. For lunch Hau had, what else other than Malasadas. His favourite food

Hau wasn't intentionally ignoring Gladion, he thought he just preferred silence. He looked at Gladion, chuckling when he saw how grump he was, though he didn't know why. He had no idea of the jealousy that he was feeling, after all what reason did he have to be jealous

"What's wrong?" Hau asked him once he looked over at Gladion. He hoped he didn't assume that his chuckle was a bad thing, anyone who knew Hau at all knew he was a fan of teasing but he was never mean about it, he was just so cheerful and easy going

"You sure?" He checked, placing a hand on his arm without thinking about it

He studied him intently for a while before nodding and going back to finishing his malasada after removing his hand

He raised an eyebrow but didn't comment on it, just shrugged "Same as usual. Battling and training mostly. What about you?"
