IC INTRODUCTION — Greetings, weary traveler. It seems you’ve wandered onto the territory of the Sanguine Ruins. We don’t tolerate trespassing, so I certainly hope you intend on staying. Despite the rumble in your stomach and the dryness that coats the back of your throat, our climate is rather cold, and sharing with outsiders isn’t in our nature. Known as a large and fast-paced group, this anti-clan is ruthless and unpredictable. If you’re here to join, then fret no more, shake some sand from your paws, and take a seat so I can share with you the secrets of the Sanguine Ruins. Disregard the bones scattered along the land, as torture and murder are hobbies practiced here. Don’t let it linger in your thoughts. We are Ruiners - what did you expect?

    territory

The southern half of the Waterway is where Ivoria has grown its roots. Within that territory lie many important landmarks. The most distinct every member would know about are the stone whales, twisting oak forest, crystal cave, and glass prison.

    Stone Whales

This is the heart of Ivoria, located on a large stretch of moss one can see for miles four giant stone whales. They're oversized versions of what look to be orcas, mouths permanently open, gaping wide and beckoning. Three are made of pure white stone, eerily similar to the white obelisk found atop the floating archipelago. These three have partitions made of thin, impenetrable stone, that create different rooms members can claim as their own for their den. The three whales and their rooms are fair game to anyone. The fourth stone whale is a deep, dark cobalt blue. The blue one has no partitions within, only a ledge that lines the outer wall of the whale. This is where meetings are held, as nearly everyone is able to fit within the giant stone beast. They all glow with their respective colors, dimming to almost nothing at night and glittering brightly during the day. The light is soft and painless to the eyes, and no one knows its source. The Malbrisans believe them to be imbued with great magic and believe sleeping within them allows them to absorb some of the power.

    Twisting Forest

North of the stone whales lies a small grove of twirling oak trees. These trees are similar to regular oaks, except they thrive in extremely wet environments and nowhere else. Their trunks aren’t dense, and their branches and trunks swirl in loops as they twist through the sky and even intertwine with one another. Despite their low density, the trees are hardy and strong. It is suspected that the entire grove is one tree twisting in and out of the water. The leaves that grow on this tree are a bright vibrant red and can be seen for miles. This forest is a bountiful source of food for those who prefer land cuisine over aquatic prey.

    Crystal Cave

Its entrance is on the side of a hill in the Waterway, right in the middle of the Twisting Forest. The entrance is only big enough to allow about one grizzly bear-sized creature in at a time, it quickly opens up into a room big enough to house twenty grizzly bears. The ceilings reach about twenty feet high. The walls are packed with sharp crystalline structures of varying colors. The floor is a smooth white stone identical to the white stone whales, oddly free of dirt and dust. Being in the Waterway, all around the cave behind the crystals is water instead of dirt. Rivers rush constantly around outside of the cave, causing the crystals to burst into a whirlwind of colors that dance vibrantly off of the white stone floor and dazzle anyone who enters. Occasionally one can find broken crystal chunks laying on the floor. They're usually quite sharp, so if someone wants to take it with them, they must be careful not to cut themselves. Battle royales are often held here, as the idea of fighting surrounded by such strong magic is empowering and is thought to give strength. If someone wishes to speak to Dherog or Kiami, they can seek them out by sleeping in the cave as well - if they can manage to fall asleep amid the swirling colors.

    Glass Prison

The glass prison can be found on the same stretch of land as the stone whales. The entrance looks like a deep hole, with small ledges on the sides. Members must be nimble and strong to traverse in and out of the cave. Once inside, the hole opens up into a large cavern filled with stalactites and stalagmites that reach from the ceilings and floors like bars of a prison. Using earth elementals and fire elementals, members shaped the glass cave into the prison it is today. Cells with bars of glass, they are nearly unbreakable now that they have formed. The glass seems to hold some magical property based on it’s materials, giving it strength beyond that of normal glass. There is a special, large cell near the front that is much more luxurious than the others, and it is used for the captured children. Children are treated better than other captured creatures, as the aim for children is always to acclimate them and have them join Ivoria once they are of age to attempt a trial.

    traditions

KIAMI - Kiami is an incredibly old god that was heavily praised in old Boneclan. They were believed to live beneath Boneclan and provided life to the tree's. Later they were depicted as a female lioness that required sacrifices but she was soon killed for her murderous misgivings. Some still believe she lives to this day and oftentimes during battle the Reaper will wear a white-cloak to mimic the lionesses' blindingly white pelt.

Upon her great resurrection and return of her spirit to BoneClan, she reclaimed her role as protector so long as she was worshipped. Naming herself to be an agent of Dherog, Kiami has promised great power to those who follow in her words. She claims she can draw from the great power of the land, so long as she has a source, and transfer it to worthy members. The territory of Ivoria provides great loci of power with the glass prison, magic rivers, and dazzling crystal cave.

PLAYGROUND DAY - BoneClanners were notorious for snatching children from enemy groups in the night. The original position of bandit was to rack up as many kits as they could handle, earning them a higher rank in the group. While children are once again open for capture, they are treated civilly, and BoneClan’s original “Playground Day” has been transformed into one where the unmarked of the group, both captured and native, are celebrated. The aim of this day is to help get them ready for when they take their trial, as well as help acclimate the captured children into Ivoria. This is done through different contests such as sparring and scavenger hunts, and feasts are also a staple of this day.

BONE JEWELRY - Stemming from the early days of BoneClan, Ivorians have altered this tradition slightly to fit with their current culture. At the discretion of the captor, prisoners are either killed or relieved of one of their limbs, where it is buried or thrown to the piranhas in the waterway. There, the bones are striped clean, and then go through a special sterilization ritual that only the Bonesaw and Bonesaw apprentice know how to do. Once sterilized, they are created into jewelry, or pulverized and used for medicine. The jewelry is used as tokens of power. Occasionally teeth and claws are used in lieu of bones, and are also considered powerful artifacts taken from enemies. These items are occasionally given to allies as signs of good faith, or as thanks for a good deed done.

Bodies of deceased members may also have their bones harvested in a similar, but much more considerate, manner. The closest family member gets to decide if and how the bones are utilized.

BONE CROWN - The bone crown is a special type of bone jewelry, made of bones harvested from previous leaders killed while Reaper of BoneClan. Ivorians continue this tradition and carefully maintain the crown, keeping it away from the wet environment in which they live in order to preserve it. They are worn during special events and ceremonies, and it is a very treasured possession of the group.

    history

Ivoria’s history is a long one, stemming from their previous name of BoneClan, this group upholds and echoes traditions of long ago.

    BoneClan - Ivoria

This clan was created by Hydra in the year 2011, on the 31st of December. The group split from the Skull after Fortis sent a message to Hydra stating that he was destined to lead this new Clan. Hysteria, a later leader, worked to shape up the clan underneath its name at that time, Boneclan. During Hazeleyes's reign in 2013, she changed the name of the clan to Cryptclan, moving us to a graveyard underneath which lived the god that had struck up the monotheistic beliefs at the time, Kiami, and promoting cannibalism amongst the ranks, although enforcement of the practice ended with her time on the throne. This brought forth a new reign -- the reign of Copperexplosion and Contemporary. In April of 2014, Aaron came up with new 1800s-English-navy-inspired rankings as he took the throne in Contemporary's place and moved the clan onto an abandoned cruise ship. The two Leaders at the time: Aaron & Copperexplosion killed Kiami, her soul then split into two and entered them. Aaron then changed the religion to the Greek Gods, mainly Hades, Athena and Apollo. Suggested by a Physician known as Andromeda, CryptClan becomes The Insignia. After a long reign, Aaron stepped down, handing control of the Clan to Orange Lily. Her reign, though, was cut short by a sudden gruesome death, however, her legacy remains.

Just before Lily's passing, the Clan was handed over to Charlotte. In this time, the cruise liner was bombed, forcing them to move to an abandoned train station, where the clan lived as a mafia. After a short time, Charlotte stepped down and the Clan was given to Luciano, who stepped down and promoted Katy in his place. She changed the ranks into a medieval style and moved them into a city she proclaimed "Queen's Landing." At the demotion of Queen Katy after many moons of her rule, Thalia was promoted in her place, and changed up the ranks to better suit the clan's medieval theme. However after the deities sent dragons and natural disasters to destroy their island, Thalia moved the clan back to the cruise liner and changed the name back to the Insignia, through and through giving back the clan its rich military heritage. Once Thalia stepped down, Leon was promoted in her place. He was demoted quickly after though, and Gabriel stepped up. However, after Gabriel changed his name to Loki and took off from the clan, Barghest was appointed leader and immediately changed the Insignia back to its old title of Boneclan, making it official on August 22, 2015. After Barghest's disappearance, Christian was promoted in his place, and he led without changing BoneClan's identity. He was demoted, and Dorian took his place as Reaper. Dorian led Boneclan valiantly and strong, even during the spider invasion.

Soon he stepped down leaving Tauriel as the new Reaper. Tauriel's reign had been prosperous and well led but came to a very quick stop when the leader felt it time to step down and in her resignation Tauriel promoted Alejandro to Reaper and left him behind the task to change Boneclan’s ways. Over a time Alejandro changed Boneclan’s theme to suit their future home, Leader turned to Tsar the minute the ranks changed to Russian counterparts. After the change Alejandro soon promoted a second leader beside him named RJ MacCready. Overtime, Alejandro’s appearance around the clan got less and less frequent until he had disappeared altogether, leaving MacCready as the only Leader. A few months into MacCready’s solo Leadership, as activity had started to decline, he gathered the high positions to brainstorm ideas, eventually leading to the conclusion that they would change the names back to something more traditional. They had also decided to touch back to Boneclan’s roots, and thus the Leader became the Reaper again. MacCready stepped down, afraid of disappointing the clan and needing a break from the responsibilities of leadership. Pishacha Stormus replaced him, leading the clan well until his death a couple of months later. He attempted to secure Osiris's patronage over Boneclan again, but the god demanded his life as a sacrifice. He left behind a message handing over the leadership of the clan to one of his deputies, Reyna Deerling. Shortly after Reyna’s reign, Feliks took her place but only reigned briefly. The Endgame of 2017 put Boneclan to a permanent rest.

Until it’s revival in September of 2019. A group of descendants followed a trail of messages left behind by Aristotle and Sekoia. Enticing them to find just where Boneclan was and how it even began. Eventually they found the graveyard where Sekoia and Aristotle awaited their presence. There the group of descendants spoke of grand things, memories, ideas and hope to revive Boneclan to its former glory. After months of progress, Ari vanished and was never seen again. This left Sekoia the sole leader, trying to keep everything together in a group still struggling to make its return. The leader eventually fell extremely ill, requesting that Neuhaus take over while resting on his deathbed. Neuhaus did his best to keep Boneclan going but was met with many struggles, eventually passing the torch to Evadne.

saving some lyrics for later, since i change everything so often.

    evadne :

lana del rey songs often fit her well

    — "church basement romances"

    — "they write that i'm happy, they know that i'm not, but at best you can see i'm not sad"

    — "there's a new revolution, a loud evolution that i saw. born of confusion and quiet collusion of which mostly i've known"

    — "ice cream, ice queen, i dream in jeans and leather"

    elian :

    strong lyrics from alternative genres

    — "woke up in the morning feeling cynical, typical. frontin' about my day and feeling criminal, habitual"

    — need more whoops, i prolly change elian the least often tbh

    iokua :

weighted lyrics, atmosphere + 5fdp fits him sometimes

—"once upon a time i swore had a heart, long before the world i knew, tore it all apart"

—"even though he was too young to hunt and gather, hungry puppy had to learn how to front and swagger"

—"in the end, we're all just chalk lines on the concrete. drawn only to be washed away."

—"it's building up inside of me, a place so dark, so cold. I had to set me free, don't mourn for me."

ahh i love retro! i love that she's so lighthearted and friendly but she also has a serious side and inner struggles to her, it makes her a bit complex and mysterious. i love the dynamic between speedfreak and retro, they are a perfect match! she's rebellious enough to indulge in his bad behaviors with him but also prevents those same behaviors from escalating. she keeps the boy in line and reading retro's reactions to him is really funny and sweet. she's a great character and it's fun to see how much she's changed and become more developed over just the past few months. < 3

i think it would be a little bit different? i believe the kitsune x fox worked because a kitsune was just a fox with multiple tails but still the same species, whereas a lupurca is more of its own, giant species? i would imagine lupurca x canine would be more similar to a wildcat x wildcat hybridizing type thing? although since wolf-dogs are not technically considered a hybrid and are fertile themselves, i could be completely wrong here.

so.. basically track post haha c:

hello, welcome back! did you happen to play lockdown in the exiles for a bit? i swear your username seems really familiar!

i know nothing about the traditional aspect of the site but in terms of recommendations, i would second volary flights because they've been very friendly every time i've brought characters there! if you're looking for something more anti-leaning though, i would suggest the brigade or ivoria (backboard clan). i'm probably a little biased with ivoria but i've really been enjoying the different character personalities there! c:

some summer stuff would definitely be nice even though it's a little early but!

-- most likely to forget about sunblock

-- most likely to obsess about sunblock

-- most likely to have the coolest/most expensive sunglasses

-- most likely to get too drunk while camping

-- most likely to get lost while hiking

hey welcome back!! i don't know who you plan to bring back but let me know if you're interested in any plots or threads with anyone! c:
