Splat stretched and yawned. It was early morning and she was curled next to her mother and other litter mates. She blinked her green eyes at the sun out of the den. Peering out of the den she saw the other Dark Wing members. Splat couldn't help but knead the ground with her tiny sharp claws. Excitement sent a shiver down her spine causing her tail to fluff out as if she were electrocuted. Purring deep in her chest she watched the other members working about, but she dared not step foot out of the den without her mother. It was not safe for her so young to venture off on her own not matter how bad she wanted to. Splat continued to knead the ground and purr with content and excitement.

She is a fairly good hunter, she has good hunting positions and is fast but tends to slip on her paws, often times that causes her to loose her catch or just look very clumsy. Nettlefrost would love to learn more about medicine and healing if she could. The world of StarClan fascinates her, sometimes she spends too much time staring up at the night sky. Thinking of being in battle secretly frightens her, she doesn't think she is ready yet with my battle moves, but does not want anyone to know that she might not be ready for battling, because they would think her weak. Nettlefrost blinked her eyes open, sun was streaming threw the WindClan warriors den. There was one other cat still asleep soundly in the corner but everybody was already out and on their duties. Despite the sun coming threw the den Nettlefrost felt stiff with cold. Trying to go back to sleep was not an option so she new that she had to get up and see if there was anything to do. Shaking the sleep out of her head she sat up and gave herself a quick lick as she ran her paws over her ears and whiskers. With an exaggerated stretch and yawn she blinked threw the sun as she peeked out of the den. The camp was frozen with frost, no snow yet but there was soon to be. Nettlefrost padded her way over to the freshkill pile and nodded to the cats chatting around it. Nettlefrost picked around with her nose and chose a decent sized rabbit out of the pile and began to dig in. She laid there engrossed in her meal and savoring as she licked her mouth.

Name:NettlePaw (NettleFrost)
Description:Tall, slim grey and white she cat with grey eyes, four white paws, a white belly, and a white patch over her right eye.
Personality: She likes to play, and is very curious about what goes on around her. A little bouncy and a little unsure footed, Nettlefrost likes to learn the ways of the clan and is ever curious about starclan. She is loyal and dedicated to Windclan although thinking of being a full fledged warrior sometimes scares her and gives her anxieties about herself. Stalking prey is probably one of her most favorite things to do even more then actually killing the prey.
Rank: Apprentice
Crush/Mate: None -
Nettlepaw laid in the middle of camp, the sign was out making the rock radiate with warmth. She purred silently to herself, soon the patrol would be back and she would have a nice juicy fat rabbit to eat. Well not before feeding the elders, she twitched her whiskers while she thought. "What would it be like to be clan leader? I would take the juiciest fattest rabbit there was!" Nettlepaw purred with excitement. " I will catch the biggest rabbit today" Nettlepaw scrunched up her face as she crouched down with her hindquarters in the air, moving them back and forth with her tail twitching.
-
Nettlefrost bounced around on her own, she had just gotten back from a boarder patrol and decided to go back out again to exercise. The wind ruffled her fur as she bounced along the moor. The snow had not covered the ground yet but the mornings were getting colder and the nights were getting longer. Nettlefrost took a deep breath of the cold air and continued padding along silently. A small rustling caught Nettlefrost's attention, pricking her ears she stopped to listen. The rustling continued, crouching down in the hunters crouch she began to creep along on just barley letting her belly fur touch the grass. Stepping lightly she spotted a rabbit a two fox lengths a head. Creeping slowly step by step she waited for the wind to stop blowing before bursting out of the grass, shocked the rabbit took off but Nettlefrost reached out with her paws and swiftly knocked it off its feet. The rabbit tumbled and Nettlefrost was on top of it and killed it with a swift bite to the neck. Feeling proud of herself she purred as she buried it to take back to camp later. Just as quickly as she felt good, it began to drizzle. "Drat" she spat out. Nettlefrost was just about to unbury her catch when a small sound caught her attention. Immediately she got back down into the hunters crouch. As she crept forward the sound grew louder, it sounded like a wailing sound, a sharp cry of a kit. Thats strange, Nettlefrost cocked her head to the side as she stood up. The wailing continued and the rain grew harder and more steady. Nettlefrost new that if there was a kit out there that it would die from cold or drown. Opening her mouth to drink in the scent she followed it and instantly picked up another cat with it. Why would a mother be out with her kit in the rain? Nettlefrost continued following the scent until she came upon a fallen tree, stepping lightly around the tree she saw a lump of dark fur laying slumped against the tree. She stepped back in shock, the cats eyes were wide open but staring at nothing. Blood soaked the fur of the dark she cat, and a small kit clung to her side, small and wailing. Instantly she nuzzled the kit and began licking it to warm it up. "Hush" she purred trying to call the tiny thing down. Nettlefrost new she had to take this cat back to camp if it were going to survive but she couldn't let this cat just lay here like that. Quickly she dug a small hole and dragged the she cats body into it. Burying it quickly she sent a small prayer up to starclan and picked up the wailing kit in her mouth. Nettlefrost crept back into camp, cats were sharing tongues in the clearing some looked up. One of the cats instantly stood when they saw something hanging limp from her mouth. "Dang" she had forgotten the rabbit. Oh well this kits safety was more important. Nettlefrost set the kit down in front of her sheltering the kit with her body. "What is that?" A dark tabby tom came padding up to her. "I found this kit up on the moor, its mother was dead." Hushed alarm ran threw the camp. "Well what are we going to do?" A she cat asked. "Well we can keep it, maybe one of the queens can take it in or I can?" Everyone stared at Nettlefrost, she was still young, barley a warrior and not the best at that either.
-
Nettlepaw's head popped up and she lept down from the rock padding up slowly to sit next to the others. She kneaded the ground tenderly, waiting to hear what the meeting was about.
-
Nettlepaw purred, it was good to have another apprentice, Rosepaw was lucky to have the leader as her mentor, she was sure to learn many things. Nettlepaw feeling bored went over to the freshkill pile and decided to grab a fat rabbit for the elders, perhaps if she brought them something, she would get a story. Nettlepaw padded up quietly to the elders den as the rabbit dangled from her jaws, she muffled a hello.
-
Nettlepaw placed down her rabbit next to the vole, "Im Nettlepaw, welcome to the apprentices den" Nettlepaw purred with excitment, "now I dont have to share the apprentice jobs by myself now". Nettlepaw nudged the rabbit with her paw, "I was just taking this to the elders too see if they were hungry, and maybe to hear a story".
-
"Sure" Nettlepaw purred to Rosepaw, happy for the company. "I just need to bring the elders prey and search for any ticks, but I doubt there should be any since its getting chilly." Nettlepaw picked up the fat rabbit and brushed threw the branches into the elders den.
-
Nettlefrost was happy that windclan was so willing to let the stray kit stay. She was shocked when lilypaw declared she wanted to care for him. Lilypaws eyes were pleading, this was no job for a young cat though. Nettlepaw followed Brambleclaw as he picked up the kit from her shelter and took him into the nursery. Nettlepaw squeezed herself into the nursery where everyone was crowding around the kit. Crouching down low over the kit she began to groom him as she purred.
-
"Breezepaw, could you please bring me a piece of freshkill?" Nettlepaw continued grooming him then went back to breezepaw, "I wanna see if he can eat something, he seems old enough, he must be starving".
-
Nettlepaw shook with excitement, finally she was going to get a mentor, she stood upon hearing her mentors name. Facing her mentor she dipped her head and touched noses to Rainfire.
-
Nettlepaw bounced with excitement, she was going to be able to go on her first hunt with the leader of windclan! Nettlepaw stretched out her neck trying to look dignified but feeling kind of dumb. She relaxed a bit but kneaded the ground a little bit pulling up some grass. "Im ready".
-
Nettlepaw agreed that the kit need warmth and sleep first, but she could her his tiny stomach growling. Biting a small piece off the mouse she nudged it towards the kit to try and coax it to eat. "Here" she picked up the small kit and laid it next to the queens belly and picked up the morsal of mouse to place next to the kit. "Keep him safe". Nettlepaw dipped her head to the queen and gave the small kit a quick lick before backing out of the queens den.
Brokenwhisker was an old queen, quite scruffy and larger then most of her windclan mates. She was kind but also sort of harsh, but most of all her passion was caring for the kits. She was more like a grandelder to the kits. One more kit to look after wouldnt hurt a fly so she allowed the kit to nuzzle him self into her dark grey tabby fur. Brokenwhisker wrapped her tail around him to stop him from shaking and to keep the wind out of the den. He would eat in time.
-
Nettlepaw stepped out of the queens den and sighed, she was glad that the kit was going to be safe and accepted. She padded over to the freshkill pile and picked up her own small rabbit and began to devour it, she had forgotten how hungry she was because she was so concerned for the kit. She would make note to check on him before it was time to go to bed. She wished she could care for the kit more, but a more experienced queen was surely the best. Nettlepaw sighed again.
-
Nettlepaw purred with happiness and rubbed her head against Brambleclaw, "thank you " she whispered. Nettlepaw turned to breezepaw and flicked him playfully with her tail. She was glad everyone was being supportive. Soon she was going to check on the kit to see if he was comfortable before she went to bed. Nettlepaw gulped down the rest of her rabbit with ravenous bites before licking the remains off her lips. Nettlepaw padded happily over to the queens den and stuck her nose in to see the kit was up. Stepping lightly forward she touched her nose to his ear. "How are you feeling?"
-
Nettlepaw sat scuffing the ground with her claws and pulling out grass, beginning to get impatient. "Are we leaving yet?" she groaned. The prey would fall asleep waiting for them all day.
-
Nettlepaw followed close by the patrol watching what the others did. Standing still with her tail straight in the air she listened for any sounds of prey and opened her mouth to drink in any scent. Flicking her ears toward a bush she laid herself low in the grass. Creeping towards the bush she tried to stay as silent as possible. With a push from her hindlegs she pounced on the mouse. It let out a screech of horror as her claws raked across it. "I got it!" she announced surprised then felt her fur grow hot, "and it might be the last if I scare the rest off".
