The little cat nodded and backed up, halting when he was at Moonfang's side. His amber eyes were dull with terror and fear. Moonfang could smell the bitter scent of evil in the empty room. Her eyes narrowed as she grabbed a torch in her mouth and walked slowly into the room.

The silver tabby she-cat turned towards her right as a low voice growled. It said, "Leave! Or I shall kill you, you kittypet!" Moonfang looked offended. "I am NOT a stupid kittypet, you stupid piece of foxdung! I am a MoonClan warrior!" she growled. Darkpaw murmured, "I'm an apprentice of my father's Clan..."

    12

Darkpaw cried out for Moonfang as he was dragged away. Moonfang dropped the torch and grasped Darkpaw's scruff. She pulled, but not too hard so it would hurt him. The torch caught the room on fire, and soon the two cats were engulfed in the red flames. "Help! Someone!" Darkpaw yowled.

    [color=white]13 (LUCKY NUMAH 13...or not?)

Suddenly, as if someone listened, a trapdoor opened up where Moonfang and Darkpaw were standing. The trapdoor closed above them as a few lights went on. A green and yellow lizard was controlling the trapdoors. "Welcomeeeee, my dear catssssss. Are you sssscared?" it asked. Darkpaw nodded, but Moonfang didn't.

    14

Darkpaw was suddenly frightened by the snakes coming toward him. He crawled under Moonfang's belly, crouching in fear on the floor. Moonfang growled at the lizard. "Why are there snakes?" she demanded. The lizard laughed. "You ssssssee, cat, I am the controllerrrr. Thhhhhat meansss I control what'ssss happeninggggg..." it replied.

    15 (halfway there!)

Darkpaw looked at one snake. It hissed but didn't attack him. "Hello there, young cat. I am the sssssssnake guard. I make ssssure to pick up the dead bodiesssss of catssss who have died." it said. The lizard grinned and pressed a big green button. On one of the tvs, large spikes ran through a cat's body. Darkpaw flinched, looking away. One of the snakes hissed. "Great. I have to pick it up. That'sssss wonderful..." it said sarcastically.

    16

The snake who had just talked slid down a snake tube, leading to the dead cat. Moonfang looked at the lizard. "Why did you do that?" she hollered, furious at the lizard. "It'sssss fffffun!" the lizard replied. Darkpaw crawled out and stood up. "No it's not! It's harmful!" he hissed. Moonfang grasped his scruff as the lizard pressed a red button, opening a trap door.

    17

Darkpaw looked ashamed and fearful at the same time. Moonfang, however, was still not scared. The lizard sighed and pushed a blue button, and on the tv several dogs attacked two young cats. One cat survived, while the other one was mauled to death. One snake slid down a snake tube and picked up the dead body.

    18

Moonfang and Darkpaw noticed the lizard pulling a lever. They were shot up, and landed on the second floor of the monster house. "W-Where are we now?" Darkpaw meowed when it was over. Moonfang sniffed the floor. "Not sure. Maybe the first or second floor." she replied.

    19

Moonfang noticed a dark cat with glowing red eyes standing in the hallway. "Stay close to me, and yell my name, Moonfang, if someone grabs you." she instructed. Darkpaw nodded and quickly noticed the dark cat. "Who's th-that?" he murmured. Moonfang narrowed her eyes. "Not sure, let's find out..." she growled and padded up to the dark cat. Darkpaw followed, and crouched by her side. The dark cat smiled and clawed Darkpaw's face, giving him a scarred right eye. Moonfang hissed and pounced on the dark cat, giving it terrible scratches. Once she defeated it, it poofed out of sight.

    20

A dog suddenly appeared, barking its head off. Moonfang hissed and attacked the mutt, clawing its face. Darkpaw heard a fox snarl behind him. He turned around and shrieked, clawing the fox's muzzle. It got mad and flung Darkpaw against the wall. Moonfang defeated the dog and swiveled around, clawing at the fox's face.

    21

Darkpaw crawled underneath the fox and sprang up on it from behind. He fastened his claws on the fox's pelt and starting nipping it with his sharp teeth. Moonfang turned around and kicked the fox's face with her powerful back paws. She leaped around and the stunned fox and swiped its throat with her claws.

    22

The fox turned on Moonfang, and charged into her. Moonfang fell down, exposing her belly. Darkpaw was terrified but knew what he had to do. He ripped fur off the fox, but its gaze was still focused on Moonfang. The fox growled and bit the she-cat's tail. Moonfang yowled and went limp. Darkpaw was confused. 'How could a simple bite to the tail kill a cat?' he thought.

    23

The fox smiled and turned on Darkpaw, its green eyes gleaming with pride. "I won't let you get away with this!" Darkpaw yelled and slashed the fox's face, stunning it. Moonfang smiled and laughed then got up and leaped on the fox's back. She bit its neck, killing it. "I was playing dead, it's what you do so you can get advantage." she mewed. Darkpaw nodded and heard a the floor creak. Two pillars went up, Moonfang and Darkpaw clinging on them. They stopped at the third floor and dropped the two cats off.

    24

Moonfang and Darkpaw hopped off and landed on the hard floor. The pillars went down, as the floor filled in the gaps the pillars made. "Are we done?" Darkpaw mewed. Moonfang blinked, confused. "I don't think so..." her voice drifted off. A hoard of badgers was a few foxlengths behind Darkpaw. The dark tabby apprentice turned around to face the badgers, his amber eyes wide with horror.

    25

Darkpaw and Moonfang ran into the nearest room. They found a strong warrior curled up on a couch. Moonfang ran over to it and poked it with a paw. The warrior woke up and growled. "Haven't you heard of beauty sleep!" she hissed. Darkpaw yelled as a few badgers broke out. Moonfang narrowed her eyes at the warrior. "Happy we woke you up?" she growled. The light warrior nodded and sprang to her paws. Her green eyes shone brightly. "Call me Mittens, I was here exploring with my friend, Chase. He's over there, watching us but is too weak to fight. He was injured in a fight with some dogs." she meowed.

    26 (almost there!)

Chase nodded and licked his flank, revealing some blood on his tongue. Darkpaw frowned and found some cobwebs without any spiders. He rushed over to Chase and put a few cobwebs on his flank. "What'd you do that for?!" Chase asked. Darkpaw narrowed his eyes. "Leave it! It helps stop the bleeding." he growled. Moonfang smiled and turned to Mittens. "Do you know of any other cat in this room?" she mewed. Mittens pointed her tail towards several gleaming eyes. "They're Hollyfur, Whisper, Matthew, and Rose. They're fit to fight." she answered. Moonfang nodded. "Good, we'll need them." she replied. Darkpaw stayed where Chase was, looking after his wounds. Rose bounded over to Moonfang. "Fight? What for?" she asked the silver tabby. Moonfang pointed her tail towards the badgers blocking the doorway. Rose's green eyes widened and motioned Matthew and Whisper to come over. They followed, leaving Hollyfur behind. Hollyfur tilted her head upwards. She awoke, revealing glimmering blue eyes. She noticed the badgers and growled, crashing into them and clawing most of them before she ran out and hid in the shadows.
