Sure, but can Moonfang master it, afterall she's one of the avatars. But I was surprised air was a shadow element. I understand fire was a light element, but it is deadly, no?

She can come close. Moonfang can learn the advanced techniques, but she can't really come as close to Firefly's skill unless she's willing to let herself turn into a beast and sacrifice her humanity like the other shadowbending masters. To truly be able to perform shadowbending, you must become the element. Firefly's comrades died because the price for getting ultimate bending capacity was their sanity and humanity. Even though she miraculously managed to hang on to a strip of her humanity, Firefly isn't as sane as she used to be.Besides, once you become "Pure"(as in made of the element) shadowbender, you can only bend that element. You lose the gift you get from being the avatar, for you see, that would give a person just too much power. But Firefly would be more than happy to teach your character as many techniques as your character can possibly perform.
I just love the thought that comes into this. I mean, who knew that someone as bright as you could actually make up this? Ehh...I've seen a lot of iNsAnITY things so far and it's not quite as bad. But I prefer Moonfang to be the avatar. She has a semi-demonic mode similar to the Avatar stage, but at full moons cannot control it. So she's a little bit a beast. :3
