The drove until they reached 'Handley Orphanage'. "This isn't right!", the kind one said as he carried Mercedes with her violin and bow. "I had to lie to this kid's sister!"
"Her sister has to take care of the other kids and might not have time for this one since she's blind and their parents died."
They left her on the steps. "She'll be better of here then with her siblings", the gruff one resided. "You live here, so she'll be fine with you."
The kind one didn't say a thing as his 'friend' drove away. "Welcome to home", the kind one mustered to say as he carried her in.

The kind one gladly gave her back. "I'm sorry, it was my warden's idea. She read the part in the paper about your parents death and she knew you wonldnt be able to sustain yourself. So she going to have you and the siblings live in the orphanage when she gets the court's order", he confested.
"Freya...", Mercedes started to awake. "My head hurts..."
