ooc: I thought Artemis had 0 children. Cuz she thought guys were gross and un mannered and all that stuff and ya.
ic: Aspen made a clicking noise to attract the griffin. She looked to her left and there stood a griffin, three times the size of a pegasus. Its wings spread out with a wingspan of about 11 meters. It was covered in huge golden and bronze feathers. Its talons the size of a full grown human arm. She stared at it, mouth gaping. It was a whole lot bigger than it was when she saw it from the air. Its powerful back legs moved, huge muscles rippling under its pelt.

Aspen watched its movements. She could tell by the look in its eye that this was not a creature to mess with.
-
The griffin flew up, it's amber eyes searching for prey. Aspen looked up at it, gaping. This thing was on the prowl. She quickly turned and hid behind a tree, slinking past the harpies and into camp. Night had fallen, which meant all campers must be in the camp or...well, harpies will eat you. Heh, fun. That'll teach ya to go to bed on time. Aspen looked for her bow in her cabin.
-
Aspen sensed something. She didn't know what, but it was a bad feeling.
-
Aspen looked for Chase. She walked over to Adriane."Hey, have you seen Chase around?" She asked."I-I need to talk to him."
-
I'm an identical twin with my sister. Being a twin isn't as fun as it seems. We aren't too close. We dont like the same person, dress the same, or think the same but we look the same. She is taller than me and a bit larger in size. I am pretty small though.
-
That is scary!!!!!!!!!

-
"Hmm. I hope he isn't out of camp borders. Those harpies will take him as their midnight snack." She said.
-
Aspen stepped back a bit. She shook her head."oh, hey. Can I talk to you a second?"
-
"Your father, you know, he's always despised of Zeus and wanted to take over Olympus. He is not a very popular god up on Olympus. Some even say maybe..evil. Anyone would expect that from the ruler of the underworld. But, I wouldn't quite leap before I look. I've never met him so I can't judge. I'm just saying that you do have some of that cruelty in you, though it doesn't show. Just be careful, not a lot of campers like Hades kids."
-
"No, not that I think you are. It's just, other campers are critical, some may even harm you just because of that. I'm only telling you to watch your back."she said, a little ticked. She clicked and Dusk Wind trotted out from behind the bushes. She got on his back."And don't expect me to be there when you're the kid getting beat up." Dusk Wind seemed in agreement with a cold stare before opening his wings and taking off.
-
Aspen clung onto Dusk Wind's mane, urging him farther upwards. They were high up in the mountains somewhere. There was a thick fog, she could barely see Dusk Wind's ears. She could feel the tension in her pegasus's muscles. She gave him a reassuring pat on the neck but he only flinched. She eased him down slowly and landed on the mountain. He folded his wings and she hopped off. The fog was thinner down here, so she could see a lot better. She searched for her cave from her past. She brushed away some frost and there was a wooden door. She opened it and Dusk Wind followed her inside. She lit some candles and turned on the lantern. Inside was big enough for them. There was a penned area with hay and soft bedding for Dusk Wind in the corner. On the other side of the room was a nicely made cot with a wood nightstand and a kerosene lamp. There was an old dresser and a desk too. A few cupboards lined one wall, with dry food for a week, mostly stale. A rug lay on the floor. She led Dusk Wind into the penn and bed him down. The wind blew through the cracks in the door. She sat at the desk with a pen and paper, drawing Dusk Wind sleeping. She sighed.
-
Aspen went to a fountain and dropped a gold drachma in."Chase, son of Hades." An Iris message appeared in front of her. She saw Chase in his empty cabin. She took the note she has been writing and attached it to a pegasus feather. She sealed it with a red wax stamp and blew on it. It disintegrated and appeared on the floor in the corner. The note read:
Dear Chase,
I am sorry if I had hurt your feelings. I should have never brought it up. I just became protective of you. Like I am protective of Dusk Wind. I was only saying you would be a target of the other campers. I was picked on at my old school because of my ADHD and dislexia. I didn't want you to feel that way so I said what I did, and I'm sorry. I know that camp isn't a good place for me to be. I only make things worse with what I say. Please take care of White Wing, Faolan, and Feather for me. You and Adriane can have them. I won't be returning to camp. Thanks for being a good friend to me.
Signed,
Aspen, Daughter of Athena.
She waved away the Iris message and sat on the cot. She blew out the candles and pulled the covers over herself, staring at the ceiling. -
She looked over at Dusk Wind. She closed her eyes and began to feel drowsy. She fell asleep.
-
Aspen got up. It was too early to go to sleep. She picked up a paintbrush and paints and began painting on the cave walls. It was the griffin she has seen earlier that she was painting. She painted some patterns and other things to brighten the room up a bit. The wind howled through the cracks. She looked out of one of the cracks. The fog had cleared and the afternoon sun shone down on the rock. She got a small snack from the cupboard. A few stale crackers with jam. She checked her watch after eating. 4:56. She went over to Dusk Wind and sat with him. She shared a bond with him since she was young. She was 5 when she had first met him when he was only a foal. Not even grown wings. When he did get older he had his wings, but she didn't know she was a demigod. Her dad hid his wings under a blanket he always wore. When Aspen was at school her dad taught him to fly. She could ride him. But when she was 11 she figured out she was a demigod, and her dad showed her his wings. Aspen rubbed his neck and hissed his nose.
-
Ooc: which door. Her cabin door?
Ic: Aspen felt the ground shake. She got up and edged towards the door. A huge griffin stood there, the same one she had seen earlier. She backed away from the door, knowing the deadly creature would sense her -
Ooc. How could she get there so fast? She is up in the alps of the Jou.rain in a hidden cave.
-
Aspen walked to the door, curious as to who was knocking and how in the world they got there. She looked through a crack and noticed Adriane. She opened the creaky door."Um..hi."she said. She looked around to see a pegasus or something but there was nothing but Adriane.
-
" um.. long story. But, I won't be coming back to camp. I've got a sword, bow, and Amstrad. I can survive out here.
