I stood up and left without even looking at the teacher, though I knew she was scowling at me. I walked past a girl with her phone and shoved a coin into the vending machine and grabbed the can of Coke. I glanced back at the girl. "Who you texting?" I asked casually, being nosy as usual. I knew everything that went on in this school and I didn't know this. I suppose I'm too nosy, but oh well. I flicked my hair out of my face and dragegd one earphone out so I could hear her reply.

He sat down in the sand, his crows landing next to him, he drew a pattern in the sand. A detailed smoking big cat skull formed in the sand under his fingers.

She raised her empty to eyes to his face. "I'm fine," she whispered, her voice unconvincing, but with a tinge of defiance.
-
She shrugged, "Like I care," she muttered, slipping away from her previous anger. Her eyes dulled again and she stared out the window.

Grace vanished, appearing at Crystal's side, catching the last of her sentence. "Demons can't eat food," she said, looking at her curiously.
-
I shrugged. "Just wondering," I replied "are you going to that party?" I asked, actually curious for once.
-
Lady Nightstalker faced her, her sword in front of her. She smiled.
-
I snorted. "Of course, where else would I be?" there was a sarcastic edge to my voice. Prayer by Disturbed blasted out of my earphones.
-
Nightstalker calmly raised her palm, uttered a word and the fire ball split into two and swept around her, spluttering out. The Dark Lady's smile became taunting and challenging.
-
Grace nodded slowly. "Wheres Ohanzee?" she purred, rubbing one of her lynx between the ears.

I shrugged again, pushing my earphone back in. I stumped away, not even bothering to go to my next class. I sat down in a corner and played a game on my phone.

She launched into the branches of the nearest tree and then flung herself away to the side, just escaping with a long cut along her calf.

She gazed up at him, not quite seeing him. With a small sigh Angel stood up and left, dragging her bag with her.
-
Nightstalker dropped lightly to the forest floor, keeping her weight off her injured leg.

I got bored of the game and took to watching the few people that wandered the halls, very boring. I sighed to myself and ducked down a side hall as a teacher marched past, his arms full of stacks of formal looking paper.
-
Nightstalker grimaced and glared at her frozen followers.
-
The lady turned back to the dragon and bared her teeth in a primitive gesture.
-
Lady Nightstalker flicked her sword towards the dragon and put her palm over the wound. She muttered something and the gash glowed a tiny bit.

I slid down the wall and sat rather uncomfortably against the wall. I pulled out my phone and began texting some of my friends with rapid strokes of my fingers.

"I like nothing really," she said dully "I dislike people, music, movies, being awake, school, cute couples..." She trailed away, looking bitterly at the ground. "I don't have any hobbies," she added.
