[Poor Tria.] [And TheNextSmallThing , Exdeus is leader of the Betas, not the Alphas.]

    Rea D'Angelo (Omega leader)

Rea looked quite irritated when Exdeus ignored her advances. I've probably spoiled him too much. What an idiot. She thought, narrowing her eyes as she resumed putting on the rest of the uniform. They were talking about strategy, yes, but she had hoped to have a little more fun on their own, especially now that they were alone. She liked his whole 'king and queen' analogy, and the Omega hoped to carry it to fruition. "The plan sounds good," she called to Exdeus, as he went to greet his informer. "we'll talk about the details later..."

The Omega was quite offended when Finn had simply referred to her as 'a girl.' Even as Exdeus signaled for her to stand back, Rea marched right up to Finn to interject, paying little mind to their conversation. "I'm not just a girl!" She growled, her fists clenched at her sides as she glared at Finn. Doesn't this guy know who I am?! Rea thought. She had never seen Finn before, but she at least assumed that, whoever he was, he at least knew his clan leaders. Still, Rea was careful to spell out her identity to the stranger---it could evolve into a very dangerous situation if Finn actually found out who she was. Even worse, I would be fucked if he found out I... She awkwardly bit her lip. Well, fucked Exdeus. Considering we're both clan leaders.

[No worries! So Jonah Diana is the leader of the Alphas]

    Rea D'Angelo (Omega leader)

Rea bit her lip and looked away at Finn's remark. Her face was bright red with embarrassment and anger. Do I really... smell like it? She silently wondered, fuming. It would be rather problematic if almost anyone could just smell the stench of sex coming off of her; especially because she couldn't even detect the scent herself. Even if I've just showered? For several moments, the Omega leader shifted uncomfortably in her shoes. But... a hint of a smile later snuck its way up her onto her lips. Actually, that just attests to how good I was, doesn't it? Rea thought. She was wearing a full-on smirk, now, as she looked back to Finn with a raised eyebrow. It totally does. Fooling around, my ass!

The Omega decided to leave the informer in the dark about her true identity. In fact, it was rather relieving to her that Finn apparently did not recognize who she was. Rea supposed that could have been attributed to the fact that she was wearing a female assassin's uniform, for one thing.

As much as she wanted, to, however, Rea did not further interject as Finn continued his report to Exdeus. Like Finn, she had always somewhat thought the Unknowns to be nothing more than people of myth and rumors, though the mention of young and older individuals that they had earlier encountered rung a bell. The one that attempted to save me... Rea frowned and crossed her arms as she listened. It made sense that the boy would have been an Unknown; he never slit her throat, even as Rea herself was attempting to wriggle out of his grasp and attack him. She was also well aware of the fact that the very existence of Unknowns would prove to be yet another puzzling factor in her and her clan's research into Toxicen. How could someone be entirely resistant to Toxicen? Rea pondered, clenching her fists. Wherever the Unknowns were, she needed to talk with them.

["Well, we are the same person" from Exdeus' thoughts made me laugh so hard]

    Rea D'Angelo (Omega leader)

The Omega watched the informer leave without a second thought. That fool. Leaving without even knowing who I am. She thought, as she turned back to Exdeus. The fact that Exdeus had an informant who gave him intel on the Alphas' projects was sensitive, invaluable information, and she was glad to have (on some level) discreetly listened into the matter.

"Great," Rea answered, smiling and wiggling her fingers. She imagined the reassuring, heavy feeling of her knife and pistol in her hands. "I'd like to have them back now, please." Having her weapon rights being granted again was an exhilarating feeling, more so because she had, in a way, squeezed those privileges out of Exdeus. She prided herself on the fact that the the Beta leader likely would have never even considered the idea had she not taken certain actions.

Those very aforementioned actions, Rea understood, were the behaviors that Exdeus could not quite understand nor respond immediately well to. So, when the Beta leader commented that the assassin's outfit 'fit her well', she mercifully grinned at Exdeus and took his hand. She leaned into his ear. "The word you're looking for is 'hot', love." She whispered, before moving her face away and swinging his hand back in forth in hers, playfully. Rea acted rather flirtatious not necessarily because she wanted to do sensual acts with Exdeus all the time, but because she found the confused actions she elicited from the leader to be adorable and hilarious. His cluelessness about such matters was yet another trait of his that she found endearing. Rea continued. "Don't worry. You'll pick up on this eventually." She said, softly.

The Omega then turned away and looked up at the ceiling. "I just wanted to be clear on this: are you allowing me to leave to go to my clan or not?" She asked, without turning to face him. "Because, if we are to hold this truce, then I need to let my people know about it. I don't have telepathy, you know."

[EDIT: Yes! It just seemed so sassy to me, for some reason, and the matter-of-factedness about the comment was what I also found to be quite funny.]

    Rea D'Angelo (Omega leader)

Rea was about to yell at Exdeus' officer for his mumbling, but she froze the instant she saw Exdeus fall to his knees.

"Exdeus!" Rea exclaimed, paling. How could she have forgotten about his wound as well? I had reminded him about it, damn it! She mentally screamed at herself, gritting her teeth. Trying to fight back her rising sense of panic, the Omega bent down at Exdeus' side, and, using his cloth, started to apply pressure to the wounds to stop the bleeding. "Damn it..." She hissed, as his warm blood completely drenched her hands. She glared at Exdeus, angrily, though her rage was one filled with irritation and concern. "You need to take better care of yourself!" She barked at him, still applying pressure to his wounds. "Honestly! Quit acting so tough all the time, you idiot...!"

Aware that she needed to get help for Exdeus as soon as possible, Rea looked back the way Exdeus' officer had left and shouted after him. "Hey!" She called out, forcefully. "Get back here! Your leader needs help!" She snarled, her sense of nervousness only feeding her frustration. Rea remained where she sat and looked around the compound. "Someone, get the doc!"

    Rea D'Angelo (Omega leader)

Rea good-naturedly rolled her eyes at Exdeus' 'wife' comment. "You're really one for analogies, aren't you?" She said, as she moved aside to allow the doctor to do his work. "Too bad formal marriage isn't really a thing anymore," Rea mumbled, smiling ruefully. "not that I want to marry you, of course. Not in a billion years." She quickly added. She had been half-joking, as the idea of commitment scared her. Freedom was the Omega's highest ideal, and she didn't like the idea of anything with strings attached.

"I'll say it!" Rea growled, after she listened to Exdeus' and medic's exchange. She supposed she knew exactly what word Exdeus was warning the doctor not to say. She raised her chin and stared down at Exdeus. "You need to rest, Exdeus!" She grumbled, repeatedly poking the Beta leader in the face to quite literally drive home her point. "And this is coming from a pregnant woman, alright? Like I said before, you're not invincible!"

I'll try to think of some apocalyptic/survival roleplays. As for "darker, psychological plots", I think I was trying to describe the general atmosphere of RPs. I just enjoy stories with a more psychological focus on characters, but by no means is that a requirement of mine!

I think I know what you mean, and, if I am understanding correctly, you are asking if you can involve NPCs (essentially, "no player characters") into the writing, yes? Because that is perfectly fine! Like you said, it'll add a dimension of realism to the story.

No worries about your questions! I myself have recently made a comeback (from two-three years, I think?) about a month or two ago, actually. In that sense, I've been kind of feeling my way around as to what to do and what not to do as well. This site has changed so much.

Alright! I will come to you when I need help. Give me some time and hopefully I'll be able to come up with a decent, basic premise.

Same here! I came here in 2010, back when it was WCRPG with the gray-colored forum and everything. It has gone through Xanje, and now it's FF. It can be disorienting for sure!

    Name: Langley Phi

    Age: 19

    Gender: Female

Appearance: Langley is quite short. She stands at about 5’4". Her strong build, however, makes up for her otherwise small frame. She is quite lean and physically formidable after many hard years of survival in a world cursed with the Umbras. She has dyed her hair a light brown, though she will sometimes quite literally be too lazy to even bother with doing so. She enjoys keeping her hair up in a ponytail with short bangs, as she dislikes having her hair in her face. She has dark-colored (dark brown) eyes.

Langley usually wears an annoyed, exasperated, or mischievous look as she carries herself through the day.

Dress-wise, she will either dress rather lazily (sweatpants and a sweater and t-shirt), wear the academy’s uniform, or dress in a simple t-shirt in jeans. She dresses in plain colors and does not enjoy wearing jewelry, as she deems it as unnecessary and annoying.

Reference/Faceclaim: Fon Thanapatpisal (Character "Dao" from Hormones)

Key Personality Traits (To be further developed):

    Likes and Dislikes:

Powers: Soul/Ghost-Based (*All abilities have necessary limitations/weaknesses that will not be detailed until performed in-character)

    Weapons:

    - Primary: Pistol

    - Secondary: Folding shortsword

(Brief) History: Like most other students, Langley was sent to the Arx Academy for her supernatural powers, thanks to the radiation inflicted upon the Earth’s inhabitants by the shadow-like Umbra parasites. Langley welcomed the change, as she had always found the hard days and work on her family radish farm to be boring, and, unfortunately, unfulfilling, especially in the face of such peril facing humanity.

When the Arx Academy invited Langley to their school so that she may use her abilities for the betterment of humanity, the nineteen year-old was absolutely enthralled, and she rushed to the campus grounds within days. She was, however, quite bummed out to find that the academy would be teaching her academics in addition to combat. She also absolutely hated her assigned partner.

Since then, Langley has been quite the slacker in her subject classes, all the while being at the top of her class in the combat, powers, and mission-based curriculum. She has never been “too afraid” to take on any mission, no matter how daunting nor difficult.

    Other:

    Rea D'Angelo (Omega leader)

"A rather unnecessary invention, I might add," Rea said, quietly, smiling at Exdeus as she noticed him watching her. Rea loved the attention. "not that you care, but I never even considered marrying any of the guys I dated before the world went to hell." Rea wasn't looking at Exdeus, now. She was staring at a far, grimy wall, lost in reverie. She continued to speak, not caring if the doctor happened to be listening into their conversation. She knew that she still made sure to be careful to not insinuate her and Exdeus' feelings for each other. "And it wasn't because I had some sense of foreboding about the Toxicen leak, for the record. Honestly, the idea of being with someone for the rest of your life..."

Rea suddenly paused, stopping herself from reminiscing memories of her most recent partner, the father of her child. Oli... if all this hadn't happened... She thought, clenching her jaw. But now wasn't the time to think of such things. Especially if she had already promised to be faithful to Exdeus (lest she wear a shotgun collar, at least). What good was there in pining over someone who was very likely dead, anyway? Damn it, Rea. Focus! Quickly blinking the beginning of tears away, the Omega stood and turned to Exdeus.

Rea looked Exdeus up and down. "Much better." She purred, grinning up at the assassin. She stepped forward and ran her hand up and down his body, allowing her fingers to trace and smooth over his bandages lightly enough so that it did not harm him. She leaned her head against Exdeus' chest. "That was payback for you always touching my belly." Rea giggled, her voice low. She continued to feel Exdeus' chest and abdomen, desperately attempting to drown out all memories of her former partner while relishing every dip and curve of the assassin's lean body.

    LANGLEY PHI - GHOST/SOUL ABILITIES

"Hell, yes! We're almost there!" Langley excitedly exclaimed, as she pressed her face against the train's window. Her dark brown eyes flitted back and forth as she watched the trees, shrubbery, and decrepit homes of a rural land rush by. The utter desolation of the area, while it would have given most people a sense of foreboding, actually excited her; in fact, Langley was imagining the grassy expanse filled with Umbras, and her eyes shone at the idea of finally taking on the dark creatures for the first time. I've been training for this for months! My first mission! Langley thought, as she bounced up and down in her seat. Though her abilities were in their rudimentary stages, her entire body simply ached to use them in a real battle against the creatures she had only seen in blurry photographs. This is the real deal! Langley thought in anticipation, grinning.

Langley and her partner had been sitting in the academy-arranged, dingy passenger train for approximately three hours. They were bound for a small, rural town near the sunbelt regions of the nation; more specifically, the two hunters' destination was the small town's Umbra-infested beer warehouse. Langley and her partner's mission was simple: destroy all Umbras in the area.

Quickly getting bored of staring at nothing but wheat fields and farms, Langley finally moved away from the window and sunk into her seat. She then propped her feet up on the sitting booth opposite to her, crossed her arms, and closed her eyes. The girl had estimated that they had about fifteen minutes left until the train would reach their stop, so she was going to do what she loved most: sleep and ignore her partner all the while. It wasn't that Langley was actually trying to diss her partner---not right now, at least---it was just that the sight of her always pissed her off. One look at the girl sitting by her side just made something in Langley snap dangerously into two, mostly because it only reminded her of their numerous confrontations and arguments that she would rather not dwell on.

So, to avoid making her blood boil, Langley decided the best solution to their interpersonal dilemma was to simply shut her partner out of her view. Out of sight, out of mind, right? Langley thought, as she yawned, loudly. Better than us yelling at each other, too. Besides, I'm gonna need as much energy as I can get, anyway. Langley justified to herself, as she closed her eyes to doze off in the morning light.

Been on here for seven years. I was afraid to look at my first posts because the cringe is almost offensive, but:

now i'm wishing that it had been sarcastic because that would be absolutely hilarious, but, unfortunately, i have the feeling i was actually super shocked for some reason (pfft)

EDIT: i reread the thread and i might indeed have been sarcastic aaaaa

blue, do you mean you recognize my cringe post?

because i don't remember a character or a user by the name of greyriver or greysteam, unfortunately! that was quite a while ago. but, if you were on wcrpg back in 2010, i'd say there's a good chance we've spoken/rped before, as i was reaally active then.

    REA D'ANGELO - OMEGA LEADER

After she had removed her head from Exdeus' chest, Rea looked down at the assassin's touch and rolled her eyes. She then placed her hands on her hips and looked back up at the him, her eyebrows furrowed as she nonplussedly gazed upon the Beta. "That's right. Payback," she repeated after Exdeus, attempting to push back her sudden annoyance at the fact that the Beta leader had touched her there again. While Rea was aware that it seemed rather counterintuitive that she refused to allow Exdeus lay a hand on her abdomen yet had been enthusiastic about 'going all the way' with him, she couldn't quite bring herself to care. Even if she did love Exdeus, she found it beyond frustrating that the assassin continued to touch her belly, at, seemingly, whenever he could. "can you please cut out the whole randomly touching..." She uncomfortably gritted her teeth. Coming to terms with the fact that she was to have a kid she never wanted in the first place had only gotten marginally easier after the past few days. "...the kiddo? It's really annoying." Rea whispered to Exdeus, bluntly. "Or else I'm going to start randomly poking you in the gut whenever I get the chance to." She then took her hand off of his frame and stepped away.

After following Exdeus' brief glance to left, Rea also noticed that the Betas had placed their finishing touches on the convoy. Eager to leave the confines of the subterranean subway system, she readied her pistol, only somewhat listening to the Beta leader as he spoke to her.

Exdeus' question had caught her off guard. "Seriously?" She muttered, surprised. She turned back around to face Exdeus once more. "I can't believe you'd actually offer to mentor me yourself." Rea said, grinning, though her words carried a hint of genuine confusion. Rea appreciated Exdeus' offer, but she found the leader's suggestion to be politically problematic. The other clans, admittedly, weren't completely filled with idiots, and she figured that it didn't take much for some enemy member to figure out about her and Exdeus' relations if she suddenly started flaunting about a hidden blade. That would be the death of them, and she hoped Exdeus had at least foreseen such consequences.

Mindful of the possibly eavesdropping Beta members to their left, Rea lowered her voice and leaned closer to Exdeus. "The fact that I'm already dressing like one of your own is going to piss my people off enough already. So, me running about like you? Scaling towers and jumping from rooftop to rooftop? It's enough evidence to let anyone put two and two together, Exdeus." She warned. "It'll be a scandal! So, no. I might actually consider it once we have destroyed the Alphas, though." In truth, the idea of learning the combat styles of the Betas interested her, but she feared what her clan would think if she adopted Exdeus' ways. They would lose almost all trust in her. Imagine how fucking sad it would be. Rea thought. To have your kidnapped leader return, but only to find her completely indoctrinated by the enemy. In the end, an allegiance was an allegiance, a truce a truce, and the Omega leader had never been looking for anything close to assimilation.

[Great to hear that you're having a good time! And no worries about not having that much time to get online.]

"Uh, yeah! Take it slow. Taking things slow sounds good." Sol awkwardly repeated after Ashley, nodding. She had no problem with taking baby steps, and she whole-heartedly supported Ashley's suggestion. "Yep." Her nods of acknowledgment, however, looked more like painful neck convulsions. She was still trying to recover from the scorching embarrassment of her recent, rather depraved debacle. The girl was also trying very hard to get used to the fact that she actually had a girlfriend, now; funnily enough, it actually made Sol feel like she had to be even more careful about how she behaved in front of Ashley. So, it was difficult to not mull over how much her assumption might have blackened her reputation forever.

Sol clenched her jaw and concentrated. She needed to cut those weak and embarrassed thoughts out of her mind. She was at least mature enough to realize, after all, that panicking over Ashley's perception of her would do nothing to strengthen their relationship in the slightest. Besides, she really loves me, doesn't she? Sol warmly thought, as she saw Ashley's lovely, bright smile. Her girlfriend's love and beauty was enough to change the wolf's mind about her feelings of embarrassment. Forget it. I won't let something as stupid as that get in the way of us. "I've never been in a relationship, either," Sol replied, stating the obvious. She wasn't even sure if hand-holding was considered moving too quickly. Is it? Probably not. But what do... girlfriends even do? She briefly wondered. All she knew was that people in a relationship were supposed to 'date.' What is a date actually supposed to mean? "and, yeah! I bet that perverted jerk is lying to you, anyway." Sol added, smiling softly as she listened to Ashley's giggle. It made her heart jump a little in her chest.

After taking a deep breath and drawing in the forest's cool, fresh air, Sol looked out the cavern. Her golden gaze rested on the calming green of the lively scene before them. It's beautiful. It's like... Sol looked back to Ashley, and, after summoning the courage to do so, gently took the other girl's hand. Like her. "Ashley---" Sol started, blushing, but she stopped when saw the neko look down at her leg.

How could I have forgotten? Sol bit her lip. Ashley's leg was their top priority. The wolf didn't even want to think about what might happen if her leg got infected. Damn my father! She thought, angrily. "We'll go get help for your leg right now." Sol promised, standing. She knew that they needed to act quickly; almost one full day had elapsed since Ashley got shot. Sol also knew that Nico's bandages would do little to help stop infections, especially if they had been sitting around in a cave for a while.

Sol walked to the front of the cave and stared out into the forest, trying to remember which way the city was. She figured that she and Ashley would just have to disguise as they searched for a clinic. Wait... what is that a human? She thought, ears pricking as she watched a man take photos of a rabbit. Her ears twitched at each click the camera's shutters made. Compared to Ashley, Sol had grown up with a greater exposure to human culture and technology, so the device in the man's hands didn't look foreign to her. He's just... taking photos. Sol observed. She also noticed that the animals weren't running away---which was a good sign.

After another moment or two, Sol instantly made her decision. She turned back to Ashley, her tail wagging. "That photographer over there looks pretty nice," Sol whispered, urgently. They had to act fast. To Sol, they would miss a great chance at treating Ashley's leg if they simply let the man pass through the forest. We also need to hurry. We need to do something before infection sets in. She reasoned. I hope the guy isn't anything like that horny pervert from earlier. "I'm going to go talk to him and ask him for the nearest..." Sol paused. On second thought, a hospital wouldn't be a good idea. Too many humans. We'll just have to get help while avoiding the rest of society. Sol's mind continued to work quickly, trying to come up with a new solution. She put a finger to her chin, deep in thought.

We'll just ask for supplies and go! Sol suddenly thought, eyes widening. "Just stay here! I'll be back for you in a second." Sol told Ashley, before stepping forward and gently squeezing her girlfriend's hand. After letting go, the wolf darted off to greet the friendly-looking, blue-eyed man.

    REA D'ANGELO - OMEGA LEADER

"Well, I'm glad that was a joke." Rea sighed, frustratedly running her fingers up and down the grip of her pistol. She really did want to learn how to dispatch someone with a blade tucked beneath her wrist. It's just not worth the storm that will brew. She thought, briefly closing her eyes. Even if I could learn so much about the Betas...

"Anyway, thanks for even worrying about my condition." Rea said, still keeping her voice low. She smiled up at Exdeus. "But, just for the record, know that I'm usually never as fragile as I was these past days, okay?" Rea didn't want to even think of herself as someone who needed to protected all the time. She knew what hard work was, and she knew the danger that came with risk and reward. "If you see me as weak, even for one second, I'll punch you in the gut. Not poke. Punch." She added, completely serious. Though she was about to rub in the fact that Exdeus himself had been the one who shot her, Rea quickly decided against it. She wouldn't waste her breath on something they had already covered. Bringing up the same subject over and over again seemed too much like some pathetic psychological defense mechanism, anyways, and she didn't want to beat a dead horse.

Rea's skin tingled as she felt Exdeus' warm breath on her ear. He's finally starting to get the hang of it, isn't he? She thought, as stared back into his eyes with softened irises. "What do you mean by special?" She purred, suggestively. She assumed that Exdeus meant assassination lessons, of course, but she still wanted to mess with the Beta.

    REA D'ANGELO - OMEGA LEADER

"One that will leave you breathless." Rea smirked at Exdeus' words. She couldn't tell if he was teasing her back or was actually trying to provide an apt description of his 'special' lessons. Logic told her, however, that it was likely that the assassin meant the latter.

"Is that so?" Rea teased. Two can play at this game. The Omega leader thought, as she leaned closer to Exdeus' ear. The gal wasn't the type who enjoyed being left in the dark, and the suspense was killing her. Rea was also comfortably used to the being the one who spoke artfully; thus, to hear Exdeus say such things was new and even attractive to her. So, now she had the urge to shoot something back at him.

"Lessons that can leave me breathless..." As she often did, the Omega paused and pretended to think, placing a slender finger beneath her chin. She briefly looked up at the ceiling before turning her gaze back onto Exdeus. "Correct me if I'm wrong, Exdeus, but I believe you've already left me breathless before. Last night, actually," Rea teased, grinning at Exdeus. "you've already set the bar so high. Good luck on breaking it again with a few so-called "special" lessons."

Rea then looked to the assassins who had announced the convoy's complete preparation. Finally. She thought, straightening her shoulders. Back to the surface.

Curling a finger over her pistol's trigger, the Omega leader hurriedly began to limp towards the assembly. "Come on!" Rea called back to Exdeus, without even bothering to turn her head.
