Akari had been long gone by then and Artemis had flown away.

Akari veered sideways and rammed into a tree.

Akari avoided jakes gaze and started to run away again.

Akari looked at jake.

Kyrie looked around, out the window of her two story house.where were her Friends? They should've been here by now.She sighed.Then she heard gravel under tires in her driveway. She raced outside,

her bare feet pounding against the rough asphalt. She then stood to the side and watched the black car pull up onto the hill she lived on,and her friend, Patience hopped out, her dark brown curly hair

bouncing in her eyes."Hey, Patience !" she called, and then beckoned her to Kyries side. Patience came over and said,"Happy birthday, kyrie! I'm sorry I was late, the road was packed." she paused as two

more cars came up the drive way. Akari came out of the white car, and Kristina jumped out of the back of a brown pick up truck. they both came over, carrying bags full of presents,"Happy birthday, kyrie!"

they said at the same time and kyrie said, jinx! and they doubled over laughing. After they came inside, they watched a movie, then went to open presents. Kristina had gotten her roller skates, and

heelies. Akari got her a lamp and floating lantern, and Patience got her tons and tons of art supplies, including a set of paint glass stones."Thanks, girls!" and she hugged them all, then they played games,

like bob for apples, and hit the pinata. Kyries' mom called them into the dining room for cake.The cake was almost to pretty to cut or eat. It was frosted with silver, but at the top, it was the milky way, with

white frosting dots and candy pearl for stars.in purple and blue icing, the words,"Happy 12th birthday kyrie!" were written. Kyrie stared at it with pure joy on her face.She looked at her friends and

saw that they were all drooling at the cake, and then her family and her friends sang happy birthday, then she sucked in a deep breath, and blew with all her might, and the candles went out. she smiled,

and then the candles relighted."Huh?" she said, then blew again.Still, they stayed aflame. she saw her friends laughing and she smiled.Of course they would do that. Relighting birthday candles.

"Okay, then." she thought."I have a birthday wish.I wish that I can blow out these candles."then she thought for a second, then blew again. the candles went out, and didn't relight. She smiled and

grinned, and looked around the room.They were all staring at her."What I wished that I could blow them all out." she said, and smiles went up again.They cut the cake and she ate her bite, and tried the

hardest she could to savor each bite.It tasted like lemon, and vanilla.overall it tasted...perfect. After her relatives went home, She and her friends went up to her room,After her mother saw fit that her

friends have a sleepover. Her cat Inara sat on her bed, and she purred, when she saw Kyrie, and her friends. Patience, Kristina, and Akari flopped down on the inflatable beds, rolling out their blankets and

sleeping bags. Kyrie heard a person walking down the hallway,and she stood up, and opened the door, then got tackled by a redhead."Ohmygosh,imsosorrykyrie!" Kenzie said."It's okay, kenzie. I'm

just glad you made it." She stood up and smiled."Shall be go outside into the forest?" "yes!" the answer came as a chorus of voices, and they giggled. Kyrie led the way, into her backyard, which

happened to be a forest and pond. When they reached a giant tree, they stopped and turned around, and the house was gone!"What?' Kyrie cried, unable to hide her dismay.'but-who-why-house-lost-

"Akari started to panic, going into one of her panic attacks."Shhhh. It's okay,Akari, just breathe slowly.We'll find our way." Kenzie soothed,"But-But, how will we get back to Kyrie's house?" akari

stuttered."We just turn around and walk the way we came." Kyrie said comfortingly. when they turned
around, they saw a strange sight. A man was looking at them, but you couldn't see his eyes, as they

were hidden behind dark glasses, and the man wore a black..well it looked like a robe, and the man smiled, but it wasn't a happy smile, it looked different. a feeling of dread washed over kyrie, and she

took a step back, closer to the group, and the man whipped out a tall glass rod with a metal ball on the end Kyrie screamed to her friends,"Run!Run away!" then she felt a searing pain on her, and saw

the man had hit her with a bolt of pure energy, and she collapsed, and the last thing she saw was the man leaning over them, and he whispered,"So...the prophecy has begun." and everything went black.

Kyrie woke up, and she sat straight up, early analyzing her surroundings.it was her room.But she was in the forest! She looked to her side, and saw her friends in their inflatable beds, also looking

confused."What a strange dream I had." Kyrie started, and then she told her friends, and was shocked to hear that they had the same dream."How odd..." she trailed off, and then Patience spoke up."What

about that man? Do you think He's real?" Kristina butted in."Of course he's not real.It was a dream." she yawned, then a rumble sounded."Sorry." Kenzie said."I'm hungry." "mm hmm.' they nodded, then

headed downstairs, for breakfast. Kyrie headed down to the bus stop, and the morning air was crisp and cold, the way she liked it. She pondered about the dream, and the sudden responsibility that

came over her when she and the girls were lost and in danger in that dream. She stopped when she realized that she almost walked right past her bus stop.She hurried over, to Akari, who lived on the

same avenue. A boy dressed in black was there to. He was wearing a black leather jacket, black combat boots, black jeans, and a black t-shirt that said, 'newbie'. But the look on his face was

mischievous, and his blue eyes looked like they were twinkling."Hi!" he said brightly."Pleasure to meet you.I'm Alex."His black hair waved a little as he shook her, and Akari's hand.They got in order of age,

so Alex went first, Kyrie went second, and Akari went last. Akari was 12, but she was still a couple months younger.Alex swung himself down on the second row, and Akari went to the back, where no

one went, and she was just shy that way. Kyrie plopped herself on the first seat, and chatted with Alex for a bit.

"Jake, I saw you smile." her hair was starting to float up again.

She exhaled, and her hair flopped down."Jake, I can forgive you, but not now, and it will take time." she said.

She watched him fly off.

back their papers, she noticed again, a group of prissy,popular, and not-so-pretty girls staring at her and smirking. "What now?" she thought in her head. Those girls were the biggest bullies in the school,

and they made almost everyone bow down in front of them. She shook her head, just as the bell rang. She stood up, and got out the door. As she was walking down the hall, she saw The group of girls

circled around Akari, and laughing cruelly. she noticed Akari was crying, and Kyrie felt her hands curl into fists. "Hey, Triple Ps! Leave Akari alone!" she marched right over there, and stood between Akari

and the head leader, Domenine." Oh look, it's the freak-know-it-all!" Domenine sneered. "Be careful what you say." Kyrie muttered darkly. "What's that freak?! You trying to say something?" The Bully

said, her voice dripping with honey. "I said, talk!!" Domenine Pushed Kyrie hard, but kyrie held up her hand without her , nor Domenine Prepared for what happened next. A stream of water shot out of her

water bottle, and doused Domenine quite thoroughly and there the bully stood dripping with water, soaked, and her hair ruined." F-Freak!" she yelled, though the cruelty and sarcasm had left."I'll get

you for this!!" and with that, she and her merry little group turned tail and ran. Kyrie turned around, shocked, and helped Akari up. "K-K-Kyrie..h-how did y-y-you...." Akari stuttered, her breaths shallow

and coming in pants."I-I don't know." Kyrie said, trying to focus."Come on Akari. Were going to be late for P.E ."

Akari went back to the bunker.
