Eryn appeared when she became aware of the pull of power. She had to sit back; being just as big as the twisted dragon before them, it was awkward to move when he took up half the space. She was careful not to step on or hit anyone who was in the room, but it was almost impossible. "I remember you," she growled. "You disappeared. . . no loyal dragon would do so without giving notice first." She looked down at the book Archrui was holding. Her pupils narrowed to furious slits. "And you brought that. . . thing?!"

Honestly the whole get the protagonist t trust a bad guy is sooooo frickin cliché dude. I hate it with a passion. You can thank GoT The Red Wedding for that.

Eryn reared up from where she stood. She didn't recall the name of this creature, but she knew it was deadly as a basilisks' stare. She opened her jaws, her throat expanding, and roared. Lightning shot out out from her jaws and crackled towards the creature.

Ember keeled over, and just barely managed to make a sound-proof bubble around herself.

Eryn easily deflected the redirected lightning and it dissipitated. She then spat fire at the creature.

Ember shifted. Her form grew longer,sinuous. She also grew bigger. masses of black scales shifted and rasped against each other, the coils tightening. A huge, triangular head lifted, and the hood flared. The forked tongue flickered out, followed by a sinister hiss. The mouth opened to reveal a rather terrifying set of venomous fangs. The cobra could not hear the way the woman had, and was unaffected by the creature. Its throat convulsed as its head drew back; its head shot forward as it released a stream of venom that flew toward the enemy.

Eryn used her magic instead; she focused on the creature and willed time around it to slow down.

The cobra still was not affected; as her mind was mostly different in this form, the voices were nothing more to her than a fly is to a human. She struck at the Gorroth, fully intent on sinking her fangs in.

Eryn was only a tiny bit smaller, so she wasn't flung about, though her feet were yanked out from under her.
