Vinepaw shook her head. "No," she mewed quietly. "You were led to believe that we were... were... 'savage wild cats', but we'd only kill for serious self defense." She looked at Chuckles, hoping he'd believe her.

"If any of our cats- It could have been another Clan- attacked to murder, it would not be a whole Clan, it would most likely be a unfaithful, murderous individual, or a group of them. Trust me, we will not hurt anyone, let alone murder them." Vinepaw mewed.

Songheart trotted after Swiftears. "You were really about to leave?" she asked in a hurt tone. "Firestar isn't leader anymore, Hollystar might let us be mates."

Vinepaw shook her head. "I don't know... but think about it, if your family was killed by other cats, wouldn't you go to desperate measures to avenge their death? I would..." she added.

Sonu bounced to his paws and bounded away, yipping playfully.

"What...?" Vinepaw asked nervously.

Robinflight jumped on a badgers back, only to be thrown off by another badger. She fell on the dirt with a loud THUD and rolled out of the way just as the badger tried to crush her.

Vinepaw gasped, "Well we gotta tell him it was a rouge passing through. If he finds out it was you... you're dead!"

Robinflight raced toward Cherryblossom. "Is she okay?!" she cried.

Vinepaw moaned. "I'm not letting him kill you," She took a deep breath. "If he's killing you, then I killed his family too."

Robinflight's eyes flickered to Pinepaw and they darkened. She hurled herself at another badger, clwing at its ears furiously.
