Elypsis blinked as someone else came up. Another girl, younger than the two already there, by the looks of her. Wow, this alley was popular or something. She opted to glance around. It was dark, grimy, and filled with trash strewn around. It smelled about as good as it looked. She wondered why anyone would wander down this way to happen upon her, but eh, it seemed it happened coincidentally. With a pink tinge upon her cheek, she spoke up, shoving the coins into some pockets. "Oh, uh, I just lost is all. No big deal," she said, with a shrug. Though, if the scanners hadn't picked up anything anomalous, she would technically have won. Then if they didn't know what she meant, she elaborated. Even though they looked like they knew what she meant. She nudged towards the building next to her, with the single shady door in the wall, where she was thrown from. "I mean from there, the Channeling Ring."

ooc: i tend to do things vague, just to advance the plot lol, but when youre fighting, its up to you! XD

Elypsis was caught by surprise. "Oh, you scanned me," she murmured, noticing the robotic eyes of the girl. Her own eyes were still normal (a light yellow color actually, for as normal as that color would be considered), it was common for Channelers to have eye implants to help scan opponent's. But it wasn't that common. She wondered how much of this girl was human anymore, if even her eyes were robotical: 20%? 10%? 5%? It was hard to tell accurately, but easier to tell by intuition. Elypsis's intuition was telling her 'not a whole lot'. Frowning, and wiping herself down, preparing to leave, she responded. "Not really sure why it matters, but yes, I lost." Her voice conveyed her frustration. Could this person even tell emotion anymore?

Elypsis with a raised eyebrow, warily reached out, and shook the girl's hand. A second later, the blonde reached down and clasped her rifle, before flinging the strap over her shoulder, to hold it comfortably. The girl's scanners didn't seem to pick up anything anomalous, though they may just not be as up-to-date as the ones in the Channeling Ring. "I'm Elypsis, nice to meet you, I guess." -
ooc: oh so so sorry for the late reply! D: <3
ic: Echoblood stared at him boredly, as he fumbled to speak to her. The younger tom seemed not only perplexed, but out of his element. She even took the time to rasp a tongue over her paw, and draw it over her ears. Suddenly, her ears perked up. "How am I? How am I?" she repeated incredulously. As if his question was asinine. Which it was. "OH, I'm just wonderful! How are you?" She meowed, with just the very hint of sarcasm in her voice. Though, it was hard to pick up on. Unless you knew Echoblood of course.

Elypsis was always ready to accept a kindness, as she just did a moment ago with the ref, but she was also not the most trusting of people. Most people in Elysium did not operate on total kindness. Half the time they wanted something in return. Teri was about the nicest person she knew, but she also knew he was only nice because he got paid. Well, he also seemed to particularly like Elypsis, though she swore he batted for his own team.Despite not having much money, she did have enough to get something. Even if it would've been junk to eat, but still enough. Frowning, she thought about it. Something 'decent'? That sounded great, whetting her appetite. "Hmm, I'm not sure. Their scanners seem to be pretty unforgiving and top-notch. But, something 'decent' sounds good!" She smiled. Then frowned. "Duno if they'll let me in again, though..."

Elypsis wasn't entirely convinced, but decided to go along with it. She was just that hungry. The girl lived on her own, in this rundown apartment, and could barely afford most meals, leaving her to eat some of those worst slop society had to offer. So she followed this 'Ren' chick, and walked towards the crowd, right by the ref."Woah, hey. What are you doing back in here?" The ref asked, frowning, and stepping in front of her. He was a slightly taller than an average height for a guy. His hair was nice, black, and cut in a cool style. He had glowing redish eyes, that she assumed could scan, but he hadn't scanned her himself in the match, so perhaps not. His teeth gleamed silver, and he had orange stripes tatted on him in various places. His ref costume was slightly unique, in the fact that it glowed green and red in a few spots.
"Just spectating, I swear!" Elypsis answered. He narrowed his eyes, and glanced at Ren. "Hmm. I guess that's fine..." he grumbled, clearly unhappy about letting her back in. "YOU better do nothing though, got it? We'll be shut down if you use any of that illegal tech in here."
"Yeah, yeah, I got it, okay? Sheesh," Elypsis responded, holding up her hands, taking a spot in the crowd.[/color]

Elypsis had noticed quickly the girl was using some illusions to trick her opponent out. It was a novel tactic to be sure, but it seemed that big dude had had no idea. The blonde wondered how good the illusions would be if someone understood how they worked. Still, it was impressive, and Elypsis herself couldn't help but be affected by it. She'd have to keep an eye out for illusions."Sure, let's get something to eat," she replied, with a grin. As long as this person was paying, there was nothing wrong with that in her eyes. She saw the ref narrow his gaze at her as they were leaving, and she frowned, while shrugging.

ooc: haha thats super succinct haha XD my turn

Sheena stepped into the center of the ring, smiling. She glanced backwards and waved at her teammates, before winking at Machi, and her team. The girl who was the Uchiha's half-sister stepped before her opponent. Who just happened to be someone from Konoha. A Inuzuka clan member. His name was Kain. He had a traditional Inuzuka clan look, with oranges and reds. On his cheeks he had three red orange lightning barbs, and two red fangs. His eyes were piercing blue, with little bright crystals in them. He was an upcoming Genin, who was a prodigy in the clan. His little light brown dog was named Abel. That cute little dog sported a headband that was neon green.
"Hey girl," he said, in a suave yet dog-like voice. "You ready?" he asked, before taking a stance, staring at Sheena.
"Yep! Are you?" she replied, with a brilliant smile, holding out her fists.

Elypsis walked down the darkened, dreary street, that the other girl named Ren didn't seem to notice was such. It was a little unusual, to find someone so chipper and cheery. Her eyes trailed up and around, the sky-high buildings enclosing on all sides. Most rundown, and looking more like giant pillars of stone than anything, but offering none of the regality of such structures. Then her eyes trailed around. Few shuffled about, most wearing hooded clothing, looking closed-off, not really wanting to deal and mess with each other. Even though the place looked awful, lights from Ether-powered sources reminded one of the advanced state of technology.Elypsis's eyes stared straight into a camera, that she swore was staring straight back, specifically at her.
Turning away from it, feeling uneasy, she spoke, "Um, I never really eat anything fancy, but let's try there," she motioned, pointing at a place, with a bright sign: 'Neon Tress'. "I've always wanted to try their 'Spark dishes', but never could really afford." She glanced down at her arm, seeing the time. Furrowing her eyebrows, she calculated how long it would take to eat. "We gotta eat fast, I need to go see Teri about something..."

Elypsis was still not used to the hyperness of this person. Most people were like zombies or leeches. Or a mix of both. Teri could be rambunctious, but she knew, always knew, that underneath that exterior there was a near-soulless man, waiting in the darkness, just waiting. And that was what the major issue with the world seemed to be. Darkness. Everyone seemed to have a certain darkness within them. Though, it hardly seemed to manifest in Elypsis herself. She was optimistic, but learned to be cautious. She wondered who Ren truly was.The girl sat down, and waited for the meal to show up. Ren either knew this place, or just ordered haphazardly for the two of them. Elypsis wasn't sure if that was fine, but didn't say anything. Positioning herself in the booth, with her rifle next to her, she glanced down at the thudding on the table. "Oh? Steel hands? You don't have Synth-skin? Steel isn't common."

ooc: kk, coming up hehe ^^

Kain blinked, as his dog Abel barked next to him. "Wait a sec..." he murmured, glancing up at the stands, his eyes landing on Machi. "You look like a certain girl I know..." he trailed off, meaning of course the Uchiha, with which he had a personal rivalry with. It was true, Machi harbored rivalries with her teammates, but she also had a certain other rivalry in the form of Kain Inuzuka. She had often bested him, but did tend to find his feral attacks troublesome. The two were often caught wrestling in their younger years. Kain always wanted to surpass, and crush Machi in a battle.
"Oh, that's cuz she's my half-sister!" Sheena replied kindly, flashing her signature smile.
Kain looked slightly surprised. He read the symbol on her band, which gave away her place of origin: the Land of Lightning. "Unusual," he commented with a growl, bending downward, readying the signature 'Four Legs Technique' of Inuzuka clan members.
A grin crossed his mouth, revealing his fangs. "Well! This is a treat then! If I beat you, it helps on the way to defeating your sister! Prepare to witness why I -Kain- am the prodigy of the Inuzuka clan!" Preforming the appropriate hand signs for the Shadow Clone jutsu, he spawned 3 other clones. "Abel! Man-Beast Clone!" he shouted, while the 3 clones and Abel all 'poofed' into perfect copies of himself. The five stared down Sheena, growling ferally.
"Sheena vs Kiba Inuzuka! Begin!"
With that, the fight began instantly. All 5 'Kains' rushed down Sheena, swiping, kicking, clawing, and biting at her. The girl kept toe to toe quite easily, with impeccable dodging skills. Light on her feet, she retreated, and flipped between two, all while maintaining composure. To Machi, while Kain's attacks were feral, and all-over-the-place, Sheena looked like she was dancing.
A step backwards, and she counterattacked, forming quick hand signs. "Lightning Style: Seeker Current!" She called, pointing with two fingers outward. A blue stream of lightning shot out, flashing across the white marble battlefield. It zigged and zagged with a mind of its own, before delivering three decisive blows, popping the three clones like popcorn. As the jutsu wore out, Kain and his cloned dog, Abel, leaped at her. She twirled and quickly said, "Lightning Style: Strike Twice!" Before punching Kain, sending him away with a burst, and kicking Abel, and sending him away with a burst, both in opposite directions.
Kain hit the ground simultaneously with his man-cloned dog. Skidding he grunted, glancing up at the poised girl as she landed. "Heh. You're not half-bad," he half-praised, wiping some blood from the corner of his mouth. Getting up, he snarled, "But we're not done yet! Abel! -Fang Over Fang!" He and his dog both leaped and began to spin quickly, rotating in a vicious taijutsu that looked like razor wind, both flying at Sheena from either side.
She deftly dodged, timing was crucial, as the clawed taijutsu just passed her on both sides. Flipping she landed posed to dodge once more. Again, she avoided the attack, as Kain's taijutsu continued to relentlessly pursue her.
Sheena narrowed her eyes, tolerance for this low. She held out her hands, and caught both Kain and Abel, much to the opponent's surprise. Their rotation began to decrease in the palms of her hands, until finally they stopped. As soon as they stopped, Sheena clasped them both, slamming them into each other, and flinging them upwards like rag dolls. Using her speed she continued her assault, before hitting and kicking both quickly, sending them crashing to the ground once again. She momentarily glanced down at her hands, the palms red, and smoking. She was used to flinging lightning, but even still, their taijutsu left marks of hot friction. She grinned, "Hey, you're not all talk it seems," she complimented him back, finally.
Kain was recuperating on the ground, breathing heavily. Sheena had managed to keep up with him this entire time, much to his surprise. No, she wasn't just keeping up with him. She had been dancing around him. It was he, who was barely keeping up with her. And though he primarily used taijutsu, he could feel his chakra dwindling. Good thing he had something for that. With a grin, he stood up, the man-clone of Abel doing the same.
"Leech Fang," he snarled, as his teeth grew slightly sharper, glowing lightly. "Don't get bit," he taunted once again, before following through with more vicious attacks. He and Abel were nonstop, in their co-op style taijutsu attacks. All the while, he was trying to land bites, but Sheena was cautiously keeping herself just out of his jaw's clutches. Irritated, he decided another approach. "Abel! Passing Fang!" Suddenly, Abel began his rotating taijutsu attack, from Sheena's side, catching her off guard, and forcing her to dodge at an odd angle as the attack just barely passed her. With a flash across his face, Kain leaped forward, and sank his fangs right into Sheena.
Sheena screamed out, feeling his teeth pierce her skin, glancing at her arm, she saw him there. More importantly, she felt what he was doing; siphoning her chakra using his teeth! That's what that strange jutsu was! Retaliating quickly, before he was able to drain all of her chakra, she shouted, "True Lightning Cloak!" Lightning immediately buzzed around her body, catching Kain, and flinging him off as he growled in pain.
He fell back away from her, but she felt her chakra was low. Even in that quick bite, he had managed to siphon that much chakra? What a nasty technique! Sheena knew she had to end this quick. Forming the hand signs in a mere second, she intoned her jutsu, "Secret Lightning Technique: Black Lightning Hammer! Swing One!" At her behest, darkened lightning began to spark in the air, and as she brought her hands downward in a movement, black lightning crashed down towards the ring, sending Kain flying back even farther, and connecting with Abel, causing the dog to revert back to his normal dog-like self. Abel fell down, whimpering, and twitching.
Kain gasped, "Abel!" he shouted in concern, spotting the little light brown dog whining in pain.
"Swing Two!" Sheena shouted, swinging her arms forward. The Black Lightning followed suit, flying forward, ripping apart the otherwise pristine marble floor. The attack connected with Kain, and as he screamed in pain, he was flung against the wall, before he fell.
Kain was not amused anymore, he leaped to his feet, ready to strike back more vicious than ever. Which, fortunately, he was at liberty to do. "This is more chakra than I imagined you had, thanks for it!" He flexed his hands, "Ebony Claws!" he shouted, as his claws grew out, turning as nasty, but shiny black color. "Abel! Man-Beast Clone! Ebony Fang Over Fang!"
He leaped up, and together they formed a big tunneling fang attack, with most of the coloring of it being black from his 'ebony claws'. If it wasn't apparent, the Ebony claws were much nastier, as they had the habit of being extremely sharp, with the potency to shatter anything. The tunneling spiral dipped towards the ground, and ripped apart the marble flooring, before dipping up and sailing directly at Sheena.
She was at her limit, but had enough for just one more jutsu. At the last possible second, she flipped over him, and said, "Lightning Strike Twenty Times!" Before releasing a burst of dome-like-lightning over Kain and Abel. The lightning caged him in, shocking him through his own taijutsu. Within moments, Kain and Abel fell, completely unconscious, it didn't take much longer, for the proctor to announce Sheena the winner.

Elypsis sipped at a drink brought to her, while listening to this girl Ren. She was still struggling to place this person, but her words seemed to highlight something specific. She didn't think of herself as human anymore? "That sounds sad," she murmured her thoughts.
"Still, steel reinforcements are strong, but are heavy. And yet, that's what Synth-muscles are for," Elypsis commented. It wasn't like she was talking it down, she was just commentating on the unusualness of it. A lot of the tech in people had various materials. Steel was used, but not in large quantities as it tended to be quite heavy to use and move in. Only the staunchest of people used a lot of steel in their upgrades. Often, it was used as sort of armor, but Synth-Skin could be just as durable in most cases. In extreme cases people used Titanium. Though that was very rare, as it was the heaviest, and made moving quite difficult. Someone had to be quite confident to lug around Titanium-made human-tech inside of them. It did though, offer the best protection. So there was that going for it. -
Completely ignoring Shizuka's words, Mimichi merely had a sadistic grin on her face, wildly distorting her features. She even hung herself in an odd body position. Her pale hair dangling around, like some old hag. She began to lightly laugh. "You got lucky last time..."
Her voice was raspy, and eerie, as it trailed off. Bones began to creep up through her skin, poking out, piercing through at odd angles. White breaches upon her person, extending outward. "Heh heh! Rikuto was mad. But even his anger did not match the depths of my own." Uncurling her fingers, as the skin began to vanish, bone-claws replacing them, her jaw began to reshape, and her eyes sunk in, glowing red in pitch black sockets. She hauntingly said.
"We're all monsters here, teh heh heh heh."
She screamed out, as her transformation was complete. From young, innocent girl, to monstrous bone-creature, with even a tail made of bone extending behind her. Her form reached out, and creaked with its disharmonious movement as she screeched.
"The Genesis Dust changed us! We grew, and became something more! 'Kaguya Construct: Draconic Annihilus'!"
She leaped up into the air, and sprouted wings made of bones. They began to wildly flap, and for a moment her movement in the air was distraught, but it took just seconds for her to right herself. As she flapped, whistling was heard, as the air traveled through hollowed out bones. "Ready worm? 'Shells' has grown to 'Scales'."

Elypsis did not know this 'Mr. Hardwood' guy, but she understood what Ren was saying. He was her 'Docanic'. Which made sense. Most people had one they relied on. "Yeah, I get it. Even when you use heavy stuff, you still trim some of it down -so to speak. They're always looking for enhancements and way to make certain things lighter. -I get it." For as much as she spoke about it, Elypsis did have pieces within her that was steel, it was hard to get around having some. Most vital organs were made using pieces of steel in fact. To protect them. Especially with Channelers, who were often fighting. As the waitress came by, Elypsis looked slightly flustered, and mumbled, "Oh, ah, thanks, yeah. Thank you." As she left, the blonde glanced at Ren, "Anyway, Ren, Mr. Hardwood sounds like a great man, if he's been so thoughtful towards you."
