"Good morning," Ember mewed, his words slurring slightly as they always did right after he awoke. "Hungry?"

"Meditate, Pound, and Detect. She's sure to learn Fake Out soon, if you train her," Juniper said bluntly. "Ah, here's a nice example of the Pokemon here! Look, a young Patrat is just near the edge of that tall grass!" She pointed out the small Pokemon gazing warily at all the trainers.
"Aw, look at him! He's so cute. Look, here come another one!" Tara said, practically drooling as another, larger male Patrat scampered a little closer to the trainers.
(If Tara was me she'd say something like this: 'It's so cute! I wanna kill it!')

"Do you know if there are any fish in there? If not I could catch a mouse or something," Ember mewed casually, lapping up some water himself.
-
Ember waited at the edge of the pool, making sure his shadow was cast on the ground. One paw was raised slightly. His eyes locked on a small ripple in the water. The rest of the pond was still as he scooped his paw into the water, claws unsheathed. The fish flopped onto the ground, slowly running out of oxygen. His merciful fangs sunk into the prey's neck.
"Yeah, it has fish," He mewed. -
After a few moments of waiting at the water's edge, Ember couldn't see any more fish. "I think they all got scared to the bottom of the pond," He mewed boredly, nudging the dead fish he'd caught towards Fadedheart. "Want to share?"
-
He nudged the fish closer to her. "You can have most of it, I usually don't eat a lot," He mewed with a bit of a pained expression. He'd never eaten a lot. He tried to eat a whole rabbit once but ended up vomiting most of it up.
-
"Heheh, we're gonna end up leaving most of the food we catch for the flies," Ember joked, taking a bite of the fish. It made him a little squeamish just looking at food, but he was able to choke a few bites down.
-
Ember gaze a wry chuckle. "Well, maybe if they had more of our left-overs to eat they wouldn't try to steal kits and such," He mewed, prodding the half-eaten fish.
-
"Well, we shouldn't worry about eating habits right now!" Ember mewed suddenly, his ears perking up. "I think we should take a stroll through the forest. It's so beautiful this time of year," He meowed, flicking his tail.
-
"Good, good," Ember mewed quietly, trotting towards the leafy forest. The morning was still cool and there was dew on the grass. The chirping of birds filled the sky with beautiful music. Drops of water slid off of leaves and splashed on to Ember's pelt. Rather than annoying, they were cool and refreshing.
-
Ember breathed in the sweet scents of the forest, closing his eyes in simple delight. His paws were wet with dew and his tail was held high in the air. "You know, you look beautiful when you're in the forest," He mewed, suddenly stopping med-step. "Do you smell that?" His voice was urgent.
(Mind if I make this interesting?)
-
Ember opened his maw, letting the strange scent flow over his tongue. "It smells like a fox, I think. Better watch out, it seems close," He mewed, taking a few light steps. His heed was in vain, as he could see a red-furred bushy tail from behind a nearby bush. The fox snarled, leaping at the two cats viciously.
-
Ember hissed, lunging towards the fox. His claws grazed its nose, and hot, sticky blood oozed out slowly. Though his main attacker was Ember, the fox only noticed Fadedheart, who looked like a tasty meal. He was knocked to the ground mid-leap by Ember and pinned to the ground with claws raking across his stomach.
