Hawkclaw looked at Lavaflow.

IC: "What?" she mewed.

OOC: Uninspired post is uninspired. ._.

"Hey," Lavaflow mewed to Hawkclaw. "Do you want to go hunting or something? I mean-" she stuttered awkwardly, her face reddening. "We're not exactly busy right now, we might as well do something useful."

"So?!" Lavaflow followed Hawkclaw and Crystalpaw out of camp. "How do we know that wasn't just another trick? And even if it's true, and Dragonstar really does want Nightshade to be leader, how can we be sure she's not... wrong?!" Lavaflow growled, partly at Crystalpaw, partly at herself for doubting her former leader. Nevertheless, she had to say what was on her mind.

Lavaflow looked down at her paws, muttering angrily.

"yeah, well, i didn't exactly get a chance for that, did i?" Lavaflow thought bitterly, digging her claws into the leaf litter. "C'mon." she said without looking at Hawkclaw, not really expecting him to follow. "Let's go."

Lavaflow stomped off, snarling, leaving a trail of obsidian pawprints.

Lavaflow lay down in an old fox burrow a ways away from camp. She put her paws over her face and moaned, feeling guilty sad and furious all at the same time.

Featherdragon flew back to camp and grabbed, Belynda, and flew back to her cave, she knew it was time she showed her kit were she went when she was gone.

Haledance needed to heal something, she was going insane.

Lavaflow growled in agreement. "Yeah, we can't just let this slide, let a murderer lead the clan." She glanced back in the direction of the camp. "But, he's a leader now, with nine lives and the approval of Starclan. What can we do?"

"Of course, of course." she mewed, shaking off her uncertainty. "Don't worry, I understand."

"We can't just walk into camp and drive Nightstar out, not just the two of us. The others will surely defend him." Lavaflow mewed to Hawkclaw. "We have to start recruiting."

Hawkclaw looked away, blushing.

did he just... ? Lavaflow watched Hawkclaw out of the corner of her eye. "You ok?"

Lavaflow stared at Hawkclaw in suprise. "Are... are you sure you didn't get that backwards?" she spluttered, not sure whether he was joking or not. "I mean, me? The slob of the clan? The one no-one notices? Sure, my power's pretty strong, but half the time I can't even control it. I..." she trailed off, then went red in the face. She hadn't ment to show how much scorn she had for herself.

Lavaflow purred happily. "Thanks." she mewed, grinning.

"We should go back to camp." Lavaflow said, glancing back at Hawkclaw. "If we're going to get cats to help us, we need to go back- but only for a little while."

From her perch on the cedar, Lavaflow spotted a cat she didn't recognize. She glided down and landed in front of him. "What are you doing here?"

Lavaflow listened in silence for a few seconds, but her patience finally ran out. "Shut up for a second, will you?" she snapped irritably. "Yes, we're real. We can all fly- well, most of us can, and we all have powers. Want to see mine?" The air around them had gradually grown warmer as they talked, and the stone under Lavaflow's paws was glowing red. She lashed her tail and a glob of magma landed a tail-length away from Cloud. "Kay, demonstration over. Now why are you here?"

Lavaflow finally arrived at camp with Cloud. She glanced briefly around the cavern that was her home, and then back at the visitor.

Lavaflow saw Shadow crash and sniggered. "Nice landing, flea-brain." she jeered, padding over.

"I your fur- I dunno... blacker?" she asked, badly disguising the worry in her tone.

Lavaflow got to her paws and stormed off towards the warriors den. Normally she would have left a jerk like that with a few scorch marks to think about, but today she just wasn't feeling up to it. She sighed and looked down at her paws, and let out a shocked yowl when she found that they were now much darker black than usual. "It's just soot..." Lavaflow murmured, trying to reassure herself, but she knew that that wasn't it. Her paws were way darker than just soot could make them. "D*mnitd*mnitd*mnitd*mnitD*MNIT!"
