The two cougar cubs found a pile of dead rabbits. The crept inside only to find a trap snap shut on them. Jasmine crept out of her hiding place to see the young cubs. This wasn't what I planned, but I think I'll raise them as my own... The two cougar cubs were very young so she suspected she would be a decent mother. She wouldn't let any kit or cub die.

Jasmine found a nice den and dragged the rabbits in. Then she picked up a the tom cougar cub by the scruff and dropped him in the den. He eagerly began to eat. She then scooped up the she- cougar cub and dropped her in the den. They all began to eat.

They quickly finished their meal and the cougar cubs curled up next to Jasmine and fell asleep. "Rest well little ones." she murmured. What shall I name them?she thought. Oh well.... I'll figure it out in when I wake up. and she drifted into a light sleep.

Jasmine woke up a little later with an idea of what to name her two cougar cubs. She knew a special naming ceremony for orphans. She prodded the two cubs awake and told them about what she was going to do. The cubs hopped up and down in excitement.

Jasmine started the ceremony with the tom cub. (The ceremony words are a secret :(. Sorry.) "Your name shall be Viper. Be strong young one for times are tough." The she did the she-cub. (Once again a secret.) "Your name shall be Raven. Be witted young one for times can be complicated." The cubs jumped up and down at their new names. Jasmine chuckled

The cubs grew quickly and soon they were as big as Jasmine. Jasmine taught Raven and Viper many things, including how to hunt and to fight. They learned quickly and grew smarter by the second, meanwhile Ruth was still looking for food when she caught a grand whiff of small cat.

Ruth tried to leap on Viper. Viper quickly step-sided her attack and Ruth crashed into a tree. Dizzily she stumbled up to her feet and shook her head. She charged at him and Viper leapt up into the air and landed on her back, sinking his claws into her back. Blood spattered and Ruth yowled in pain.

Ruth tackled Viper knocking him over. He threw her off and she smashed against a boulder, blacking out. Viper walked over to her and raised his paw, long claws unsheathed, he wouldn't kill her, but he would leave her a little 'present' s remember him. He lashed his claws then he walked away. Proud of what he had done. Now heres a story! My sis will be so impressed! he thought as he bravely trotted off.
