Renata pulled her knees to her chest, trying to shut out the images of e gruesome scene from earlier.

Renata lifted her head, "Yeah..." She murmured quietly. Her hand seeking out his, a sad smile placed on her lips.

Renata sighed, "I keep seeing her die..." she whispered.

Renata leaned into him, "Where were you?" She asked softly.

Renata stiffened, "Is that girl still out there?! She'll freeze, or starve or..or..." Renata looked up at Danny with pleading eyes. "Can we please help her?"

Rayneblaze swiped her tail across Squirrelpaw's mouth, "Shh! You'll scare all the prey away..." She said with a slight chuckle.

Renata nodded, "Oh, okay...Thank you..." She murmured. "And if you have a bad feeling, than we can forget about her..." Renata said with a smile.

Renata shrugged, "For at least trying..." She said softly.

Renata sighed, "Um, I don't know...I haven't eaten in a while..." she said blushing.

Renata nodded, "Soup....sounds good..." she said brushing a hand over Danny's bangs. Her ice blue eyes traced over his face. Brushing her own chestnut colored hair from her face she smiled.

Renata blinked, so unused to being complimented and cared for. "Th-thank you..." She stammered blushing. "You're very...handsome..."

Streamclaw bent his head closer, nudging her jaw open as he tried to push the water from her lungs. At the sudden rustling of bushes, he jumped, turning to defend Snowpool. When Snowpool's friend appeared, he stepped aside. "She was drowning, and I dragged her out...I was getting the water out of her lungs when you showed up..." He meowed cooly. His coat fluffing out to keep warm.
