Raynekit watched from the foliage, her silver-blue coat shone in the sunlight. She licked a paw a brushed it over her ear, muttering to herself as she did so. "I'm the oldest kit in the nursery and I still haven't been mentored!" She complained as she stretched her lithe form. She was loyal, curious, brave, and a quick-thinker. Though Raynekit had not made any friends yet. She longed to walk with a friend by her side as they hunted for the clan, but it hadn't happened yet.

Raynekit raced out of the nursery after hearing her leader's yowl, this was her chance! She was 7 moons old and still hadn't been apprenticed yet! She quickly groomed her light silver and blue coat, her single midnight blue eye looked around with it's ice blue partner. "I have to be apprenticed...I'm the oldest kit in the nursery..." She murmured to herself. Raynekit didn't know where to sit, she hadn't made any friends yet because all the other kits thought she looked weird.

Raynepaw peeked her silver-blue head out from the tight ball she had curled into. The other kits were conversing and socializing, while she just sat in a corner alone. It wasn't her fault some of them thought she looked funny because of her one midnight blue eye and one ice blue eye. She was 7 moons old and still had been apprenticed recently, yet she was lonely. When she had been born, she was alone in a meadow with a star filled sky. Shimmering cats with stars on their pelts had arrived to groom her tiny form, "StarClan will send Rayne down on the Thunder-Clan...Gracing them with a powerful gift." One of the starry cat's had whispered into her ear. She was confused as they picked her up by her fluffy scruff, placing her among a litter that had just been born into the Thunder-Clan. "You will accomplish much, young Raynekit..." the tortoise shell she cat had murmured before the starry pelted cat's had gone.

Lilacpaw dreamed of StarClan that night, they showed her a familiar form. "Oakpaw!" She exclaimed as she awoke. Her blue-grey eyes darted around the apprentice den to see if he was there. When she didn't spot him, she quietly pad out of the den, making her way towards the lake. She stopped and crouched down when she saw Oakpaw by the edge of the lake. She got up the nerve to approach him, usually very shy, she noticed him alone a lot. "Oakpaw?" she asked quietly. "Are you okay?"

Lilacpaw peeked her silver-heather head out from the tight ball she had curled into. The other apprentices were conversing and socializing, while she just sat in a corner alone. It wasn't her fault some of them thought she looked funny because of her one midnight blue eye and one ice blue eye, it was as if the clan didn't even know she existed...and she was lonely. When she had been born, she was alone in a meadow with a star filled sky. Shimmering cats with stars on their pelts had arrived to groom her tiny form, "StarClan will grant ShadowClan with a gifted cat." One of the starry cat's had whispered into her ear. She was confused as they picked her up by her fluffy scruff, placing her among a litter that had just been born into the Thunder-Clan. "You will accomplish much, young Lilackit..." the tortoise shell she cat had murmured before the starry pelted cat's had gone.
Lilacpaw shook the memory from her head, padding into the forest as she mulled over what another apprentice had said earlier. They had told Lilacpaw she was a freak, because she didn't find any of the toms cute. She just didn't like any of them, but she did like this one tabby...Ebonypaw. Lilacpaw thought this apprentice was really pretty, and she seemed nice.
-
Lilacpaw pad over to him, sitting by his side. She licked a paw and brushed it over her ears, "No your not...I can tell you aren't okay...Did something happen?" She asked the tom. Her voice was filled with concern and a hint of sadness. "Please tell me what's wrong..." She finished gently. Her tail touched Oakpaw's shoulder lightly in a sign on compassion.
-
Raynekit looked up, "Really...You mean it?" She purred with happiness. Wrathstar HAD to say yes...he just had to. She pad over to the cat. "I'm sorry I don't know your name...I am Raynekit..." She said and bowed her head in respect. "I am very grateful for what you are going to do..." Raynekit finished and looked up.
-
Raynekit nodded, "Yes...A cat that keeps their word is a successful cat..." She said quietly. Raynekit didn't look like any other cat here, her pelt and eyes setting her apart from the rest of the clan. She still remembered the starry pelted cats taking her to the ThunderClan nursery when she had just been born, setting her among a brand new litter.
-
Raynekit looked up with her single midnight blue eye and it's ice blue partner, they seemed to hold wisdom beyond her moons. "The other cat's...it's like they don't know I exist! Even if they do notice me...it is so they can tease me about my eyes and strange pelt coloring." She finally said with a large sigh at the end.

Raynekit purred back for a moment, "No! I have to silence them with my actions! I will train and become a great warrior...than they I will be the one laughing." She said with a nod. Her white paws worked at the soft grass, the single sky blue one stood out in the clan.
-
Raynekit nodded in appreciation, "Thank you Yellowflower...I hope to not let my clan down..." She said with steely determination in her bi-color eyes.
