Duskpaw padded into the apprentices den nervously. Just a few moments ago the gray tom had been given his apprentice name. The den felt different to him and his belly ached because it looked nothing like the nursery. As Duskpaw entered, he saw a black and white with a rather bored expression on her face. He also noticed another cat in the den. Duskpaw realizes that the cat was Shadowpaw, who was tossing and turning in his sleep. He couldnt help but wake the cat up; to tell whats wrong. But the nightmare got the best of him and woke him up.
"H-hello," Duskpaw stampered, " Nightpaw, Shadowpaw." Duskpaw left the den

"Actually Shadowpaw, I've been recently given my apprentice name," Duskpaw boasted, "Please call me Duskpaw and erase the name, Dusk-kit, out of your head."The gray cat was proud of his new apprentice name.

Duskpaw started to get a bit comfortable with the new apprentice den. Hmm... These cats arn't so bad. I can even say that their friendly!

IC: Dawnpaw paded into the apprentice den and looked around. This is her new den for now on. The place where she was allowed to sleep, eat, and share tounges. But, everything seemed unfamiliar. Dawnpaw missed the nursery. She shook away the thoughts.

Nonsence Dawnpaw, she silently told her self, You are an apprentice now! Your life as a kit is over. It's time to show the world what you've got, you mouse-brained fool!

But Dawnpaw felt empty inside. Everything was unfamiliar to her. She needed somone. She needed a friend . . .

Duskpaw awoke from his sleep. The first thing he noticed was Shadowpaw, staring fondly at the enterence. Duskpaw yawned then stretched. He walked up to Shadowpaw but, the cat seemed tired.

I wonder if that silly goofball even slept last night! Duskpaw joked.

" Good Morning Shadowpaw," Duskpaw said cheerfully, "fine day for some fresh kill?"

Duskpaw waited for a reply. He just walked out of the den casually.

OOC:Testing out your new siggy Chris?

Dawnpaw was surpised with the sudden flood of apprentices rushing into the den. She turned her head to a voice asking who she was.The tom looked quite tired. Maybe he had went to hunt; guessing from the smell of mice in his mouth.

"I'm Dawnpaw, one of the newest Riverclan apprentices," the she cat mewed,And you must be..."

"Oh hello Lutepaw,"Dawnpaw purred,"nice to meet you!" Lutepaw seemed very friendly towards Dawnpaw. She felt better having to talk to an experienced apprentice.

Another cat walked in the den with a chunk of moss in his mouth.
"Yes, we do need more dry moss."The she-cat mewed, testing the moss with her paw. "Actually, we were just having a little chat," Dawnpaw replied,"I'm a bit new around here"

Dusk-kit watched his brother and sister sleep on the moss floor of the nursery.They were infected with greencough and there was nothing Dusk-kit could do about it. His siblings seemed lifeless. The catnip wasn't helping at all. Dusk-kit thought it was best to go back to the nursery. The very next day, the medicine cat told him that his brother and sister had joined starclan with his mother. Dusk-kit was heart-broken. Scared . . . Unsure. . . Alone. . .

Duskpaw woke up from his horrible nightmare. His body felt hot under his fur. The silver cat wishes he wouldn't get that same dream every day. His past haunted him from here on out.Duskpaw couldn't help but noticed Shadowpaw talking to the she-cat, Venompaw.

Hmm what is Shadowpaw and Venompaw up to? I hope they don't mind me joining their conversation. . . Maybe i am a bit nosey. . . Nah I'm certain they won't mind. The silver tom walked up to the two cats and sat down. "Hey guys,"Duskpaw mewed,"can't sleep either? I'm actualy not too excited about resting again. Duskpaw was afraid that the dream might come back.

"Just a nightmare,Duskpaw mewed glumly,"thats all."Duskpaw felt embarrased; Was I mewing in my sleep?!? The sun started to rise. The sky was painted a peaceful blue,pink, and orange. Venowpaw saw the morning sky; she left to train with her mentor.Sigh, I can't beleive I still don't have a mentor! At this rate, I'm going to live have to live in the apprentice den until I'm an elder!.The thought frightened Duskpaw.

The dark gray tabby shook his head. Then he noticed Shadowpaw with a blank stare. Duskpaw hesitated to ask a question about his well being but, Shadowpaw didn't seem he wanted to talk to Duskpaw. It was obvious that he wanted to say somthing to Venompaw.

OOC: Turns out, I HAVE A MENTOR NOW!!! Sorry for leaving you Shade; i have training to do. :)

Dawnpaw never thought about her current position. She is an apprentice without a mentor. Sure, hard work seemed difficult but, thats the reason why Dawnpaw wanted to become an apprentice. Sitting around like dead weight is'nt going to help her pogress on becoming a warrior.

I'm still young; a new apprentice in fact! Maybe now is the time to get a mentor. I want to prove to all the cats that this apprentice will do whatever it takes to become a respected warrior!

"I've had a really good time chatting with you guys, but i beleive it is time for me to find an mentor. I hope I get to talk to you, Lutepaw, again. Keep up the good work Sparkwolf!" when said, Dawnpaw hurried out the den.
